promami:Don't flatter yourself. You are not ground. The reason it was unsealed is because the property owner rushed to make the payments. The lashing from Abuja was towards the owner who allowed APC use the property and since he was owing rent it became embarrassing that a party with individuals worth trillions would be owing mere rent since 1982. It was a huge embarrassment politically and at the state level. This could not have come at a better time given the dampened mood of people in Abia towards Nnamdi Kanu's incarceration at Sokoto. This incident meant that APC's rating as little as it were in Abia had further plummeted. Abians have sworn not to go back to Egypt. Take it or leave it. |
That means the man that built Lagos with his bare hands can stop going to France |

Global Insights vs. Local Distractions: Peter Obi's John Hopkins Lecture and Sanwo-Olu's deflective Rebuttals Governor Sanwo - Olu's criticism on Peter Obi's lecture at John Hopkins University is simply a misguided missile fired in the wrong direction. It's indeed laughable to suggest that Peter Obi has no "moral right" to speak about the level of poverty in the country. He cited the reason for his statement on his presumed assessment of Peter Obi's performance as governor of Anambra State. Sanwo Olu did not provide any alternate facts responsible for the current widespread poverty in Nigeria. The issues facing Nigerians today are complex and multifaceted, involving national policies, economic factors, and more. Obi's governorship, which ended in 2014, has no connection to the national disaster we are facing. While Obi was governor, he focused on improving Anambra State's finances, education, healthcare, and infrastructure. These achievements are well-documented and recognized nationally and internationally. If Governor Sanwo-Olu wants to challenge Obi's views or academic work, he should do so with empirical evidence and logical arguments. This would allow for a constructive discussion and a deeper understanding of the issues at hand. As a public official, Governor Sanwo-Olu should strive to maintain a balance between his loyalty to his party and president, and his duty to uphold the truth. This is essential for fostering trust and credibility in governance. It's concerning that Governor Sanwo-Olu's words may come across as dismissive of the pain and struggles faced by many Nigerians. The current economic challenges and poverty affecting millions of people are a national issue that requires empathy, understanding, and collective effort to address. By addressing these points, Governor Sanwo-Olu should work towards creating a more constructive dialogue and demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of Nigerians. Dismissing the well delivered lecture by his personal but unpopular view on Obi's eight years in office hardly scratches the surface. |
Bar1941:That is very untrue. Obi governed well. His legacy marked the end of god-fatherism in Anambra. And even then his tenure as governor which lasted from 2006 to 2014 had nothing to do with the national disaster confronting us in form lower economic growth, inflation, unemployment, insecurity, massive corruption, increased borrowing and a rudderless foreign policy. |
Lumig:Why would Edo government put up this elaborate statement if they were not afraid of something? How many times have you seen northerner governors travel down here to say we are sorry your people were killed up north? The only time it is convenient for them to do so is when they seek your votes. How many times do you see northern governors add the killing of southerners or middlebelterners in the agenda or even as AOB topic of their meetings? But you see the speed at which they issue statements and ultimatums when a trailer load of cows have an accident on the road. Think like person wey get small sense. |
Why show us their faces when we know they will be released later? |

Senate President Akpabio's presence at the late Pope's burial in the Vatican raises eyebrows, given the corruption and sexual harassment allegations against him. His absence from visits to areas affected by violence in Nigeria also sparks concerns about his priorities. Some Nigerians question whether a leader facing such allegations should represent the country at high-profile international events. The contrast between his actions and the values of compassion and integrity upheld by the late Pope seems stark. |
Even if Obi had congratulated Soyinka I bet you Reno will still find ways to attack Obi. That is why he is paid not that he has other jobs. In any case Reno himself should remind Soyinka to keep to his promise and make his assesment of Tinubu's administration as he promised since one year has elapsed since the latter assumed office. Or is the revered Prof going to wait for another 7 years to talk? |
Face book got nuttin here. If you enter TikTok na there you go see comments. Make he spoil our national red carpet. No only him Waka come. Like Bola like Biden His vice shettima had high hopes on that fall but alas his hopes were postponed to another day. He didn't hit his head properly A man who knows not his origin cannot know what steps to take. There is going to be an emergency cabinet meeting to explain the fall to gullible Nigerians within 24 hours. Just watch! |

Another example of a bitter truth |
Anybody that knows the solution should advise this government because they don't know nuttin. But if you advise them wetin you go hear na statistics we go chop? ![]() |
Peter Obi has been doing these generous deeds before he became governor, while he was governor and after he left the governorship. His acts of benevolence has come under more press coverage since 2019 when he was Atiku's running mate. The striking thing to me is not just that he keeps donating money but that he always channels them to where it would be most beneficial. I wonder why some people will condemn his acts because of different political ideologies. |
idealogical:When one speaks out of bitterness and hatred it reeks to the high heavens. Is it out of place for one to state his relationship with another such as the first time they met? Is it impossible for Peter Obi to have known or met Wigwe either as students of UNN in the 80s or as young bank executives in the 90s? Is your hatred for Obi borne out of possible suspicion that he could be responsible for Tinubu's woeful performance within a short time? I am talking about inflation, insecurity and all time unemployment. |
Gerrard59:Did you read anywhere that it happened near ABSU? Something happened at Umuahia the state capital and you are already jumping to conclusions |
Kollabo419:It is obvious you didn't read the news. It didn't happen anywhere near the school. It happened in the state capital. |
Rashidi Yekini (RIP) is unassailable |
GABRIEL6036:Pls don't vote him enjoy your suffering |
Marvieduke:Obi wasn't unlucky it is the 230 million Nigerians who are unlucky. I mean the man has trained his two children who are all adults. He is a grandfather at 62. He is a very wealthy, contented man whose wealth was there before he assumed political office. Even his antagonists have tried in vain to manufacture evidence of tax evasion or embezzlement to no avail. Obi is a master class. |
Kog45:Yes you are right. Oliseh wasn't better than the late Muda Lawal, Mikel, Okocha or Mutiu Adepoju. They have been many other fantastic midfielders in the past who had character and they weren't as quarrelsome as the conceited Oliseh |
Mikel is telling the truth. Even as a player in the early 2000s this man had no respect for anybody not even his handlers and the Sports Ministry. This was why they took the Captain band from him and gave it to Okocha. |
bentenny:You are current |
Firstorderwizard:I disagree with you. Otti won because of IREV. The Obi Tsunami had little positive impact on Otti because Abians (Obi or no Obi) were tired of 24 years of the worst string of PDP governors. Again Otti won with APGA in 2015 and took 11 of the 24 seats at the state house of assembly but was rigged out unfortunately IREV had not come on board then. If you talk about Obi Tsunami it was only apparent the week of the presidential and federal legislative elections not during the gubernatorial and state house elections when many had become disillusioned following Obi not being declared winner. |
Insecurity has improved you mean |
Tufiakwa this Quantri. We have lost it totally. |
That hug 🤗 wouldn't stop Soludo from losing the grip on the state legislature. He really messed up by attacking Obi thinking Atiku would favour him. Where is Atiku now to cry to? Where is Arthur Eze? To add insult to injury, after spending months attacking Obi needlessly Soludo while campaigning for members of his party contesting for seats in the state legislature decides to issue threats. He spoke in his native dialect. He said that people should vote APGA candidates as he was not going to work with any opposition party law maker. He also threatened that constituencies who vote parties other than APGA would be denied constituency projects. |
Abfinest007:A party is a vehicle for power, a means to an end and not an end in itself. It's time to replace APGA as it no longer represents the people. Soludo who benefitted from APGA killed it. Obi left APGA in 2014 for the same reasons to join PDP. If you love APGA so much you can adopt in your state. Anambra people have spoken overwhelming from the ballot it is their right of thought translated to action. |
Just like INEC upholding Drugnubu's victory was a joke too. |
After burning our markets you think we will heed your call? We will come out in larger numbers than before. This is the more reason to vote APC out. |
We no want una maggot-infested compensation. If you do that you are rewarding your party men like Orji Uzor Kalu or David Umahi. Our daily bread doesn't depend on the useless position. |
