Many will be quick to blame Fulani for this, but how can we be?.certain. This is unfortunate, but we still need investigative journalism to figure out why this happened. Let's embrace tolerance.

This is where we run into trouble because of a cultural misunderstanding.

The Fulani man is a global man, anywhere he goes and it is good, will be home. The Fulani is detribalized and one of the most tolerant of other's cultures, to the point where Fulani will even leave their mother tongue and use the language of the host communities. Fulani believe in becoming "one" with the hosts.

So, many Fulani came into the country from Sahel not looking for housing but land to call their own. This is why some occupy the bush, because from there they will be left alone to develop and create a community far enough away from the indigenes in order to not cause trouble. Fulani are peace loving.

This is why the bush is important, it is free of population and fertile, so we can create new communities. However, recently these communities have come under attack and Fulani have been retaliating. All the Fulani want is to be left alone, and for peace to reign.
