luvmijeje: Not true. You are interested in power that's why you claimed Lagos is no man land. That's why you contested for seats in the national and gubernatorial election. That's why you are fighting the Iyaoloja system of government. You have make yourself an opposition in Lagos. It's sole reason for the clash of the Yorubas and Igbos. Rather than PDP, it's Igbos that are attacking Tinubu.
No matter how bad Tinubu is, Yoruba will continually choose him because he has the interest of the Yorubas at heart while you don't. some yorubas..not all.. not all of us Yorubas have our face stuck in tinubu's bothole so speak for urself next time and not all of us.. thanks. |

seunmsg: It is so easy and convenient to point accusing fingers at others for what you and your people are far more guilty of. Nigeria is in a mess today because we got our leadership wrong right from independence. And guess what, Igbos played a very significant part in foisting bad leadership on the country right from 1960.
Yorubas wanted a secessionist clause in the constitution but Igbos said no. Yorubas wanted a southern alliance to form the government but your people elected to form alliance with the same north you are now disparaging.
When Yorubas came up with an all south ticket in 1979, Igbos voted against the ticket. In 1993, we had the opportunity to set Nigeria on the part of greatness, everybody supported MKO except the Igbos. Till date, your people still gloat all over social media over the role they played in truncating MKO’s mandate.
In the current 4th republic, Falaye’s candidacy was a better choice for Nigeria. But no, Igbos supported the northern choice of Obasanjo. Jonathan was the only southern candidate that Igbos supported and they did so because he gave them over 80% of the appointments due to the south at the detriment of the south west.
So you see, your people are far more guilty of what you accused others of. Nigeria’s problems did not start in 2015 or 2019. In fact, Atiku that northern almajiri’s voted against this year is a rogue who has contributed significantly to the problems of the country. He cannot be part of the solution. 2023 offers all of us another opportunity to get things right. We either come together to vote right or we keep bickering and supporting mediocres to rule us. We are all in this shit together. apooda,amukumekoo... how does the article has anything to do with Igbos... yes,2023 offer us opportunity to vote right for Tinubu or his candidate right? its right to you as long as a Yoruba man from your useless party is voted.. didinrin oshi... what I'm I even saying sef..u this werey that supported Aregbe who owed 32 months of salaries forgetting common men like you who are deeply affected then around to criticize yaya bello for same. oloriburuku eyan |

Awol1: "No revolt is the fault of the people, but the fault of the government".
This assertion is not valid as far as the case of the downtrodden northern majority is involved.
We are not in a monarchical system of govt that offers the populace no periodic chance to assess their leaders.
But what do northern Almajiris do whenever it's election period, they check religion first, the check if you will continue Jihad, they check if you will expand Sharia to Anambra, they listen to what their Imams would have to tell them about not voting for "Nyamiri".
Capacity of candidate and their welfare, is always the last to be considered, if it's considered at all.
Until Education( Boko) stops being "haram" in the north, they will continue to remain centuries behind with their Alhajis and Imams and Emirs remoting their "tabla rasa" brains pim pom in perpetuity.
Islam has recently began to seem like a global cankerworm but the kind practiced in the North of Nigeria is even a more cantankerous cankerworm. Islam isn't the problem bro...Northern Nigerians are just mentally backward... and their so called conservativism is so shrouded in hypocrisy.. are there not Muslims in SW? why don't they do like their Muslim brothers up north. |

Oshigun: I do live and let live but you can start off a Martin Luther King with a believe in a peaceful approach to gaining solutions. In the end you end up a Malcom X when you realise others take your kindness for weakness and will never stop trying to undermine you until you start protecting yourself proactively. That is what is happening to most Yorubas now. We are refusing , unlike our fathers, to be peaceful and accommodating mugus against people who continue, till this day to take our kindness for weakness.
If the Igbos have it in them , then let them seek to change their obsession of fighting and hating the Yorubas and we will respond in kind. When Kanu said Yorubas should be killed before a Snake the entire SE showed tacit backing for that his hate speech by not condemning it vehemently. Yoruba ronu is my message. We are not the aggressors but folks like me will seek to show others we must also stop being naive to our own detriment. Go and read the biggest display of hatefest ever on Nairaland below courtesy of Igbos. You claim it is Nairaland alone but did Stella Oduah not go on to carry on personal war against Yorubas in her ministry? Abeg bruv, open your eyes.
https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan I understand you bro...I used to feel like this too until I realised we are not each other's problems but our selfish leaders. whenever I go to any market,I marvel at the mostly good relationship BTW the igbos and their Yoruba conter-parts. the igbos and yorubas despite the obvious rivalry has never been engaged in any mere street squabbles or fight.. even you,I know you don't hate the igbos, nor do I think most of these igbos hate yorubas, I just think people are frustrated with this country and just see each other as object of frustration since most of us don't have access to our leaders.. mostly these days I just read and waka pass...you can do the same bro rather than feeding these tribalists... |

Decentupdate: The embattled Governor of Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha has said that “the problem with our country Nigeria is that they don’t understand the people called Igbo. Igbo, according to him are the most misrepresented ethnic group in Nigeria. It’s only the Igbo amongst all other ethnic groups that can go to any other culture and settle to develop that culture”. This statement was made as President Muhammadu Buhari praised the efforts of traditional rulers in the country over their role during and after the 2019 elections, adding that the peace that existed could not be over-emphasized as a result of the functions the traditional rulers performed.
Governor Rochas Okorocha while addressing the people stated that “The problem with our Country Nigeria is that they don’t understand the people called Igbos. Igbos, if I must describe us are the most misrepresented ethnic group in Nigeria. It’s only the Igbos amongst all other ethnic groups that can go to any other culture and settle to develop that culture”. The Governor added “The Igbo man is the one who will hardly come back home to his grassroot without leaving a lasting impression of good development in the place he is living. But Nigerians have taken this for weakness. And that’s why at every side they’re chased from pillar to post as if they’re not part of the entity called Nigeria”.
https://www.decentupdate.com/2019/05/03/igbo-is-the-most-misrepresented-ethnic-group-in-nigeria-okorocha/ I feel for the Igbo people, honestly, the pain of Biafra is real, our government should acknowledged rather than ignore so this country can tackle it once and for all... what do I know sef. |

The fugitive has a Yoruba wife Titi, an Igbo wife Jennifer who also doubles as his money laundering partners, he also has several Hausa wives, several Fulani, Tiv, Igala and Junkun wives beside his several underage gay partners and runs girls. Who trusts a philander?
IBB is a Muslim, his wife died and he has not married another. Buhari is a Muslim, he has only one wife and has no known side chick. Abdulsalami Abubakar is a Muslim and we only know only one intelligent woman as his wife Justice Fati Abubakar. Tinubu, Aregbesola and Fashola are Muslims, they all have only one wife each. So what is Atikuchukwu's justification for sleeping around with his tiny dicck despite the fact that he is a 40 seconds man like Tonto's ex-husband? did SW really vote Buhari? the votes were splited na |

iammo: Lets get this straight, Gbaja a former minority leader, majority leader, long serving Rep and an excellent international lawyer deserves to vie for.speakership and.his affiliation to Tinubu is irrelevant, a mobile phone to a federal rep isnt bribery but a campaign souvenirs, which is 100% constituitional.
Insecurity is a Nigerian problem and not a christian vs muslim problem.. a simple study of constituitional role of a VP would had shown you, its not in his capacity to tackle insecuirity, just that you are too sentimental and insecure to know this.
If igbos crave speakership its alright, but you dont stop others for your own ambition.
