Celebrities / Re: Dbanj Finally Speaks On Fuel Subsidy by oluwagbami(m): 8:38am On Jan 11, 2012
@Sisi kill, you got the point there. as it has been explained there are advantages in the fuel subsidy removal though in the long term. and it's because of the lack of trust in the FG that made the general populace go haywire after removing the subsidy regime. i am of the opinion that if the fuel subsidy removal is going to be effected then some important infrastructures MUST be put in place. (1) adequate number of refineries that will cater for local production thereby stopping all export/ import of refined petroleum products. (2) make the political offices less attractive by reducing their remunerations and benefits. (3) fight corruption headlong by involving the general populace in the anti-corruption war. (4) make transparency the order of the day in both the civil and private establishments. but first, let there be prompt reversal to the old price of N65/litre of petrol. the we can move to the round table.

Romance / Re: -- by oluwagbami(m): 4:55pm On Nov 27, 2011
Recovering from a heartbreak isn't a time conscious action it actually depends on your position in the relationship before the breakup. If you are the one that cared less, you may have a little to lose. but if you are the one that cared the most, then you must be ready to bear the brunt of committing and staking so much into the relationship. I've had my heart broken, smashed, crushed, grenaded and bombed and now it's been hardened against any breakage.

Romance / Re: Is It Ok To Marry Your Brother's/sister's Ex? by oluwagbami(m): 6:14pm On Jun 24, 2011
it isn't at all in the western context. Like what happened to me of recent, two very close friends of mine have dating for some time. The guy now traveled leaving the pretty babe behind. But soon than expected the lady starts getting all airs for me.though I tried all I could to discourage her but she wouldn't budge. My mother sensed what's going on and took matters into her own hands. Any Yoruba son will understand what I'm saying about our protective mothers. So dating or marrying your brothers or sisters ex or your close friends ex is morally wrong in the Yoruba context.

TV/Movies / Re: Sesame Street Makes Its Debut On Nta by oluwagbami(m): 8:29am On May 12, 2011
It's a worthwhile venture because i could remember in those days while  growing up as a kid i couldn't do without watching cartoon series like Voltron, the fraggle rock, The fantastic four, The superted et al. but the best of them all is sesame street because of it's educative, entertaining and interesting episodes. You sure can't do without characters like big bird, kenneth the frog, the cookie monster, ernie and bud. if the Nigerian adaptation is good then our kids are in for the good television times that we enjoyed in the past.
Politics / How To Make Our Voices Heard And Things To Work Out Fine In This Country by oluwagbami(m): 12:49pm On May 05, 2011
Hello fellow nairalanders, over the years i have watched the way issues are been treated online (nairaland). i am not surprised because this country is so blessed with earth-shaking, intelligent youths. but my problem is that we have not been able to channel this positive power in the right direction. there are some issues we can discuss here and get it straight up to where the high and mighty men and women are. We recently had our elections and some issues that ought to have been settled 6months to the elections are the very ones that we were grappling with 2weeks to the elections. please lets create a forum where we can discuss positive and life changing topics that will both the citizens and the nation in general. Thank you all and GOD bless you all.
Politics / Re: I Slept In The Bush For 3 Days To Stay Alive – Female Corps Member by oluwagbami(m): 9:25pm On May 01, 2011
This is a matter that requires great wisdom and it must be handled with utmost care. The West is angry likewise the East feels cheated. though we have the uninhibited right to speak out but we should be wary of inflamatory statements that  could escalate the already heated atmosphere. please gentlemen and ladies let us handle all issues of national security with great care. Thank you all and GOD bless.
Politics / Re: Pastor Okotie Blasts Jonathan Over Soccer Ban Reversal by oluwagbami(m): 6:09am On Jul 09, 2010
The way i see the decision of the federal Government concerning the banning of all our teams from international competitions is that it is a BOLD and CALCULATED attempt to displace the ineffective football administrators in the NFF and to usher in a more result oriented and effective team of seasoned administrators made up of ex-footballers et al. It is a case of knowing that FIFA will come up with the sanctions but at least lets get those non performing people out and bring in fresh and result oriented brains that can really move NIGERIAN football to the next level. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

Romance / Re: Most Igbo Girls Marry Late Why? by oluwagbami(m): 3:49pm On Dec 27, 2009
Actually, its a personal thing. if you want to marry an expensive igbo girl you have to be loaded, very loaded i mean. but if you prefer an average igbo girl, you as well know what to have in order to achieve your aim. but if you prefer the low cadre igbo girls, you know what to have in your account. Though, there is nothing like late marrying igbo girls; really they are very ambitious, calculative, confident, responsible, matured in approaching issues, blunt and frank, and above all sincere and faithful. all respect to my lovely NDIFREAKIE,( I love you more than words could either express or explain)
