According to the BBC, Anthony Joshua stopped Charles Martin in two rounds at London’s O2 Arena to claim the IBF heavyweight title in only his 16th professional fight. Of course, we wouldn’t be Viva Naija if we didn’t get to famzing straight away, so this would be the best place to mention that Joshua is, of course, Yoruba. His name, ladies and gentlemen, is ANTHONY OLUWAFEMI OLASENI JOSHUA! The Briton floored his American opponent with a peach of a right-hand counter and after Martin was knocked down again, the referee called a halt. The 26-year-old is the UK’s sixth bona fide heavyweight world champion. http://www.viva-naija.com/anthony-joshua-world-heavyweight-champion/ |
he National Assembly on Thursday transmitted the details of the budget to the President and before leaving for China, he directed that the ministers should review the provisions of their respective ministry to fast-track the process. The document was distributed same Thursday to all ministers ahead of Friday’s Federal Executive Council meeting in order to get everything sorted out for the President’s assent. Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, who is the Head of the Economic Team, presided over the meeting. However, at the meeting, the ministers noticed that some key aspects of the budget, which have to do with government’s core infrastructure focus, were removed and the monies slated for them were applied elsewhere. For instance, contrary to the budget proposed by President Buhari for the Lagos-Calabar rail project, the National Assembly scrapped the project which the President had earmarked N80 billion for.http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/04/10/national-assembly-scraps-calabar-lagos-rail-project-applies-budget-to-the-north/ |

poseidon12:You were right on the structure of the country ,but before that you can do somethings .Nolly wood and the entertainment industries were creative efforts of people and we can see the result and they had to re- base to factor in this sectors. There are Nigerians with interest in any area that is not functioning in Nigeria.so we have to go around them, with new ideas that will take them out of business.E.g generator that can use water or batteries ,solar from the sun, generation from the wind ,generation from human waste , and other waste.or any other thing and not to depend on government .They are not progressing but retrogressing ,obj ,yar adua,GEJ now Buhari ,and its still 3000mega watts .Empirically ,something is wrong and its not the structure for now it is interest of some people .Tokyo airport generates 3000 megatwatts and Nigeria with 178million generates less than 5000. |
Pidggin:It is a deliberate act to make us unproductive and import dependent .55 years is not a joke and still having 3000 mega watts , We will never be able to generate electricity We need home grown solutions to destroy this evil people. |
