breezy147: Ukraine is not a top team and therefore not a yardstick. They are not in the FIFA top 20. Even Senegal ranks above them.
That they beat Portugal proves nothing, just as it proves nothing that Madagascar beat us.
So like I said earlier, against top teams all we can do is defend deep for 90. minutes and hope on luck.
We are not there yet. So based on your point we are also ranked higher than Algeria so them beating us also proves nothing. The same Ukraine is 8 points above Portugal on the qualifying table and you are saying beating them proves nothing So according to you Senegal didn't defend against Brazil abi, they went all out and Dominated the game like Spain or Germany?? |

breezy147: We are saying the same thing.
Nigeria is not there yet. Our players are young and not yet consistent.
Senegal beat us before the Afcon. Algeria beat us at the Afcon.
2018 world cup is past. This is 2019. Algeria and Senegal topped Africa. Both teams have what it takes to challenge any top team in the world today.
As for us, all we can do for now is defend for 90 minutes and hope on luck.
We are not there yet. No disrespect o buh you started this well buh ended it in a Rather nonsensical manner We just defend and hope on luck?? Like we did against Ukraine ryt?? Let's also not forget this same Ukraine still defeated Portugal with CR7 on the pitch Or u expect us to play Brazil like they are our mate |

Eagles Squad For Benin, Lesotho Clash – Esiti, Otabor Out, Musa, Etebo In, QPR Eze In Line For First Eagles Call October 15, 2019073
Facebook Twitter
The list of players for the senior national team of Nigeria next round of games which is the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations on the 14th and 19th of November against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively is near completion according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team.
Nigeria will first play Benin Republic on the 14th before taking on Lesotho five days later and already coach Gernot Rohr has started fine tuning his team after the two friendly games against Ukraine and Brazil played within a space of a month.
Rohr has dcided to drop some players to make way for players who were missing from the game due to injury and those who didn’t impress during the games played or in training ahead of the games.
PAOK of Greece midfield powerhouse Anderson Esiti is favourite to miss out with Rohr settling for Ramon Azeez who impressed as a second half substitute against Brazil while Esiti failed to do same when he was introduced against Ukraine.
Viv Solomon-Otabor might have had his last invitation to the team for now with Samuel Kalu set to return for the AFCON 2020 Qualifiers as he is expected to be fit. Otabor didn’t do enough in training to be considered as a substitute in the game against Brazil.
Team captain Ahmed Musa will return to the squad if he is fit alongside Oghenekaro Etebo who missed the last game to be with his wife who was expected to give birth according to reports from players close to the Stoke City midfielder.
Sources close to Rohr also revealed that QPR midfielder Ebere Eze has been discussed extensively by the technical crew of the Super Eagles and he could get his chance in the upcoming games. His decision is however subject to international clearance which is not expected to be tedious as he only played for England in a friendly game. |

Eartquake1: Did he do anything of note in the match? He tried doing a 1-2 with Onuachu about twice after coming in buh the Bamboo stick wasn't intelligent enough And he even put in a cross that Onuachu couldn't still win, that guy is a waste of space |

safarigirl: We have TWO Right Backs. TWO.
Perhaps you forgot about them. Injury to Aina and a half fit Ebuehi is the only reason Awaziem had to fill in, and he did brilliantly well. No basis for complaint. Add shehu to that in case he has forgotten |

TheGoodJoe: We caused Brazil problems sometimes when we were on the counter. Generally, we were poor. We could not keep the ball, could not fight for it with intensity and relied a lot on individual performance to cause problems. We lacked team cohesion in our display too.
Tactically as a unit, we really had nothing to offer. I am not flattered by the result when we parked the bus. When it comes to team performance, we were non existent. So you expected us to match them toe to toe abi?? Pls remember we played Brazil and not Somalia |

komekn: My opinion in that defensive line up he was the weakest link.
Let's not be deceived this was a friendly for Brazil they were not going ALL OUT.
We got a draw but we were not the better team and we had a lot of luck. The Brazil wey me I see for 2nd half vex come play us ni o. They didn't go all out?? Really Did u see their reaction when they equalized or when the match ended?? Yh we were a bit lucky which happens in football anyways but I don't agree that Brazil did not come at us |

Argentina without Messi is a terrible team. The results show that Thank u o. They even did it without drawing or loosing The only nervy moment Maduka had was picking that back pass. Overall he did the Simple things well. Even Dosu Joseph credited his performance on Brilla Fm |

The Ndidi I saw in this game was descent. I mean we played against a Midfield of Arthur, Casemiro and Coutinho. Someone is even saying Mikel Agu and Azubuike will do a good job. Same Mikel Agu that looked out of sort against Zambia during our world cup qualifier. SMH
Overall the players did well bar iwobi who was below par and as for Onuachu.... Lemme not talk |

timay: When last did Belgium call Fellaini when they have a lot of Young and exciting midfielders, Like Praet, Youri Tielemans and co. playing in top form in Europe . Even Vermaleen Na just squad player because they never get defenders wey go replace am and more so, it's not easy to replace defenders just like that, defence line needs maturity and the young ones that might want to take their place will have to learn the ropes from senior defenders. The moment that the likes of Tielemans and Praet cane into limelight, Fellaini stopped getting call ups Fela retired |
