I have access to like 800k, and I am thinking of getting a Honda Accord (Baby Boy) and maybe starting a car hire service with it. I am thinking of going to clubs at night, and other spots...and other advertise on Facebook and newspapers.

Romance › The Tribalism Displayed On Nairaland Should Not Be Overlooked by olab059(op): 3:32pm On Jun 02, 2017 |
If there is ever any civil war in the future, blame Seun and his mods for indirectly causing it. Controversy sells, and I noticed that since Linda Ikeji bought her Banana Island mansion a few years ago, things drastically changed here. Controversy sells, and it appears Seun no longer cares about his integrity, as he allows tribalism to be the order of the day, cos he knows it would bring him more traffic, which equals more money.
This is a really dangerous route to follow, cos in the end, you are doing more bad than good. Out of every ten posts that hit front page, 6 of them are geared towards causing tribal wars between yoruba and igbo, one about snake or any other wild animal, two about a celebrity's life (maybe one with big boobs), and then just one intelligent post.
I guess Seun doesn't know the power he has with his forum, and the damage he and his mods are doing to the minds of the populace of this country. This is the most read website by Nigerian youths, home and abroad. I hope he reads this before a mod hides it, and I hope he is wise enough to know the damage he is doing to this country indirectly by propagating hate on his website. |

Talkwell: What is childish there,or is it when he wears a T shirt with the inscription ILLUMINATI that you'll know something is wrong !!!
You're probably an atheist,Christians won't speak like this!!!
The behavior you're depicting is what these foreigners want from you, they stick their bullshit at our faces and know we won't speak.
Gradually they'll start injecting the videos with more subtle symbolisms, until they finally go full blown satanic like the foreign musicians that are already under their control. So you that you are a Christian and not Illuminati, how is your life? You still sin everyday, and on top of that, you are suffering here in Nigeria. Better face your life and how to make it better than one phantom story of Illuminati that doesn't exist. People that believe all these Illuminati stories are lazy unsuccessful people that are looking for excuse for their failure in life. |

creamylicious: so weight is 65kg... height is 5ft 2inch..... underweight!!!!! stocking up on fatty foods from now onwards No. 65 divided by 1.57 (your height in meters) equals 41.4. You are far from underweight. In fact, judging from your height, I think you have big boobs and ass, which made you weigh 65kg. Most girls that are 5ft2 usually weigh around 55-60kg. |

OP, my BMI is well above 18.5 but people keep saying I am underweight. Are you sure of this metric? Anyway, for other experts in the house- I am 6.1666ft (1.87 meters), and I weigh just 61kg. 61 divided by 1.87 equals 32.6. I really wish I could weigh like 70kg. I have been trying to gain weight for the longest time now. I am in my mid 30s by the way. |
Literature › Re: Too Many Unfinished Stories On Nairaland!!! by olab059(m): 1:52pm On May 14, 2017 |
queenitee: That what I always say, before you criticize a writer, pick up a pen and try writing something, it's not easy. Readers think writing is just picking up a pen and writing something? No, it's not easy to create evnets, people, places and all in your head. Also, like creeza said you can start something and get lost, you don't know how to complete it just because you want to give your readers the best and make your story meaningful. Many times, I start to write something but I drop it without completing it because I don't know how to complete it. So the best you can do is encourage the writers. Your encouragement would inspire them to give regular update and not your complains. It's not easy. And also remember, writers have a life outside Nairaland
Imagine, you don't even pay to read those stories..
Anyways, I think writers can write their stories down or finish typing on phones or laptop and then paste it here.
Cc Creeza A lot of people think it is easy to create a world in your head. 1 Like |

Creeza: Op , That was harsh... ( lemmy123)
Well literally inclined human being like you think yourself to be . lemme ask you a question. ..
Shey it's free you are reading the stories on nairaland?
if you have a little sense in that cranium of yours you call a skull, like I even care, you'd be wise enough to understand that these are inspirations from random sources and most times an idea may seem like a great story at first but when you dive into it , you discover its a dead end.
That's what you call the dreaded " Writers block
It takes courage to weave the cramped up story at that point , into something people will read and believe.
And the issue about typing and finishing the project first- Mhen you ain't seen shit .
Now you might say I'm taking this personal but think it through , WIP'S generates more ideas than when you write without other people giving reviews. And note, you need a very good editor to spot errors - I'm not talking about your grandma telling you that your stroy is good - Kill me Bros .
Ruthless editors will make your work perfect, but you can move around that by using THE WIP method.

.
Stop being a critic without adequate research. . . I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong, the stories you read on nairaland are all patterned this way:
Goal - act 1
Conflict - act 2
disaster - end of act 2
conflict resolution ( climax and decline in story line ) - act 3
End - conclusion
Scene - Motivation , reaction ; leads to sequel and sequel - Motivation, reaction ; then scene again ....
It takes practice to master this, you can't even start to imagine.
Now please take your complaints about incomplete stories to somewhere where it will serve a purpose , because this argument is already lost from your POV.

gbegemaster: A self acclaimed honest man, that consorts with dishonest men. You guys that hate Buhari have to understand Nigerian politics. You can't be a total saint. You have to work with some 'bad guys.' To beat the Jonathan and the forty thieves, he had to get the help of another big thief. But at least that big thief he worked with still has an ideology that even if you want to steal, do it with style, and do some good for the people. You can abuse Tinunbu all you want, but look at Lagos and all the wonderful things that are happening there...who laid down the blueprint for all these? Tinunbu. Even Nigerian pastors wine and dine with thieves, and you want to attack Buhari for doing the same for the good of the people? Really, the end justifies the means. At least, we are a step further away from mass stealing with no conscience now. The next president would be a bit better than Buhari, and then the next after that would be better...and, like that, with time, we would have a great country. It can never happen overnight, unless we have a bloody revolution...Nigerians are not ready for that. |
