Politics / Stop Punishing Ekiti Because Buhari Dislikes Fayose-Fani-Kayode Warns FG by OLADD: 6:07pm On Feb 15, 2017 |
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has weighed in on the seizure of Ekiti state allocation by the federal government. Fayose yesterday said the Federal Government has started witch-hunting him for criticizing its alleged unwholesome policies. He decried failure of the Federal Government to pay the allocation and budget support for the month of January for the state. Fayose also alleged that the FG was using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to frustrate his on-going projects in the state through alleged frivolous petitions. But in his reaction on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode said the Muhammadu Buhari-led government should stop punishing the masses because the President does not like Fayose. He noted that, “The Federal Government’s refusal to release the monthly allocation to the Ekiti State Government is petty, vindictive and reprehensible. “Simply because the courageous Ayo Fayose has become the rallying point of opposition against Muhammadu Buhari does not mean that the people of Ekiti state should suffer. “I call on the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo to intervene in this matter expeditiously and release the Ekiti State Government’s allocation forthwith. http://dailypost.ng/2017/02/15/stop-punishing-ekiti-buhari-dislikes-fayose-fani-kayode-warns-fg/ Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44. 1 Like |

See gobe! The caption and the body of the post are miles apart. One says FG, labour agree new minimum wage while another is talking about agreement to review. Well, I am not surprised since APC is gradually making deceit a part of our constitution. 1 Like |

1wolex85: I don't need your opinion on the pointlessness or otherwise of my post, leave that to the other Nairalanders to decide. Meanwhile, how many times has the presidency denounced fake publications that seemed to be in their favour? What of the numerous campaign promises brandished in the media and used by APC to curry votes from Nigerians only for the party to dissociate themselves from those promises after assuming office? Don't think you're conversing with a dunce. |

obailala: Are you saying this because you're a fan of the president or simply displaying traits of arrogance? Can you imagine a United States president rendering himself incommunicado amidst rumour of death simply because he's on vacation? Is this how Nigeria wants to catch up with first world countries? |

obailala: Project Buhari's image as being a listening leader. You and I know Buhari doesn't give a hoot about Nigerians' feelings. A president that went on vacation two days after 236 citizens were "mistakenly" killed by the military could be described as a callous leader. |

Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Director of New Media, Deji Adeyanju, has lambasted those supporting President Muhammadu Buhari, describing them as “brainless". Adeyanju, a former Media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, made the remark while frowning at the alleged selective nature of the ongoing anti-graft crusade. The former PDP Media Director, who took to his twitter handle@adeyanjudeji wondered why former National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisah Metuh and ex-Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode were being prosecuted over campaign funds. In a series of tweets, Adeyanju faulted the action of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, under its acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, to prosecute both Chieftains of the party over campaign funds when they obviously didn't know the source. The tweets read, “The @officialEFCC under Magu is doing well, but it should never have persecuted FFK or Metuh over campaign funds. “The selective persecution of FFK & Olisa Metuh over campaign funds is a serious dent on EFCC. “Did FFK or Metuh know that money they got were Arms fund? They were just members of a campaign team/party. “How does this amount to me defending corruption? Most of you APC & Buhari supporters are brainless.” http://dailypost.ng/2017/02/14/supporting-buhari-brainless-jonathans-aide-adeyanju/ |

The rate at which Nigerians are been fed with outright lies and half-truths by questionable characters and agents of this administration whose missions are yet to be known needs to be put in check. I read with consternation a news item attributed to Daily Post wherein Femi Adeshina was quoted as saying Buhari may call Nigerians in the aftermath of Donald Trump alleged phone chat .The story was not only false but a caricature of the actual conversation that took place between Femi Adeshina and Seun Okinbaloye on Channels TV flagship programme-Politics Today. I watched the programme live and there was nowhere Adesina quoted Buhari as saying he'll speak to Nigerians. The conversation went thus: Seun Okinbaloye: Maybe (sic) the president can speak to Nigerians from UK(ostensibly asking Adeshina if Buhari can speak to Nigerians having spoken to Trump on phone) Adeshina: You just said maybe( laughing hysterically). In a nutshell, Adeshina never said he spoke to Buhari on the possibility of him speaking to Nigerians. He only responded to the poser thrown to him by Seun. It would be a welcome development if the phone call happens in the nearest future but twisting facts to deceive the citizens is irresponsible. 1 Like |
