when you have a blow out, push sharply on the accelerator first to stabilize car (sounds silly but it works) then gradually let go and allow it coast before stepping on the brakes to bring it to a halt.

Pulse observed that despite the music, those standing looked tired while others seemed oblivious of the reason for the protest.


When Pulse approached one of the leaders of the group for comments on the aim of the protest, he simply said “I am tired. I have been here shouting since morning”.

Another leader of the group who was seen motivating the weary protesters to carry their placards properly simply told our correspondents to ‘hold on’ and he will get back to her later.

“Great civil society,” the organizer of the protest screamed.

“We are hungry,” they responded.

Embarrassed by the response, the organiser shouted again – louder, this time.

“I say: great, great, great, civil society…”

“Oga, we are hungry. Come and settle us,” they muttered.

Turns out that idle was low and that caused it to cut off when climbing slopes.

The catalytic conv in the car has been bad for a long time and it seems it was suffocating the engine, though it doesn't get driven on long distances.

The cat was removed and it's been smoking like crazy anytime the car is started cold, smoke disappears after driving a bit.

The smoking comes up only when the car is started cold but stops after driving a couple of distance,

could it be a valve seal in the cylinder head is bad and leaking oil to the piston or
It's just as a result of the engine having suffocated for long and the smoke will stop eventually

This started on Saturday when the cat was removed.
