Just because you are a Nigerian, you don't wanna speak the truth/fact.
No Nigerian male players deserve to be nominated. They ain't performing to the very best. Ndidi had better stat in PL Last season than Gueye yet Gueye made CAF Eleven ahead of him. What will you say about that?? |

I would take Taiwo ahead of Aina in that LB
Odiah ahead of Awaziem - RB
Yobo ahead of any of Ekong and Ajayi- CB Yh Yobo is definitely better than all our current CB Buh I'll pick Aina over Odiah tho. There is no need comparing Taiwo to anyone cos none of our LB's since he retired are close to him not to talk of being better |

komekn: And you can make momentous multi faceted excuses for KC not perfoming.
I said Ismaila Sarr has not been good enough. I actually didn't give him much credence, I said he was unfit. If you back quite a few weeks ago l posted a YouTube video of him in training
Facts are facts not surprisingly he got injured and couldn't play. Hamstring and ankle injury. Is that what you call excuses.
In your condescending words " silly excuses "
See the screen shots below of the silly excuses self explanatory. Where did you ever see me make excuses for Nacho when he was under performing. You claim Sarr was injured when he was under performing. But when somebody told you that Niang has seen nearly twice the amount of Game time Maja has played you discarded it as been excuses And lastly I can't believe you typed this poo. You claim Sarr as a winger shouldn't score much goals like a striker but the same you as accused Chukwueze a lot of times about lacking end product and yet you claim you are not biased

komekn: Stats are indicative but still they can be absolute. The unit not measurement is simply number of goals scored. NUTTIN else.
There is no law that says because a player plays more games he will score more. It's probable but not neccesarily logical a proven theory.
You take your chances and opportunities score and claim the glory.
Bringing minutes into the equation is to confuse matters.
If you score your club will give you more games and minutes. If you don't then the reverse is the case it's simplistic. But you can make silly excuses for Ismailla Sarr for underperforming Mtcheew |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Olulong(m): 11:46am On Dec 12, 2019 |
komekn: First of all don't be presumption led without any substance.
Why are players top world class players because they are consistent on top of the game from season to season. Essentially without any drop in quality, that's extremely difficult.
That's why Ronaldo, Suarez, Mane, Messi, Kane Lukaku, Van Dyke, Ramos, etc are world class players. So if they get injured we don't assume they have lost form.
Go back and look at Keita's pedigree and consistency at such a young age.
Go back and look at Salif consistency over the last few seasons in the Bundesliga .He has not lost ability after 5 games, just not played because of injury that's a ludicrous an ill-judged deduction you are making about him. Why to score points, l have no idea.
Then look at the nonsensical proposition you make with zero substance. That l am biased you clearly jumped on the prejudiced band wagon without even thinking.
When looking at top goal scorer that doesn't include everyone who has scored a goal. My benchmark is usually the top 10 goal scorers.
There are about twenty places before you get to players with 5 goals where Maja is indeed there are over 11 players with a 5 goals tally. It's simply not outstanding. That's your opinion of bias, if you have courage you should apologise.
If anything I could be accused of bias against Senegal. Do you know that there are over 50 players showing allegiance to Senegal in the French league one alone. I doubt if there is any team in French league one without a Senegalese origin player. Because the lower you go in the goal charts the more Senegalese players you are likely to see.
I could have talked about 20 year old Boubacar Kamara the claimed next Thiago. That may likely play for Senegal wanted by a plethora of EPL club to show the strength in depth that Senegal have but l didn't.
Before I forget Ismaila Sarr is a winger and his goals tally is not expected to be on the same as a striker. Nonetheless, you didn't do your homework. If you did you would have known he was injured from Afcon. He has been struggling to get fit for the intensity and rigours of the EPL.
He has just recently played 3 games in the EPL and scored one goal as well as has had a big impact for Watford in just three games. But he is far from being IN-FORM certainly not from three games.
Finally, I digress somewhat, what I find shocking is there may be more Senegalese players in the EPL than Nigerian. That's simply not right considering our colonial past with England.
You and many others here don't understand the meaning as elementary as it is of biased. Stop giving excuses if Sarr was a Nigerian Player, you wouldn't not be giving this silly excuses. And when we are talking of form we are talking of the here and now in your own words. Salif Sane performance over the last 5 seasons is not what is been discussed now but his performance this season and that is what we mean by FORM. And finally stop changing the topic of discussion we are talking about Senegalese Players and not French Players of Senegalese origin because if that's the topic been discussed there are also hundreds of Nigerian origin players in the English Leagues |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Olulong(m): 1:54pm On Dec 11, 2019 |
komekn: The subject is Senegal national team in comparison too the Nigerian team.
The word in form is indicative of performance levels and essentially which players are better. I have used the top five league as the benchmark.
Keita Baldé do we have any winger close to him because better is not part of the equation.
Our best performing player Victor is on par with Habib. It would be unfair to compare him to Mane that's not in discussion.
Defensively can any of our defenders be compared to Koulibaly answer NO. Then can with objectivity conclusively say our defenders better than Salif at Schalke 04, his consistency tells the story. You may debate.
Midfield Gueye and Ndidi are to me on par it's a question of preference who you think is better.
You would notice there are two Senegalese players among the top goal scorer in the French league.
Ismaila Sarr is a winger who plays for Watford outstanding in the French league last season with 8 goals. Scored one goal in the EPL. Nonetheless, which of our wingers is clearly better. Open to debate by preference.
My view that on paper Senegal has more quality in depth than we do.If you want to add the multiple options they have just from the French league one alone it's probably and potentially about 50 active players at least who are cutting it.
However, winning a competitive game of football against Senegal it's not so simple, we could win albeit it unlikely.
Finally, who is the clown here look at the deductions you have made. Must you have to insult and be derogatory. You just listed names without even checking thier stats. The Keita Balde you claimed none of our wingers come close to has been outscored this season by Moses Simon and has the same number of goals has Chukwueze. Infact on current form Sarr wouldn't make Super Eagles squad. Fact!!! The Same Salif Sane you claim to be in better form than our defenders haven't played in the last 4 games for his club because he's injured. It's obvious you don't watch any other thing than English Leagues. Then your baised self claim to be objective yet you intentionally left out Josh Maja who is 2 goals behind Niang when you screenshoted Ligue one top scorers. |

komekn: What are the LIES ❓
I mentioned several players not just Ismaila to see how balanced some of you would be. But my expectations were too high it seems.
So why don't you talk about.
Mane, Koulibaly, Gueye, Habib, Kouyate and so many others.
Or the Everton players Niasse 30 games and 8 goals in the EPL. But who is far from first choice in the Senegalese team.
Picking out individual players who you consider weak. Ismaila Sarr is a winger that scored 8 goals in the French league last season. He has played on the wing for Watford and Striker in a 4-4-2.
But his main position is the wing.
You just want to argue for no reason beyond argument sake.
The core issue is very simple, " Senegal has far more quality players on paper than we do, very simple.
That doesn't mean we can not beat them just that it is unlikely. Everyone here has said Mane, Koulibaly and Gueye are good players and no one is arguing against that. And the truth is apart from this 4 Guys the rest are Farmers abeg. And the topic of discussion here is about FORM. Koulibaly and his Napoli side are struggling at the moment while Semi Ajayi and his club are very good at the moment. It doesn't mean Semi is anywhere as good as Koulibaly. I myself has praised Diallo here on this thread And on the far more quality i don't agree if Ismailla Sarr, Diagne and Keita Balde can be making thier team even with poorer stat than Players who struggle who make Super Eagles squad then I wonder where the talents are. You even mentioned Omar Niasse, He definitely wouldn't make Super Eagles squad either so what's your point?? |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Olulong(m): 9:12pm On Dec 10, 2019 |
komekn: Sometimes there are some argument that expose people complete lack of knowledge.
Koulibaly is on the way to becoming the most expensive defender in football history currently. He is arguably the best CB in the world.
And someone is saying l dont know anything about African football.
Essentially Senegal have far more players playing in the top 5 leagues of Europe than we do. They also have a never ending conveyor belt of talent from the French league one.
Our only striker making waves is Victor Osimhen in the top leagues.
Habib Diallo has scored same number of goals as Victor Osimhen. Somehow the person who is saying l dont know anything about African didn't even know his name.
We could talk about Mbiaye Diana or Ismaila Sarr.
Instead we are getting orgasmic and euphoric about our striker who has scored two goals KC this season, is it good enough probably yes because we lack quality strikers. But then again we simply don't have many if any quality striker apart from Victor.
The reality Anybody with KC stats will not even smell the Senegalese team.
They simply have far more options and strengthen in depth.
Consider Moussa Wagué has not played enough games but wait for it he plays for Barcelona.
Finally, an indictment on this divisory attitude of calling players FB and implied they are less Nigerian or loyal to the SE cause.
Look at how many of the Senegalese team were born in France and not you but many lacking knowledge will be suprised. Lies as usual Ismailla Sarr has one goal this season and Kelechi has two. So Kelechi as been better this season. Also Okereke has more goals than Mbaye Diagne who doesn't start for Club Brugge most of the time. Just stick to the Jam Body football you claim to know about |

Joebie: form is not permanent. That's why continuous competition is necessary. Don't be surprised that even some of these youthful players will have a deep in form at some point. What do you do then? Still shut out other players who are showing great form at their club on the ground that we have a young team? Next year is 2020, although we hope that our players stay excellent and consistent throughout the year, it rarely happens in football. So let's keep the sentiments aside, when any of our players start to struggle or become consistent bench warmers they have to be shown the way out until they can fight their way back in the team. That is how excellence is achieved. Word!!! |

I still think he's our best winger based on his End Product. He should still be able to make it at Monaco just that the coach prefers a 4-4-2. Maybe he can go on loan and get a good run of games just to restore his confidence |
