Warlord3000: two more letters

Happy New Year! Thanks so much for the knowledge shared freely with some of us.

I am based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. I use a Strong SRT 4622XII decoder (with the card) provided by the satellite company with a 30m dish to receive selected channels (mostly Arab-speaking e.g. MBC Max, MBC Action, MBC 4, Bahrain TV, Kuwait TV etc).

I want to change to a free to air system.

Do you know what I can do with the Strong SRT 4622XII to enjoy FTA channels without having to pay monthly subscription?

I recently bought a Omax mini-8 decoder which I was told would work on Nilesat (I haven't tried it) when installed properly. What do you know
about it?

All I want is to enjoy some nice channels (movies in particular) on a free to air basis. Hope you'll respond soon. Thanks bro.

upright2010: @all ogas, kindly help me. I'v 1.3m strong pan dish of which i got aljazeera wit 75% - 80% but irib didn't click on my 4663. Also what is active tp for amos 5 and intelsat 7/10 c band. Thanks

guass: I learned that the recent internet key sharing(IKS) Decoder, QSAT in particular, has been going off and on in recent days. From a reliable source, yesterday 1st January 2014, people using Qsat decoders were disappointed as it failed to work. However, it is likely to work again but its failure for now is frequent.

me think their problem is sellin more boxes n forgetin to expand their servr. There is competition now in the market with Zoro z3 on the lose n blazin very hot

Kosemanik: Pls guru in d house, i have decoder with no rf dat can make it suply 2or more tv pls hw can i do it and what and what am i needed if posible pic of dos materials

olenyi: Go to the market and get one female iron tv plug, 7 iron male tv plugs, 16 f connectors, two 4 ways eurostar splitter (or one eight way splitter if you can get one), one alcad av to RF converter signal amplifier (#8000), two packs of tower plastic clips, and one or two rolls of coaxial cable.


Now connect one f connector to one end of your cable. Screw on the female tv plug and plug to your alcad converter. Connect your av wires to the rx and the other end to the appropriate ports on the converter.

Now run your cable accordingly using the spliter to split the signal coming from the converter to the different tv's.

When you are done laying your cable, plug in/on your alcad converter and viola, you are done.

Alternatively, look for any old video cassette player with channel settings or some dvd players with ''RF in'' and ''RF out'' ports. Just plug your av wire coming from your receiver video and audio out ports to the video cassette player av in port. Then connect your cable with the f connector and the female tv plug to the ''RF out'' port at the back and you are good to go.
