Religion / Re: Here Are A Few Churches In Nigeria That Still Preaches The Real Message Of God by oluite(f): 2:25pm On Mar 03, 2011
alexleo:

@oluite ,
yes there is no church in heaven but before we get to heaven we attend churches here where we fellowship and prepare for heaven. If churches continue with only this prosperity preaching while neglecting holiness which is the number one qualification for heaven it means that many souls will only pass through the church and land in hell at last. There is nothing wrong in  mentioning churches where the message of holiness is being preached in its ffullness Somebody out there who is desirous of such churches will benefit from the info. The truth is that there are many people who hunger and thirst after righteousness but has not been exposed to where they can get it in full. Internet is a place where info is passed. Bless you.

I am a firm believer in holiness but how many churches have you attended before you came up with this list of the churches where holiness are preached in fullness, For any child of God the bible must be your guide.I have a problem with your topic Here are a few churches in Nigeria  that still preach the real message of God one begins to wonder if you have gone round Nigeria and sampled churches and why you feel you can judge what the real message of God is.There is no perfect church,the word of God is perfect and that should be our guide and we as God's children should realise that there is no church in heaven,we will judged according to our works.We should work our salvation with fear and trembling but if this is your intent as you have just explained to me,maybe your topic is misleading then,

@poster please i will like to know your reason for this thread?
I believe that emphasis should be placed on how we live our lives as christians because there will be no church in heaven.

Romance / Re: Would You Marry Him - Even Without A Good Job by oluite(f): 10:26am On Feb 17, 2011
dayokanu:

SO if you marry a rich guy and he becomes broke 2yrs down the line you would get out?
Sadly most dont think about this,
chaircover:

When my husband and I got married he didn't have a car, Infact our first car was a £550 banger LOL. When we had our baby, we couldn't afford to buy a cot. Baby and I slept on the bed while hubby slept on one of my wrappers on the floor. I rememebr that My mum bought our first freezer grin

And although this is very personal, I am sharing this story so that someone somewhere who is probably at crossroads can seek encouragement from it and make a wise decision.

I married my husband because he was a good kind man of integrity and a hardworking man with prospects and of course I loved him. People said all sorts at the time but I didnt listen some even called him a gold digger. Today I am enjoying that decision. He is a husband, brother, father, friend all rolled into one.

Today he earns much much more than I earn, I only work part time (he told me to reduce my hours & to stop stressing myself) and I now run a business that I enjoy. He is still the dependable solid man that I married back then and he treats me like an equal rather than a gloried slave.

Yesterday afternoon we were our shopping for light fittings for our new house and I was looking at the prices before choosing, (Ijebu to the core that I am) but he noticed it and he just said to me "just pick what you really like . . . don't look at the prices, I am paying"
If I were to be a glorified slave he would go ahead and buy whatever he wants without it even crossing his mind to consult me.

Dont get me wrong, It has been an uphill struggle and there were times that we went without but eventually if you both muck in together and with the grace & favour of God, you will eventually get there.

What I have noticed is that it is here in the romance section that you see " I cant do this for any man" " I cant cook for my boyfriend" "he has to be rich" etc but the reality is that these same people pop up 3 years later in the family section with a new ID saying that their husbands don't treat them well.

If anyone here has a broke but good boyfriend/fiance, please do not throw him away but help him to grow. It will be a tough struggle but you will both reap the reward in the long run.
Wow! such Depth.
Romance / Re: Would You Marry Him - Even Without A Good Job by oluite(f): 12:11pm On Feb 16, 2011
@Chaircover i always love reading your post,so much depth which seems to be lacking these days.
@OP
Character is way important.I know a young lady that earns about 20k but her take home is about 70k because she is very hardworking and enterprising,she does all sort of little things to complement her salary.For me my emphasis has always been on character and i cant get why people cant get that.What happens if he is financially stable and gets married and he loses his job and struggles for some years and manages to get a job of 17k in the course of the marriage?Will she leave?I guess she didnt think about that?

There's been a lot of e-flirting going on especially as Valentine is in the air.I feel its a fun thing and no big deal. There is this other view that is just as bad as flirting when you are not on the internet. Guys what's your take?

I think you should try and talk to God it's only God that knows your right partner no body can help you choose and also remember that wedding is for one day with a lot of people but marriage is for life and marriage is the second hill fire on earth so kindly think wisely and never choose someone for his awesomeness or money ,  Go to any MFM and see the pastor their they will pray for you and tell you the right man for your life.

God Bless,

Samson.
Bros are you saying that its a pastor that will tell you who to spend the rest of your life with?!!?

Wait a Minute! Is the Poster not thesame Lady that was once alleged to have swindled a Nigerian business man whom she was supposed to be representing his interest in the US? Does anyone remember that particular thread where the victim opened a thread and gave us a smelly detail of how this poster had collected money 4rm him to ship some goods and never did and when further queried by the business man, she severed every means of communication with the man and went incommunicado even when her friends where here on NL defending and accusing her she never came out to defend the accusations and stuff. I remember her personal and family details being bandied all over NL by the victim. Whatever happened to that case? I hope she aint thesame person with this poster cos they both sound alike. Controversial and unneccessarily touchy, does anyone remember this lady am talking of? She has had a brush with theseeker, fl gators, amebo, busybody and co, I think na2day knows her too. Could it be thesame pweety person?

nuella2:

Pastor chris do not charge pple before praying for them. The healing sch is free for everyone. All the programmes organized by the man of God is free. Night of bliss in south africa at the soccer city is going to be free. If the intention was for money, then pple would have bought tickets to enter every christ embassy church that night. There were plenty other venues available for pple free. If someone cannot afford #1000 to enter the auditorium, he can simply stay at the next venue and hear the same message, at thesame time.

If is money pst chris can just charge every cancer case 5m, thats easier na grin grin grin
Christians were first called"Christians" because they behaved like Christ.I have read of crowd of people following Jesus in the bible infact miraculously food that was meant for one person will feed this crowd.I remember Jesus asking who touched me? to the crowd and the disciples asked him if he couldn't see the crowd.I have never read of people paying money as a means of crowd control.I am not concerned about the intention of the money.The question is what will Jesus do? Do you think Jesus would have resorted to N1000.00 to control crowd?

That people actually paid this money when they are other free centres and other churches shows we have a long way to go in Nigeria!!!
