If a Former Governor can be this personally affected with the road expansion going on in Ogun state, why are street traders complaining ? Exhuming Corpse is almost a taboo in Yorubaland especially for a former state leader. |

Delta state needs urgent liberation. It is almost unbelievable that the confused Governor is taking his "retirement benefit" without regard for the lives of Deltans.Asaba and Warri Airport wont be finished before leaving office in 2015. Over N40Billion was wasted on Asaba Airport . Over N37Billion is budgeted for the Warri Airstrip. In a state in need of Health Centers,Schools, and Roads with millions unemployed. |

Politics / Re: Aregbesola Announces 'O’Elders' N10,000 Monthly Allowance by olafolarin(m): 10:16pm On Aug 07, 2012 |
Kobojunkie: Fact is Security vote is always determined by the Governor. There is no budgetary or constitutional limitation to it. OGD as Governor of Ogun state recieved N150 Million Security Vote while other Governors in ND still recieve more than N200Million as Security Vote. State Of Osun's Security Vote can be reduced to accommodate the N16 Million elderly welfare package. The aim of staff audit is to remove ghost workers thereby reducing the huge wage bill.Thats the fact. This will give room for the state to expend the saved funds on this O'Elderly scheme. Budget proposals of states are constantly being amended to accommodated expected and unexpected expenses. State of Osun's budget can be amended to accommodate this welfare package. I am certain that you are too intelligent to know all these except when you decide to be mischievous. |
Politics / Re: Aregbesola Announces 'O’Elders' N10,000 Monthly Allowance by olafolarin(m): 9:51pm On Aug 07, 2012 |
What most folks missed on this topic is the word "Most vulnerable" Not all elders will be accommodated but the most vulnerable of them.Meaning those who have next to nothing. Sustainability: N16 Million welfare bill is definitely sustainable.E.g The Governor's security vote can be reduced to accommodate the amount. The ongoing auditing of the state's workforce will definitely reduce the actual figure of the wagebill which will make it easier to accommodate the N16 Million welfare bill. This is a laudable project that will alleviate the suffering of the old and vulnerable.Aregbesola must have thought it through before embarking on such a welfare package. |
Politics / Re: AWOLOWO'S CRIMES AGAINST IGBOS by olafolarin(m): 7:38pm On Jul 01, 2012 |
This article has more to do with River state and very little tomdo with Awolowo. Ndigbo did not lose any property in Lagos. The ethno-tribalkillings in the North is not ochestrated by the Yorubas. Ndigbos richest class made their millions in Yorubaland So whats the beef about? |
Politics / Re: Shell To Build $3.5bn Gas Plant In Imo by olafolarin(m): 1:03pm On Jun 27, 2012 |
myola: Nobody is unfairly criticising GEJ. Nigeria under GEJ is like a moving ship without direction. Power is still a problem and he seems unconcerned about it. Boko haram is slaughtering innocent people in the North but our President took a 142-man delegation to a useless conference in Brazil. Lives are being lost daily on FG terrible roads but ur dear president keeps hiding under litigations to save his head. |
Politics / Re: Shell To Build $3.5bn Gas Plant In Imo by olafolarin(m): 12:56pm On Jun 27, 2012 |
Dollarman101: See critics. "Fg is doing this, Fg is doing that" if you have your way, you will go and bomb the place so that nothing will commence. But the truth is that the reforms are maturing and there's nothing haters can do about it. If you had paid attention to the president's speech on Sunday without watching with malice, you would hve known that this project is coming. It is simple reasoning. He said his govt is working seriously to improve on power and has Increased the tariffs to attract the oil companies to invest in gas for the power stations. Stop hating. Embrace transformation. GEJ was a former VP for hw many years? TRANSFORMATION? By the time transformation starts, this generation will be in retirement age!!! A complete functinal refinery was built in my city within 20 mOnths. Its taking Jona a decade to reharse madness, when will he enter market? |
Politics / Re: Shell To Build $3.5bn Gas Plant In Imo by olafolarin(m): 12:48pm On Jun 27, 2012 |
Mandelaguy: You people just quote things from ur subconscious, what do you know about the greenfield refineries? Have you made any findings or are you just talking? Atleast wrk has started in the one at Abia to the best of my knowledge. What do you know about East-w est road? Have you made your findings on 2nd Niger bridge? Can you authoritatively say that the work that stopped on it before GEJ came has not commenced? Get your facts right before opening your mandibles. Unlike you, i read and consult wide before commenting. East-West Road is being seriously threatened because of paucity of funds(Just like most projects in Nigeria). The same project started during the OBJ administration and was supposed to link Calabar to Lagos. Contractos handling the project have openly complained to FG on lack of funding. Greenfield Refineries was good on paper. The one planned for Lagos is still on panning stage despite LASG's efforts. EIA,Cost analyses and funding was done by Fashola with lagos funds still the FG is footdragging on the take-off. MMIA has been approved for upgrade since God knws when but till today, nothing happened!!!! Funds were allocated and looted. |
Politics / Re: Shell To Build $3.5bn Gas Plant In Imo by olafolarin(m): 7:34pm On Jun 26, 2012 |
We have heard all these rhetorics before. FG to do this,FG to do that. Our hopes will be raised and dashed by the same FG. There is a revolving door of projects in GEJ's administration. Funds will be allocated, looted and the citizenry will be more distraught like never before. What happened to the Greenfield Refineries,East-West Roads,2nd Niger Bridge, etc? Your guess is as good as mine!!!!! |

Politics / Re: Sanusi, Ohanaeze And Timidity Of Igbo Public Servants by olafolarin(m): 6:00am On Jun 24, 2012 |
odumchi: This is a clear example of the drawbacks of the Igbo 'capitalist' mentality and the 'advantages' of northern 'socialist' mentality. Some Igbo politicians work only for their own personal gain and expect others to claw their way up whereas the northern politician feeds his people and works for them. A good student of history will know that it has been like that since 1959. Thats the reason Chief Awolowo lost the 1959 and subsequent elections!!! Zik surprisingly supported the less-educated Northerners over AG after being promised the post of President.Powerless President for that matter. A clear case of personal gain over regional emancipation. |
Politics / Re: Spoiler In The Crystal Ball - Political Map Of The SW In 2015 by olafolarin(m): 6:36am On Jun 22, 2012 |
ola_pluto: You must think people in South west are drunken fishermen.Lord Have Mercy. ACN won Osun state 100% in the last election. It is the only state in SW where PDP and Jonathan is wholly rejected. Thats a clear signal that PDP is not welcomed in the state. Aregbesola met N18 Billion bank debt and many contractor debts which almost choked the incomng administration. The Ogbeni Governor started re-organising the finances of the state. As it stands today,Regional Mkt is being built in Dagbolu,International MKT is built in Oshogbo, Inter-state roads are being built across the state, Model schools are being built to re-place "poultry"-like structures of the Oyinlola years.Osun indigenes are enjoying a prudent and purposeful administration. Oshiomole will be overwhelmingly returned in Edo state. He has done more in 3 years than PDP achieved in 11. Oyo and Ekiti states will never return to PDP. Ajimobi is constructing bridges which GEJ refused to fix after the disastrous flood. Most important is the serene atmosphere which the affairs of the state is being run compared to the violent, thuggery and aggressive tempo of the Akala years. Fayemi is being over-prudent on Ekiti resources because of the huge debt he met. PDP is completely absent in the state because of Fayemi#s purposeful leadership. he is implementing his education devt program, building schools, roads etc to improve the lives of the people. 1 Like |

Oteh made some gravious mistakes that is unexpected from someone with harvard degree. She was asked some questions during the probe but she just blabbed through it with no meaningful response. She talked too much about her Harvard degree and blazing career in NYSE.Even when she wasnt asked about it. She was incoherent, inarticulate and unconvincing. Okonjo-Iweala did a better job defending the disastrous Petrol subsidy removal @ the town hall meeting than Oteh did during the House probe. Most 1st class graduates from UNN,UNILAG,OAU or ABU will be outstanding in Harvard but it takes great patience, perseverance, and humility to make a difference in Nigeria's eco-political hemisphere. 1 Like |

I have a sack letter in my file, without a letter stating otherwise I remain sacked. You sound more like a casua worker than a life-saver. I hope you stay SACKED!!! |

I watched her first probe and this one. It is obvious that the woman is very arrogant, secretive and cant answer straight questions. She obviously lead the Exchange like a dictator without carrying her Commissioners along. Her 1st class in UNN,degree from harvard and decades of experience in NYSE took a big chunk out of her Human Relationship. She is a failure in Nigeria. She can return to New York. We are even tired of our Yankee trained technocrats.Chimaroke mbadinuju,Bankole,Aganga, etc all remind me of perpetual failures. |

sholatech: I don't see how Sanusi Supporters want to exnonerate him from this. Who said Abdulmuttalab recommended and got Sanusi the CBN Job? U must be joking. He could only have supported it but the circles all know it was Saraki and he even boasted about it then. And it is also a coincidence that it was Saraki's manager that Sanusi appointed to oversee Intercontinental Bank after Erastus' sack? It will interest you to know that up till that time, Kwara State FAAC account was with same Intercontinental Bank Erastus cried Blue Murder when his bank was aggressively taken over by Sanusi. Saraki's hand is written all over it. |

PeterKbaba: The PDP vultures are so desperate in moving into the south west region at all means, they have seen how the ACN govt as succeeded in united all the yorubas, igbos and even the hausas as 1.... Have you not noticed that it is only in the South West that every Nigerian citizen is one and your right is respected... You can take a yoruba man to court as an igbo or hausa and win... You can work any were you like based on merits... The development in SW state is getting better than how it was over 30 years ago.... the progress and unity that is moving under the ACN is so past it as moved into EDo.... Can you all see... the more ACN progress, the more PDP loses their states.... This is why ACN will continue to be a threat to PDP. May Almighty God bless you and your family. I already explained in my earlier post that Aregbe is being persecuted for political reasons. Every state has a right to display its flag, coats of arms etc.Afterall we run a Federal system(at least on paper) |
