Hi gurus in the house.Please is there a way of calculating the dish size required for a particular satellite?If there is,can someone take the pain of explaining it on this forum?Thanks in advance.

I'd have love to,but I don't know how to go about purchasing HH motor and the like.I've read through the threads where people have asked this question without getting satisfactory answers except purchasing it online.But since I don't have the means,it's not an option for me.

I also thought so.So,I tried hunting with 12605 v 29950.After about 30 minutes of fruitless hunting,I abandoned it.But what seems to be baffling me is that I was able to hit around 74% on W7 with ease.Although it isn't as if there are interesting channels there except boom tv,its just a blunt on my pride.

odilibe: This frequencies belong to 2 different satellites ses5 @ 5east;12015V29950...and astra 4a @ 4.8east,;12565V29950/12605V29950 could that be the problem...track each satellite separately with their frequency..may be this will help ,better still motorize your dish..

thuggle;I'm currently getting the AIT packages via 11008 v 29999 with quality of 27-30% surprising but very stable!. Don't know if anyone is experiencing it too.

kingsley-1]@all, re scan through ait tps for you will get cctv4 scrambled but showing.... And please, my eghana and high tv don't show video only audio... And a new channel on amos5, testimony tv coming soon...with tp 12217v27496...

Is ur decoder an mpeg 2 or mpeg 4?

They are dia quite alright. Seems they are transmitting on mpeg 4 not mpeg 2 so ur rx may not pick it.
Also dey are on test transmission so we shouldn't worry to much about dem as they come and go and interchange the channels at will for now. Hope u're ok now. My Regards.

@pidzo,can u pls confirm if truly there is the ait and infinity packages on Amos 5 ku band?I input both tp's being paraded on my 4663x decoder but its red.Furthermore,I checked on both lyngsat and tracksat but they dont seem to be there.PLS,can u shed more light on this?THANKS in anticipation.

Gurus,is etv and net2 on amos5 only receivable wit an mpeg 4 decoder?I ask cos it is not showing on my 4663x decoder.Or wat could be the problem?Help me.

NB: Checking the sat/beam footprint is as important as getting the tp's. Dis helps u know the tp's to copy down and d one to discard. Hope dis helps.

Pls gurus,how can i get the dstv channels on intelsat 20.After tracking the satellite,i got all the mytv channels,but when i input the dstv tp's it just doesn't work(i got the tp from lyngsat).

Please house,is it possible to track intelsat 20 south african beam with a 90cm dish here in Ibadan?
