TooMuchStuff:You are one of the few people that understand the meaning of the the phrase "lip service". |
When ASUU went on strike because of the non-implementation of 2009 agreement and IPPIS the other unions felt that it didn't concern them. Now they are not only complaining of the irregularities experienced by the IPPIS which ASUU had earlier warned against but the sharing formula which they played no part on it's negotiation. They should have known better, the seem to see ASUU as a rival union rather than a complementing partner. |
Trump's call to his supporters for calm sequel to his incitement is simply lip service. Shocking to many but not surprising to me. |

It is the silliest proposition at the mere suggestion talk less of working towards it's actualization. Maybe under-aged married women should be permitted to smoke, drink alcohol, obtain a driver's license and sent to jail just like an adult where they commit a crime. Why should this be given the consideration of serious thought at the expense of tax payers? I would have had more respect for the apes who are pushing this if they said they want to reduce the minimum age to something below 18. They have a narrow interest in mind in pushing this agenda. Why didn't they use educational qualification or aptitude tests to determine who votes if they think they are wise? They want to give the North undue advantage because it means that even a nine year old girl betrothed to a 70 year old man can vote. This is wrong and should never be permitted to succeed. |

Will you shut up that your ecclesiastical mouth. Idiot! This is how you keep making escuses for ineptitude. |
Paolo Rossi made Espana 82 memorable. This was the first world cup I recall rather vividly. I was in primary two then. |

He didn't campaign in all the schools. What he did was to snap pictures in front of the school gates of these institutions enter Keke and head back to the motor park en-route the destination to the nearest school in the geopolitical zone of operation. Taking pics of school gates, signboards and SUG presidents (past and present) and show casing it doesn't guarantee winning. It is penetrating the delegates that guarantee wins. ![]() |

Georgia's manual recount have turned out the same results as the automated. The applications by Trump's lawyers alleging electoral fraud in the same states were Biden won are being knocked out one by one as unsubstantiated fallacy. In some cases the judges had strong words for rebuke for Trump's legal representatives. I have seen and heard from a lot of people here in Nigeria who believe Trump won not because of any proof but that Trump said so and because they love Trump whatever his views are (outwardly) at least must be believed. Trump has a long history of shouting 'foul' whenever things aren't going his way. In the 90s Trump's TV show did not win any emmys for three years in a row and he insisted that the networks were rigged against him. Trump University was sued for money laundering and racketeering and he said that the federal judge was biased in his judgement. In 2016 during the republican primaries towards the US presidential campaign Mr. Trump lost the republican party primaries in Wisconsin and Iowa and he said the republican party was rigged against him. He ended up winning the party ticket and as he was reportedly trailing the Democratic party nominee Hilary Clinton on points, Trump once again reiterated rigging. When he defeated Hilary Clinton he backed down on the rigging allegation. When the 16 security agencies came with proof of Russian interference in the elections after he assumed presidency he sat on their report while claiming he doesn't believe it. Something that should be a cause of concern to national security regardless of a president's partisan disposition. In all these allegations which have come to be the trademark of Trump in response to expected or actual unfavorable outcome in any ambition he undertakes be it political or business, Trump has never proven his claims conclusively. It doesn't matter one's love, hate or apparent indifference of Trump, the saintly disposition or devilish perception one may have of Trump what an intelligent person should ask himself should be "Did Trump win or lose"? and "why should one believe him or not"? |

Barka00:Your perfect logic is irrelevant since the issue in question is the election result and not your saintly disposition of Trump. |
And here you have a misguided freedom fighter Mazi Nnamdi Kanu applauding the attempted prison break in Warri and calling for more prison breaks. If all the prisoners (and they are a lot of them) in the UK were to be released in the same manner to the society will him and his family feel safe? We are talking about armed robbers, kidnappers, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, terrorists, burglars, car snatches etc.

Hungry4sex:When I say that ignorance has a Nigerian passport many think it is a joke. Are you not aware that the Vatican is a state with embassies all over the world and that the Pope is it's head of state? Again what is this horseshit about forcing Trump out? Trump said he has evidence of "voter fraud" which he said his well priced lawyers would produce at the Supreme Court on Monday. Today is Friday the sore loser is yet to proof his allegations. Unsubstantiated fallacy if you ask me. ![]() |
JUST TO DISABUSE SOME PEOPLE'S MINDS: I have been reading some misinformed views on this street concerning the Democratic and Republican Party in the US for some days now, and I feel I should help straighten out some of the facts. I hope some of these points will help. 1. First of all, we know that the ideologies of the two parties are different in many ways. However, they are there to serve the interest of their people. 2. There are true Christians in both the Democratic Party and Republicans party. There are also non-Christians, atheists, agnostics and extremists in both parties. Therefore, anyone who tells you that the Republican Party is a Christian party while the Democratic Party is non-christian is only telling you a lie from the pit of hell. 3. Jerusalem was not made the capital of Israel by Trump. He only moved the embassy of the US from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in Dec 2017. Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel since 1980. In fact, some parts of Jerusalem is still in Palestine till date. 4. Most Republicans are not against Abortion. They are only against late abortion. While most Democrats believe the government should allow women to take responsibility for their lives. Some top Republicans like Collin Powell, Susan Collins etc are in support of the Democrats opinions on this. 5. Every States in the US is autonomous. So they make their laws internally. That's why each state have different electoral laws as we have seen in the recent elections. That's also why many people are saying there hasn't been any ESTABLISHED manipulation in the elections because they all followed their local electoral laws. 6. Massachusetts was the first state in the US to pass a law recognising gay rights in 2004. 7. As at when Obama came to power in 2009, most states in the US already had gay right laws in practice. So it was not Obama that brought gay law. 8. All American Presidents are Pro-Isreal. Both counties are allies from time immemorial. No matter who becomes the American president tomorrow, this relationship will remain. 9. Most Democrats believe that most present-day Americans are immigrants in the land because the original owners of the country are Native Indians, as such, they believe that Trump's immigration laws separating children from their parents is wrong. But the Republicans, led by Trump thinks Children should be separated from their parents, thereby making them suffer for their parent's wrongdoing. 10. Most Republicans are in support of Gun Rights while most Democrats are opposed to it. One of the biggest supporters of Trump is are the National Rifle Association. We know that many avoidable deaths have occurred in the US because of the lack of gun control but let's save that topic for another day. 11. Trump did not reverse the gay rights bill. He only said transgender should not be enlisted into the US military. 12. There are Republican gays and there are Democrats gays. Thus most Republicans are not opposed to Gay Rights. Unlike what most people in our country he been made to believe. 13. Trump appointed some openly gay people (such as Richard Grenell, whom he appointed as the acting director of national intelligence. Also Tyler Godspeed whom he appointed as Acting Chair of the Council of Economic Advisor) in his administration. Making them the first openly gay people to a cabinet-level position in government. Note: they belong to the Republican Party. 14. The facts that the Democrats fights for gay rights does not mean they are telling people to become gay. They are only demanding that gay people should not be denied the right to life and they should be treated with dignity too. 15. The Supreme Court only gave a judgment to uphold the gay right bill during the Obama administration, thereby nationalising it. It was not Obama that passes the bill. Obama was not the Supreme Court judge. 16. In February this year (2020). The Supreme Court of the US gave judgement outlawing discrimination against gay people. Remember it happened in Trump's regime. So when people say Obama passed a gay rights bill, it's as good as saying Trump passed the bill against the intolerance against gay people. 17. Obama NEVER FORCED any African country to pass gay right laws. He only demanded that they should be treated with dignity as they are humans too. 18. Obama is not gay. We know his wife and children. Joe Biden is not AntiChrist. Kamala Harris is not Jezebel. 19. During the election debates, Trump was asked to denounced white supremacy. He outrightly refused to denounce white supremacy. 20. If God can use Trump, God can use Biden too. So I wish the United States of America the very best as they seek to remain a top country in the world. |

Where in that video did the Bishop call for violence against any religious group? He simply pointed out the problems of religious, political and economic injustices. He also talked about decentralization of power this is why the northern establishment found an excuse to link his sermon with the unfortunate attacks at Nsukka. Let me ask you. 1.,Whose sermon led to the other attacks (past and present) in other parts of the country? 2. Whose sermon led to attacks on Igbos since 1925 till date? 3. Whose sermon led to the killing of many including NYSC members after the 2011 presidential elections 4. Who said that baboons and monkeys would be soaked in blood back in 2011? 5. Who said that foreign observers would leave Nigeria in body bags if they attempt to monitor election? 6. Was it Ohaneze Ndigbo in 2018 that gave ultimatum for Igbos to leave the North before a certain date or face annihilation? If it is being blood thirsty and genocidal maniacs no region can compete with the North. |
[quote author=kingi777 post=94857914]How much are they paying you to be carrying propaganda for government? All these people accusing ASUU, why can't you ask your "sincere" government why they always renege on their agreement with ASUU?[/quotel] Don't mind the blasted dummy. The ETF, TERTFUND and the PTF people are benefitting from now would not have been possible had it not been for ASUU's resiliennce over the years since 1992. The IPIS scheme has a lot of discrepancies since it's adoption so ASUU's fears were not unfounded. The FG has simply centralized corruption by adopting a system without putting into consideration the dynamics of University payroll. |
