Nairaland GeneralRe: The World Will End 12th April 2020 At Night – Prophet David Uwuor by olowo1995(m): 7:31am On Apr 13, 2020
faith2kool:
Self-proclaimed Mighty Prophet of God, David Owuor, has prophesied that

there is a more devastating and scary calamity in the coming days which will

replace the dreaded coronavirus.

Owuor, who is the head of Holiness and Repentance Ministry says the pandemic

worse than the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Owuor states that the world

should be prepared for the pandemic which he says will completely wipe out the human race. In the same video clip. Owuor says that human beings will be struck by painful boil

“There is a tremendous plague worse than the coronavirus that you see in Asia.
The Lord has commanded me to strike the earth and I have struck the earth, so

there would be a lot of painful boils which are round and would become ripe full of fluid. They have a dark eye which would burst..”

Owour is not new to controversy. In 2019, he claimed that he lind foretold the earthquake that was felt across more than six counties in Kenya.

He claimed the occurrence was meant to remind Kenyans to repent of their sins.

When locusts invaded Kenya, Owour said he had predicted the menace before and that it was just but a fulfilment of his prophecy.

IslamRe: Ruling On Muslim Working In An Interest-based Bank by olowo1995(m): 11:29am On Feb 07, 2020
Grace001:
As much as it’s important to be tolerant to each other its important to remind you Muslim guys that country like Nigeria is a secular state where you can’t practice your Islam 100% except you guys want to form a caliphate just like your Muslim brothers are doing up north. It’s only countries like Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Dubai etc you can practice Islam 100% to the fullness. Where everything is being done according to Islam faith, Islamic banking system, women don’t board the same car with men, Women don’t use the same hospital with men “i.e a male doctor don’t attend to a female patient” etc with these settings you have the privilege to practice Islam fully without going into sin as you claim

Nigeria being a secular state don’t have an Islamic arrangement. Transportation system allow both male and female to board the same car, male doctor attend to female patient Non Islamic banking is everywhere in the country. So these makes it difficult to practice Islam 100% because at a point you’d have no choice than to board a cab with a male, to work in a non Islamic banking sector except you want to remain jobless if such offer comes.

So please our Muslim brothers and sisters always remember and have it a the back of your mind. Nigeria is not Saudi or Kuwait Oman Qatar or Dubai so don’t pressure the government with unnecessary protest to do certain things for you guys in Islamic arrangement . Because that MURIC organization sometimes forget Nigeria is not Saudi.

Same goes to our Christian brothers and sisters. Nigeria is not Jerusalem, Bethlehem or territory of the Israelite tribe. So enough of this nuisance all in the name of planting churches in every corner of the street.
Thank you for that, I don't know why we put religion ahead of other things, a religion that is just being practice here in Nigeria, Nigeria is not mother born of this two religion but we want to practice it more than those that owns it, Nigeria have the most religion houses than Saudi or Israel

FashionRe: Alex Olusanya: FG Must Ban Imported Dresses To Boost The Fashion Industry by olowo1995(m): 9:10am On Dec 21, 2019
TB9ja:
Popular Abuja fashion designer and consultant and CEO of Alex Tailors, Alex Anthony Olusanya,, alongside other stakeholders in the Nigerian fashion industry have called on the Federal Government to rescue the Nigerian fashion industry from imminent crisis.

Speaking to a cross section of journalists in Abuja, Alex Anthony Olusanya advised President Buhari to help the fashion industry by taking the same step taken in the Agricultural industry which encouraged Nigerians to start patronising home-grown rice.

"The fashion industry is a multi-billion industry for any nation, and Nigeria inclusive. Many young educated fashion designers and even many of the uneducated ones by the roadside shops depend on this as a source of income. This in turn brings money back into the account of the government, this is why our government needs to be part of the fashion industry and boost it more to grow."

"The major submission to his Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari is to order the temporary stoppage of all forms of Importation of fashion materials, imported clothes and so on that we can easily get here at affordable prices; basically Nigerians need to start patronising Nigerian designs. Look at what is happening in the agric sector; more Nigerians are now consuming made in Nigerian rice, the farmers are smiling to the bank and more money goes around the economy. We need that type of intervention in the fashion sector and it will be a win-win situation for all."

Alex Anthony Olusanya, a Theatre Arts graduate of the University Of Ibadan also advised that the government should make it mandatory for every government establishment set a day of the week aside when all their employees put on strictly traditional attires and made in Nigerian dresses as a sign of patriotism.

"Our law makers and other people in position of authority continue to wear traditional attires, and i must commend them for that. I see no reason why other government workers can't follow suit. You can wear traditional dresses that will still look trendy on you. Most of our designs at Alex Tailors are made in a way that you can wear them in the midst of people wearing suits and you won't look awkward" .

NYSCRe: Suspension Of Ebonyi Christian Corpers: MURIC Reacts, Supports CAN by olowo1995(m): 11:22am On Nov 13, 2019
Softcash:
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), an Islamic human rights organization, has reacted to the expulsion of two female Christian youth corpers from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Ebonyi State.

MURIC declared support for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

MURIC leader, Professor Ishaq Akintola, in a statement on Tuesday, said those expelled have the right to satisfy their conscience regarding what to wear and what not to wear in public.

“There is freedom of religion in the Nigerian Constitution and NYSC is flagrantly violating Section 38 (i) and (ii) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. NYSC is behaving like the notorious Gestapo. It is time to liberalise”, it said.

“It is not just a religious matter. Morality is involved here. NYSC seeks to destroy our norms and values. Our sons and daughters who were trained in good Christian and Muslim homes are stripped nude when they go for NYSC. This is unacceptable. Something must be done urgently if this is the mission of NYSC.

“It is absolutely wrong to force our daughters to appear in short knickers in public. It is against strict Christian and Islamic teachings. It is also an assault on the dignity of their human persons. They feel humiliated. It is a big shame. NYSC is flagrantly infringing the Nigerian constitution.

“NYSC was introduced to instill patriotism and discipline in Nigerian youth. But what kind of discipline can NYSC instill in corpers if the female members are instructed to wear atrociously short knickers that expose sensitive parts of their anatomy to prying eyes? This is a direct way of encouraging immorality and corruption.

“We invite CAN to join us in the fight against corruption and immorality. We can stop moral debauchery in Nigeria if we can all come together. Greed, avarice, massive accumulation of wealth and criminality will reduce drastically if Christian and Muslim leaders speak with one voice against all vices. This is better for Nigeria than being at logger-heads all the time.”

“We commend CAN leadership for speaking out in support of the two Christian girls who wish to dress decently. Nonetheless, we call CAN’s attention to the plight of Muslim female students who are facing persecution in South Western schools on account of hijab. It is a tale of two girls.

“The Muslim girl and the Christian girl from good homes. Both of them wish to dress decently. They feel assaulted if they are disallowed from doing so and they are both prepared to face the repercussion for challenging the status quo.

“This is why we find it curious that CAN has joined issues with Muslim parents who have gone to court to challenge tyrannical school authorities in Ibadan, Abeokuta, etc who lock out female Muslim students for using hijab.

“While the girls’ parents have gone to court to challenge the schools’ illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional decisions, CAN (which was not sued in the case) has approached the courts asking to be joined in the suit as interested parties on the schools’ side.

“We find it paradoxical that the same CAN has asked the Christian girls expelled in Ebonyi to sue NYSC. Now, how would CAN feel if an Islamic organization should also approach the same court stating reasons why the case should be thrown out?

“It is obvious that Muslims have nothing to do with the Ebonyi case in the first place, so why join issues over it? But why did CAN join schools sued by Muslim parents whose daughters are being persecuted? Is it for Jacob or Esau?

“We call on the new director general of the NYSC to intervene in the issue of the two Christian girls expelled in Ebonyi. Those two girls should be recalled. We also advise the new NYSC leadership to set the machinery in motion for a review of the NYSC dress code in line with the issues raised by religious groups.”
