HealthParents' Health: Ensuring They Are Drug Compliant by OluwakemiRN(op):
Due to old age or other factors, I believe some of our aged parents are on one medication or the other. I also know that most of us don't live anywhere close to our parents' destinations. More reason why we need to ensure they are compliant with their medications to prevent complications associated with non-compliance with medications.

It's good you make provision for their medications in due time, but it's best you ensure those medications are taken as at when due.

Let them know the danger of stopping some of those drugs abruptly, for instance, those on anti-hypertensive medications, it's dangerous to just stop it anyhow as this complicates the condition and bring about irreversible damage.

I believe many people can relate with this post.

How else do you ensure your parents are compliant with their medications? Feel free to share..

Health is wealth!
Ensure drug compliance!

EducationApplication For Transcript In Nigeria Is Frustrating, True Or False? by OluwakemiRN(op): 7:57pm On Feb 05, 2022
I don't think processing of transcript should take forever like it appeared to be in Nigerian Universities. Imagine someone submitting application for transcript to meet up with an appointment only to be delayed till the appointment closed. Some don't even still get it after the appointment closes.
This is becoming frustrating and I think it should be corrected.

Apart from the stress of applying and waiting , here comes the ridiculous fee attached to it.And to think you would be asked to pay such amount each time you need the transcript is annoying.

Someone just told me her School charges 30k for transcript processing.
Another one said 18k

Let me hear from y'all, what is the process like in your schools and the fee attached.

Now UNILAG just launched 24hr transcript processing platform, I hope it would be for the good of the school and students ooo.

Waiting to hear from those who can relate with the post.

Thanks

HealthParent's Health Need To Be Given Due Attention! by OluwakemiRN(op): 5:24pm On Feb 05, 2022
How many of us are concerned about our parents' health such that we make out time to ensure they get the best of care?

It's not about the money you sent to them really , it's about your sincere heart to ensure they live in good health.

Some parents have health challenges like hypertension, arthritis, or diabetes and it's difficult coping with it all alone.

If your parents are hypertensive or Diabetics,
Kindly ensure you get them a Sphgmomanometer (blood pressure monitor) or Glucometer (Blood glucose monitor) , with these they can always check their Blood pressure and blood glucose at home to know when it's going beyond normal. This also allows them to seek for help promptly.

These self monitoring devices are not that expensive and they have been helping to prevent health emergencies.

Don't just read, try and do the needful.

Health is wealth!

Our parents deserve to live in good health.

Christianity EtcI Love To Pray But Find It Hard To Pray by OluwakemiRN(op): 12:51am On Feb 04, 2022
Most times we struggle to pray because we try to pray with our flesh and with our strength forgetting what the scripture says that: we do not know how to pray but the spirit helps us with groaning that can't be uttered.

Perhaps you have been struggling to pray and it's becoming frustrating, all you need is to ask for the holyspirit to help you out.

Also, you may need people of like minds to always take out time to pray together.

2022 is still fresh, you can still have the kind of prayer life you so desired.

If you are a Christian and you are interested in online prayer platform, indicate your interest below.

It's all for the purpose of building your prayer life .
HealthDear Husbands, Be Helpful To Your Pregnant Wives. by OluwakemiRN(op):
I expect that men would take it as a normal thing to always give helping hands to their pregnant wives but unfortunately that is not the case. Some men still needs to be reminded of how important it's to relieve their pregnant wives of some necessary house chores and stress.
Let it be worthy of note that being pregnant itself is a lot of work and stress that the woman needs to deal with directly or indirectly. So, why then should me still leave the house chores and other duties to her alone?

I can't imagine a heavily pregnant woman sitting down to wash heap of clothes, cleaning and cooking at the same time.

I want to plead with men to please, try and do things differently when their wives are pregnant. If you are too big or busy to help her, please, get someone that does it at a price. It's better than doing nothing.

Have you ever found yourself in this situation before?

How did you handle it?
Pregnant women reading this, do you cope well doing all these chores or you really need help?

HealthI Have Headache, I Need Rest Not Paracetamol by OluwakemiRN(op): 12:26pm On Feb 02, 2022
It baffles me when at the slightest headache from stressful activities people jump to taking paracetamol like they are taking candy.
The fact is that not all headache are answerable to paracetamol, sometimes, all you need to be relieved is just a good rest. Yes, that is all .
Unfortunately, many today don't see reasons for rest which is a vital key to good health.

I advise y'all normalize giving your body adequate rest after undergoing too much stress as this allows your body to recover better.

Your body is not firewood, take time to relax and rest.

All work without rest makes you breakdown beyond repair.

Who else can relate with this?

Have you ever thought all you need is rest and nothing more?

@caesymore,
I can only plead with you to please let her go in peace..

Start by asking her what would be her reaction if your GENOTYPE turned out to be AS.

But before then, try and know why She had to do such thing to your brother and still came to you.

You never can tell, she might be up to something unknown to you.
HealthGenotype Check: A Must For All by OluwakemiRN(op): 4:08pm On Jan 31, 2022
Why have you not gone for a genotype test? Yes, you.
It's sad to know that even with the awareness about genotype and the implication of its incompatibility, some people still go ahead with their initial plans.

I really don't have much to say about this today.

Just this
Dare to know your genotype now before that love journey begins or gets deeper.

Or why exactly are you afraid of knowing your genotype?

Fear of losing who you love or
Financial constraint??

Feel free to share

Genotype test is about #2500 in some hospitals in Lagos

Christianity EtcDancing In Church: How Easy Is It? by OluwakemiRN(op): 12:12pm On Jan 30, 2022
I remembered while growing up how difficult it was to dance while in church.I really wanted to dance the way others were dancing but just couldn't move my body to dance with ease. The Spirit was indeed willing but the flesh was weak. Oh! How I struggled to dance to those wonderful songs.

What could be responsible for this reluctancy ? I recently got to know it was because there was a lot of burden on my mind that I had not cast unto God. The moment I started casting all to God, I began to experience burden free life and a heart full of joy with which I could rejoice and dance without any hesitation.

I have finally overcome !
Now I dance with ease in God's presence.

Do you find it difficult to dance to the glory of God while in church?

Do you feel so burdened that it's difficult to release yourself while praise and worship is on?

You can't continue like this in 2022

Remember in the presence of God there is fullness of Joy.You can't afford to keep missing this unending Joy each time you appear before God.

All you need to do is to cast all your burden into God and watch Him sort things out for you.

The next time you appear before God, dance like someone whose burden is on God.

Feel free to share your experience if you had a similar one.

Thanks

It seems almost easy working online but one thing I am yet to fully understand is how business thrives in the absence of good network.

Few days ago, I was to do somethings online but could not successfully get it done because of poor Network.
Then it came to my mind that, what if this is what I needed to do to do to put food on my table. It means, my daily meal will the be determined by availability of a good network.

I don't know if anyone has ever experienced this oo

Kind share your experience

HealthRe: Which Is More Important? Naming Ceremony Or Baby's Health by OluwakemiRN(op): 11:21am On Jan 26, 2022
@israeldan1, what was her reason for choosing child dedication over your baby's health?
Could it be that she came from a family where party comes first or her family were putting pressure on her?
HealthWhich Is More Important? Naming Ceremony Or Baby's Health by OluwakemiRN(op): 10:52am On Jan 26, 2022
Naming Ceremony vs Baby's Health

I have heard and seen Mothers choose naming ceremony over their baby's health.

Why do you think it's so?

If after delivery your baby needs to be admitted for further treatment in the hospital why don't you accept admission and wait till the baby is discharged before you start planning for naming ceremony/party?

What will happen if you don't do party?

I really need to know

Perhaps there are people here who have had to take their sick babies away from the hospital just to meet up with the party planned for their naming ceremony.
HealthSoda: Why You Need To Stop Taking It by OluwakemiRN(op): 9:14am On Jan 26, 2022
If you are willing to take charge of your health in 2022,this post is for you. Here are some of the reasons why soda intake should be stopped:

It promotes unecessary weight gain.
Note that soda is high in calories and it's never a substitute for food when you are hungry as it doesn't curb hunger.
I believe you can relate with this
Imagine those times you were famished and had to take one or more bottles of Soda, was your hunger actually curbed that you needed not to take food again?
Also, imagine those who take a bottle of soda after consuming their normal food.

It's associated with chronic disease conditions like..Heart Disease, type 2 Diabetes and cancer.
It causes teeth erosion.
It may contribute to liver disorders because of high fructose which can o my be metabolised by the liver. So, excessive intake of soda with high fructose overloads the liver thereby increasing risk of liver disorders.

Don't joke with your health this year, be determined to live and stay healthy by doing the needful.

Start drinking right!
Do have a soda free day and water full day.

No Soda Challenge is still on and participants are giving good feedbacks already.
