But for Mother Excellency's "visit and intervention",OBJ wanted to send OUK to KiriKiri because there was an established case of fraud against him.
That "Visit" brought the animal in OBJ out and the case was thrown overboard.

Afterall,"the older the berry, the sweeter the juice" says the old American adage.

Really?
Canyou give any reason for saying that?

Fashola just said what I believe is the truth.
Whoever thinks otherwise should substantiate it with proof.
That Tinubu supported Fashola's candidacy doesn't neccesarily mean
Tinubu is his Godfather.More known names decamped to other parties buy still
lost to Fashola.Lagosians voted for Fashola NOT Tinubu.
The onus is on anbody who doubts Fashola to come out with hard facts and discredit him.
For all I know,Fashola is the best around and I hope the whole governors will have "mentors" like
Tinubu to lead and direct them.

In as mi h as I don't. Personally like Edwin Clark for his anti-Igbo stance,he did he right thing by putting Ciroma in his rightful place-DUSTBIN.
Ciroma Is a recycled sycophant who lives fat on our purse.
Let the North produce a concensus candidate and let's see how that will
transform to winning votes in SE,SS,SW,NC and North East.
The entire Yar'Adua clan are now supporting GEJ.
May God purnish Ciroma and that his brown "goro" teeth.

This is the one factor most people discount. The Yar Adua built a very deep reservoir of hatred against Ribadu in the North. He is wrongly seen almost like a traitor there and an Obj stooge, but that is hard fact.
The only way for Ribadu to win Northern cred, is to wait in the wings while the Ciroma's, Yakasai's and the last vestiges of the cabal are trounced, then the younger progressives in the Umars, Ribadu's and El-Rufai's can step in and pick up the mantle of leadership. That way, he would play himself into serious stakes nationwide and be see as one of the heros that vanquished the cabal.

The route Ribadu is taking now is totally wrong and he will end up in limbo with a party that has allowed him make very public blunders in his interviews; in fact, he is little more than a cleanup toy for Tinubu.
In case you don't know,Ribadu can clean anything on Tinubu because there is nothing to clean.
Tinubu didn't succumb to OBJ and Ribadu's blackmail while he was heading EFCC while should be now.
He went after Tinubu during OBJ days and what was the outcome?

Babapupa, shut your dirty mouth. You are a silly sycophant. You are a silly fraud and you think others are as silly as you. Where is the Badagry express? Where is the ultra modern Oyingbo market and which of your family member is selling pepper and fish there? Which metro project is on going? Etc. You just listed Fashola's propaganda projects yet the people are suffering. Floods everywhere, rent skyrocketing, unemployment all over, no water, bad roads, dilapidated schools etc.
Your fellow sycophants are always quick to give excuses like "I agree, Fashola has tried, spent a lot on roads, infrastructure in general, Lagos is a new place. But the state Govt is overburdened". What a dumb statement.
The truth is that Fashola is a failure. Either Tinubu kicks him out or we voters will kick him out period.
In as much as you have every right to express your views, you need to be cautious and sincere.
Fashola is the best Governor in Nigeria not by default but by performance.
The share number of streets tarred and infrastructure development done by him is unprecedented in
the history of that state. And Lagos has 18 Million people livingin it.
Abia an Imo states have less than 6 million population each and you can still imagine the
level of crime, infrastructure decay, etc going on in those states.
With it's 18 Million population,crime is at it's lowest.
If people still don't like Fashola or not satisfied with his performance,Abeokuta,Ibadan or Benin is not far!!!!!!!

Lagos, Elswedy Electric to invest N18bn in power Sector

Oct 25, 2010
By Daniel Alfred
Elswedy Electric Nigeria Limited, a joint venture firm between the Lagos State Government and an Egypt_based power firm said it plans to invest about $120million or N18billion in the nation’s power sector.
The amount would be expended on the construction of a power generation plant, estimated at $100m (N15bn) and a meter manufacturing factory valued at $20m (N3bn).
The company’s Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Mohammed Radwan, disclosed this at the commissioning of its transformer manufacturing plant in Lagos recently.
He said the new generation plant is expected to produce another 15megawatt, MW, of electricity by the first quarter of next year, to complement the state’s existing 12MW from the Akute Power Plant, built by Oando Power and capacity from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN.
The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, said, “The reality is that as we take steps to improve the stock of power generation in the country, the power that is eventually generated will have to be distributed to houses and consumers through cables and transformers, measured through electricity meters in order to facilitate fair and proper billing.”

This, he said, is the critical role the company will play through the state’s intervention programme, saying, “It will manufacture and supply transformers locally, which will significantly bridge the delay and gap that importation of transformers will entail and very soon the company will start the local manufacture of electricity meters in Lagos to bridge the gap of importation and develop a local capacity.”
He also explained that the power generated from the new plant would serve the General Hospital, Island Maternity, the High Court, Magistrate Court and about 30 street lighting projects slated for the Island.
Fashola revealed that the transformer factory has a capacity of about 1,400 transformers per annum and would be expanded as the company grows, adding that about 200 transformers were already allocated to some communities in 2009.
He therefore appealed to the Federal Government to review downwards the existing tariffs on imported raw materials for the manufacture of transformers, to encourage companies like Elswede and other prospective investors to reach their full potential, while also stimulating local production and protecting manufacturers against foreign competition.
Fashola noted that investment such as this would reduce unemployment and save foreign exchange, saying, “It may interest you to note that the factory presently has in its employment not less than 100 workers and intends to employ additional 30 workers within the next one month.
“Aside from employment opportunities, this factory also affords the opportunity of saving the huge foreign exchange previously spent on importation of transformers and also guarantees readily available products.” He added.

All my educational life was spent in public schools, i was never a richboy, was not born into a silver spoon home, i know what rolls in the public schools, i went to 3 secondary schools, 2 primary schools, i am talking from 1st hand experience, IT'S VERY RARE TO SEE PUPILS OF 15/16 GOING ABOUT WITH KNIFES AND GUNS IN NIGERIAN SCHOOLS, i repeat it's very unlikely because (1), WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GET A GUN FROM AT THAT AGE? (2) Where are you likely to keep your knife when you don't even have a standard bag to go to school with? is it the Knicker? Thanks a million for emphasizing the bolded.
The problem with most posters on this thread is that they never had that rough Lagos Secondary School life.
I went to a very rough secondary school in lagos.I mean really dangerous school notorious for all kinds of fight/social vices.
I have seen many school fights/attacks.
But i have never seen any secondary school student with Knives
and Guns?
Sticks, iron rods, compass(inside maths set box) or worse still bottles are used on each other but thats it.
Students were expelled for using razor blade on each other. How can such students use knive.
I know school system has seriously gone bad in Nigeria but not that BAD.
KNIVES AND GUNS are just out of the question.

nigerian secondary schools have rivalries too.   trust me, i lived around secondary schools (ijesha boys, sanya grammar school, ayo ni o). it wasn't uncommon for those kids to get into fights.

teen violence happens anywhere,  what the participants typically have in common are parental neglect and impoverished backgrounds.
Nobody is disputing that!!!Those days,You need to see an ordinary inter school football match between Igbobi College and Angus memorial(they both share the same compound). It will end up in a free for all.

But we are say is that it is not this rampant.Exceot maybe in PH,i hardly hear or see any secondary school kids using guns on each other.
I was born, bred and schooled all my live in Lagos.I went to one of the most notorious secondary schools in Lagos.
WE just need to be more realistic.

In lagos state,Principals Cup Football competition brings the worst out of every school but still the number of those injured is never as high as what we read daily in Uk schools. Its not only limited to UK but also in germany.

Most "agberos" are created by the failure of the Govt. Most are school drop-outs who ran away from away from home only to be a nuisance somewhere else.

Ask me for a list and i'll give you many.

The choice is yours to raise your kids anywhere you want but why do you think some parents send their kids home(Nigeria) for secondary or University education?
CrimeRe: Another Nigerian Kid Shot Dead - London No Place To Raise Your Children ? by olafolarin(m): 3:53am On Oct 25, 2010
Nigeria to an extent is much safer because there are auntys, uncles, grandparents etc to look after the kids when the parents are working.
I spent almost 3 yrs with my grandma while my parents were studying in Uk.
That didnt make me a terrible boy or grow up to be a menace.
In  Nigeria, most children see people to look up to.They get disciplined by the extended family and/or the entire society
I grew up in a low-income area of lagos and still you just have to be right.behaviourally(MUST) and educationally(if you have the potentials to)
because you see your mates doing great things and immediately you didnt pass your WAEC,GCE or JAMB on time,
friends will consciously or otherwise start to neglect you. You'll be forced to start burning those night candles to be at par or relevant.

Kids with Bad character are seriously scolded by the entire society. In this case i mean such kids will be avoided by either their mates and/or their parents.
Most of what we see as bad character in Nigeria is nothing compared to kniving, violence or outright murder going on in these "civilised" world.

"Absentee" parents are even more on the recieving side. They loose on both sides.Kids get bad and the money they make from slaving themselves wont be enough to repair the damage.
Nigeria is far better to raise kids than UK.Thats my 2 cents

Exactly, you have hit the nail on the head.

It is not even kids killing only kids, they attack adults too. How dare a 10 year old walk up to an adult and slap the person, how dare a 10 year old look at an adult and say "what are you looking at", because there is no deterrent.

Summertime, they go round setting off fire hydrants wasting water, you call the Fire Department to come, one told me, "sorry we can't come in the daytime, the kids will stone us" WTF!!!!!!!!

I nearly flipped one day. had this neighbour with a fire hydrant directly in front of her house, and she has a disabled child. Some group of 20 youngsters, some on bikes, converged in front of her house, i accosted them and told them to move on, they refused, saying they would not. I told them again, they said "what are you gonna do" by this time, their parents had started peeping outta the window, and coming out of the front door, possibly to call the Police if i laid hand on one of them. The older ones were egging the younger ones on to switch it on, i asked why they couldn't do it themselves if they weren't scared.

They asked what i was going to do to them, i was wearing my puffa jacket and told them " look here, i live next door with my Mum and my 2 sisters, and have to share a room with them which i hate, i am 19 years, the same shitty law that makes you people prance around like prized idiots is the same one that applies to me. As an under 21, if i decide to beat the s,h,i,t out of you, i will not go to jail, but instead to a "young offenders home" and i will be able to have my own room there, with playstation, pool, etc and whilst i am inside enjoying myself, you will be in hospital treating the wounds and if you get better quickly, i can still send my crew to sort you out. . .

They started saying i was lying, then one of them said "she is telling the truth" i have a mate in a young offenders home and he lives like a king there, they all stood there openmouthed in awe, and started drifting off and started discussing this amongst themselves, and soon left. After covering about 400 yards, one of the cheeky devils piped up and asked "if you are 19, why are you wearing a wig" grin Chei cheesy I just swerved his question cool

Pls advice us why it is ok to nuture/groom an unpolished Ribadu as President while a complete package like Donald Duke becomes his VP?
Election in any Part of the World is more about numbers.
Ribadu has à Name and Resüme That will get him Block Votes in Home State, the entire NorthWest and North-Central.
The remaining North will Be shared with Trio.
ACN will ensure Ribadu's Maß vote in the entire SouthWest.Oshiomole and Duke/Utomi will ensure that He secures almost
hhalf of Southsouth votes and à tiny fraction of SouthEast.
Put all These together and the election is definitely Ribadus.

Moreover,GEJ is Most likely to Win the PDP Ticket and that'll
Force IBB out of the Party to à lesser known political asssociation.
Disenfrachised Northern youths will find Solace in Ribadu.
If IBB wins the PDP Ticket,GEJ will definitely Move to another Party but
Southsouth voters will Support DukeUtomi enmasse to Secure the VP Slot.

ACN is definitely trying albeit hard to catch on the New Young educate progressive
yearnings of the North. These guys Are tired of the recycled old thieves and Wants something New
for their generation. They'll dfinitely relate more with à Young energetic and progressive Ribadu than
IBB or Buhari whom People View As either being too polarised or strict/religious.

There is however à Big consultation between CPC,ACN and Labour Party. If a Fusion is agreed
it might Be the needed Game changer that will pull Buhari's teeming supporters to Support
the Eventual candidate that will emerge.

Finally, anything other than PDP will definitely move Nigeria forward.
