Logobenz1:
So I live in a cool neighbourhood In a compound that has 4 apartments.
Usually,I don't associate with no one in that building.I live my life minding my business most times.
Usually indoors, play some music and have my guys at my house most times.
So there is this lunatic that lives upstairs directly above me whose children makes all sort of noises that disturbs me and even at night too.
I endured till I couldn't take it any longer and I decided to go meet him and calmly explained to him how uncomfortable his kids make my house for me.
So he acted rudely that day and I decided to forget about it.
Since then he has been hating on my ass and left his parking space and came to mine instead and always block me all the time undecided
I ignored and didn't complain since I have 2 cars,I just leave one outside and the other inside so when he blocks me,I just pick the one outside and move and I no longer have to go call him to come move for me to pass to avoid trouble.
So today was state sanitation,I honestly had no idea like i don't most times and I was inside trying to make some breakfast and this lunatic came and started banging on my door.
I went to the door, peeped and saw him and didn't bother opening.u
He left and after a while,my adjacent mature neighbour came and knocked politely, saw him and opened up the door.
He greeted and was explaining to me that today is sanitation and everyone has to come and do some work outside and all,I was still trying to tell him how I wasn't informed prior to that when the lunatic came and started ranting saying all sorts of things like;
Who do I think I am,that everyone here is tgis or that so he wonders what makes me think i am better bla bla bla and he even called me little shit undecided
I wanted to punch him so bad but I held myself and ignored, slammed the door at their faces and went back in.
Then after a while, one offshore guy who lives upstairs came and talked to me unto guymen levels that I shouldn't let this cause issues and that I can just come along with him and we just show some presence and come back in.
He is someone I respect a lot even though we don't relate so I changed into some work shorts and t-shirts and head out with him.
On getting there, they had already shared work and the only one left was who was going to dig sand out of the gutters.
From nowhere the lunatic came and handed me a shovel and was really excited to show me where to dig.
I just smiled and took the shovel and ignored most of his body language and entered the drainage and started doing my thing. smiley sometimes you've gotta show maturity to some people to make them know you are the bigger person.
So I digged and poured a whole lot of sand from the drainage and freed it for water to flow easily.
Dropped their shovel, smoked my cigarette and went back in to sleep a little.
Then after like 4hrs I got a knock on my door from the offshore guy upstairs.
Went to check and he told me some people are outside looking for me that they want to buy the dirt outside to fill one foundation like that and all.
Went there after every negotiation, they concluded on paying me 13k for it and loaded it themselves cheesy
I collected my dough, the offshore guy said eye weh see must chop and all so I handed him 3k and went in with 10k for my work lol cheesy
N.a. so the guy dey look me like winch as I dey bounce dey go back inside my house with my dough lol.
I kuku use the money go buy myself some beer come stock my fridge.no time for nonsense abeg.
But I am putting a close eye on that fool and the day e go enter,I no go show any mercy since he wants to tempt me.smh for some people undecided
Keep it going don't loose guard!
PoliticsRe: 5 Reasons Buhari Dropped Isaac Adewole As Health Minister by Oksman(m): 1:02pm On Jul 25, 2019
udomoh:
Reasons Buhari dropped Isaac Adewole as Health Minister

The ministerial list has been released by the President and nominees are currently being screened by the Senate. About 60 percent of ministers returned but conspicuously missing on the list is Prof Isaac Adewole, the immediate past minister of health and former vice chancellor of the prestigious University of Ibadan.

The Nigerian Health Blog has done some researches into the reasons the man described as ‘academically brilliant’ was dropped by President Muhammadu Buhari and here are our findings.

1. Poor performance

The Nigerian Health Blog can unequivocally tell you that Prof. Isaac Adewole even with his academic qualifications and wealth of experience performed below par. In his time, our health indices dropped from bad to worse. Aside from building and upgrading the cancer center in Lagos University Teaching (LUTH), facilities in other teaching hospitals and Federal Medical Centres across the country are in shambles or at best inadequate. In his time, the chances of a patient having access to specialist care became slimmer and our health indices which was already bad became terrible .

2. Low Health Budgets/ Poor budgetary implementations

Professor Folorunsho Adewole throughout his 4 year stinct as health minister failed to acknowledge population growth in his budgetary allocation and consistently churned out budgets that is at best suitable for just buying an MRI machine and nothing more. Between 2016 to 2019, the budget he proposed and passed to meet the health needs of over 200million Nigerians were: N221.7 billion in 2016, 138 billion in 2017, N356.46bn in 2018 and N365.76bn in 2019.

His budgetary allocation does not even meet up to 5 percent of the total National budget. This was a complete mockery of the Abuja declaration or WHO recommendation which clearly stated health budget should be 15 percent of the total National allocation.

3. Increased industrial action in the health sector during his tenure as Minister

Prof Adewole’s stinct as Minister was dogged with one strike or the other in the health sector. If it is not the Nigeria Medical Association today, it will be the Joint Health Workers Union tomorrow. Mind you, a good number of Nigerians die or suffer severe complications during these unending strike actions. He also failed to resolve the unhealthy rivalry between the doctors and other health care providers that have long diminished health care delivery in this country . Don’t forget that he was fingered in the crisis that rocked the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

4. Brain Drain/Massive exodus of doctors from Nigeria

You may not appreciate the import of this. But go to our hospitals, the place is scanty of professional nurses and doctors. Most Nigerian doctors and nurses have left the shores of this country for greener pastures abroad. The ones you see are either writing international medical exams to the UK, US, Australia, Canada, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Dubai etc or are already on their way out. The main reasons for this exodus are simple: poor income, poor facilities and poor specialist training. This migration though has been a problem that pre-dated the minister but it skyrocketed in his time.

And finally, the one that nailed him and cast his position as Minister in bad light which is still trending is number 5.

5. “Not all doctors will be specialists, some can be farmers”

While answering questions from journalists in a video that has been circulating on social media, the minister was asked why Nigerian doctors have to wait for a long time to get residency training.

In response, the minister casually said that all doctors cannot become specialists and can try their hands at other things like farming or politics. While still failing to answer to question, he said his tailor makes the best gowns despite being a doctor.

He said, “It might sound selfish, but we can’t all be specialists. We can’t. Some will be farmers, some will be politicians.

“The man who sews my gown is a doctor. He makes the best gown. And some will be specialists, some will be GPs, some will be farmers.”

What more do you need to drop a minister other than above?

Rubbish! Any minister that was dropped was because he performed above average, this govt. takes delight in retaining failures. The NHIS saga comes to mind.

PoliticsRe: Obaseki: RUGA Will Not Happen In Edo State, Sambisa Forest A Better Option by Oksman(m): 9:36am On Jul 24, 2019
Astark:
The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki said his administration will not avail the federal government land for the contentious Ruga settlement in Edo State.

The Governor spoke while giving a lecture on the topic “Challenges of Pastoralism and International Migration for Sustainable Peace and Development: Edo State Experience” at the Department of State Services Institute of Security Studies (Executive Intelligent Management Course 12), in Abuja.

He said the narrative that the pastoral movement and farmer/headers clashes are not related to the security challenges in Nigeria is not true.

His words: “In Edo State, we have found so-called herdsmen with maps in the forests, they clearly cannot be herdsmen who are dependent on their livelihood from their animal assets; that cannot be.

“I think it is important in the context of this discourse to make that distinction between conflict as a result of economic activities, separate from deliberate conflict that is related to other issues like insurgency and terrorism.”

The Governor said over the years the state has had issues of pastoralists or herdsmen who have come to parts of the South, Edo State using grazing routes and mixing with locals.

“Our approach is, animal husbandry is a business just like we have poultry, piggery or what have you, so from that perspective, we want to now upgrade agricultural practices as it relates to livestock.

“During the era of General Babangida, he set up ranches in Edo; we have one in Igarra and several parts of the state. They are either privatized or left fallow, so we are talking to people who purchased them to see how they can be re-activated.

“For us, because it is business like any other private business, the state should not really have much to except we create an enabling environment for those people we want to invest in livestock business.

“So, the issue of giving state land for livestock, it won’t happen in Edo State.

“However, for individuals who have land and they want to go into livestock business like we are supporting people who are doing cassava and others, we as government will support them.”

On how to resolve the incessant herders/farmers conflict, he said: “The Sambisa Grazing Reserve (4800 ha) is an ideal and symbolic place to take-off by establishing a ranch run by the military.

“It would significantly improve the security situation in the zone and encourage cooperation between pastoralists and the military.
“In the North West, the military should also be encouraged to create ranches in the Gidan Jaja Grazing Reserve (565,000 ha) for the same purpose of improving security and cooperation with pastoralists,” the Governor said.

Obaseki said violent extremism, recurrent herder-farmer conflicts, cattle rustling, armed banditry, violent cross-border crimes, insurgency, illegal migration and other forms of crimes have “threaten the fabric of our country. ”

According to him, national cohesion is seriously threatened by the conflict “as many farmers and pastoralists have lost their lives and property in several orgies of violence.

“As we gather here for this lecture, so many Nigerians are living in fear of attack or reprisal attacks due to the growing herders-farmers’ conflict,” he said.

Besti46:
Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna in the National Assembly, has reacted to reports claiming that the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi was planning to depose the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi ll. The Ganduje-led administration queried Sanusi for allegedly misappropriating the Emirate Council’s N3.4 billion.

It was gathered that the Emir was queried after the submission of a report by the State office of the anti-corruption and Public Complaint Commission who investigated him on the alleged squandering of the Emirate Council’s funds. The report which was submitted to the Government late Tuesday is said to have recommended for the immediate suspension of the Emir.

The Government has consequently handed down a query to the Emir through the Office of the Secretary to the Government, Usman Alhaji late Tuesday. GISTOK  reported that the Government is planning on the complete deposition of the Emir when a final report of its forthcoming panel of inquiry comes out indicting Sanusi.

However, Sani urged Ganduje to reconsider his move against Sanusi. In a tweet, the lawmaker wrote: “Power is temporary, and it’s vanity; I appeal to Kano Governor to reconsider and rescind the widely reported impending actions against Emir Sanusi Lamido.”

On the night of August 20, 1968, approximately 200,000 Warsaw Pact troops and 5,000 tanks invade Czechoslovakia to crush the “Prague Spring”–a brief period of liberalization in the communist country. Czechoslovakians protested the invasion with public demonstrations and other non-violent tactics, but they were no match for the Soviet tanks. The liberal reforms of First Secretary Alexander Dubcek were repealed and “normalization” began under his successor Gustav Husak.

Today Soviet Union is gone and Czechoslovakia is now a nation of czecks and Slovaks! nothing last for ever. Instead of hailing or applauding this anomaly we should be building bridges!
