China copied 5G tech from South Korea, "borrowed" old space tech from US and Russia to land on the moon(don't matter what side), and launched a space station decades after Russia/US had stations orbiting earth.

The only thing China is known to have created and exported to the world is the coronavirus.

But they were able to able to to launch a space station, no? The only country to singlehandedly achieve such feat. Even the US depended on Russian rockets to visit the space station until SpaceX came to the rescue a couple of years ago.

China also leads in AI development.

There’s still no evidence that China created COVID19.

There's still many many Chinese products that can't be sold into western markets because of their poor quality/poor safety standards especially Chinese brands of vehicles.You can;t trust Chinese viagra,Alibaba has poor reputation in USA ,Chinese drywall is banned etc.

Kinmen and Matsu Islands were not part of the defence provision so China was able to shell them at will during the 2nd Taiwan strait crisis, America told Chiang Kai Shek it won't come to Taiwan defence if it was Taiwan that attacked China first. There was a time Chian Kai-Shek was urging America to help him take China back but U.S. refused all because it was avoiding a military entanglement with China. Not that U.S feared China but it believed a war with China over Taiwan does not worth it and China was not even a military power then.

Taiwanese leaders are not even sure if U.S. would come to their rescue. And I believe China is not ready to invade now all these military drills and threat are attempt to coerce Taiwan into accepting the one-country two systems.

Your submissions are apt. China knows better than unifying Taiwan with the mainland with military campaign at the moment.

China are good with civil technology because of the influx of Western company into China due to China's poor workers warefare and Copyright laws..
On the other hand, Military Technology is quite different. Ah, I will even rate Japan and Israel ahead of US in military technology, especially Israel.

Israel and Japan buys military hardware from the US and to a large extent depends on America for defense.

Immorality in my own view is doing what is not moral.
Government officials/public servants/ civil servants embezzling monies meant for the socio-economic development of Nigerians is immoral. And this immorality is rife in this our space.

Wouldn't corruption be a better term for it? I doubt if anyone can charged be to court on the grounds of immorality as that term is relative.

If you read through the op’s post, you may infer that the lady in question was a good tenant if all he could complain about her after five years of renting his property was that she took a net she bought and installed herself.

I noticed that trend too, especially among Nigerians in the UK. I think most of them are just too rigid to assimilate into a foreign culture and learn about the different products in the market.

My first visit to Europe, I decided not to take anything apart from Garri and Dried fish cos I realised I would have better options for things like Spaghetti, Tomato concentrate, seasoning etc. When I got back to Naija, the seasoning I brought back home was snatched from me cos it tasted way better than our local ones.

You may not understand. The spaghetti and seasoning they have in Europe may taste better than the one in Nigeria but the people ordering such products from Nigeria only wants to recreate the taste of Nigerian dishes as much as they can. I know this because I might have done worse.

There was a time I take a 2:45 minutes flight or 16 hours train ride to another city just to have a taste of badly prepared Nigerian dishes if I couldn’t source the ingredients to make one myself. Symptoms of being homesick I guess.

I know that if a net is well maintained it doesn't wear out because you have not business with it

A tenant can only be held liable if a case of deliberate or careless destruction of property can be established. Some apartments do come with home appliances like refrigerator, television, microwave oven etc. If any of those appliances gets spoilt as a result of ‘normal’ use, the landlord is responsible for fixing them and not the tenant. Not to talk of ordinary mosquito net that gets flaky overtime as a result of sunlight.

The said net got damaged as a result of normal wear and tear and not that it was damaged by the tenant. You should be responsible for maintaining your property, you may only deduct part of her rent if the said tenant damaged any of your property out of carelessness.

The tenant was petty for removing the net though.
