Does anyone know howlong it takes to get a pickup mail for passport after a decision has been transferred to VAC. Though it is yet to show received by VAC. Biometrics was done on the 13th of December.

My mum has about N6m in her bank account which is the monthly allowance we all send to her, she doesn’t really use it like that cus she lives in my brother’s house & he takes care of all her monthly expense. So can we reapply & make her the sponsor of her trip?
If we still have to use my brother as the sponsor, can we just use his personal account in Nigeria where he received salary from his company? Then we can mention that he is a student & relies on the salary from his Naija company to survive in UK.
I am just looking for a way to make the visa work without circumventing the procedures.
Pls I need suggestions.

I will advice your brothers wife, resumes work so she can sponsor her or, you guys will gradually build her account monthly. Also your bro and the wife can jointly sponsor her..

I found this group very helpful after my MIL's visa was refused in January. She reapplied in March and it was granted in April. I have sent her timeline earlier.
I will be explaining in details how we addressed the reason for the refusal.
One of the major reasons she was denied was because of unknown large deposits into her account, no ties back home, and the amount of money she intends spending for the trip was morethan half of what she earns.
In the new application, I and my husband decided to sponsor the visa though we still submitted her bank statement. We explained every fund that was deposited into her account.
We also explained the nature of her business.
She is a trader. Her business isn't registered. We also explained that business transactions was done in cash. We used pictures of her at the shop as evidence. We also attached the shop lease receipt as evidence of the fact that she has something doing. For ties back home, we sent pictures of she and her other children, grandchildren, mother and a little boy that leaves with her as evidence.
We went further to explain that the boy that lives with her will temporarily live with her daughter pending when she returns.
We estimated the cost of the trip, and also listed places she would be visiting during her stay.
Thank you to every one that helped, I am really grateful.

Please what kind of questions do they ask at the port of entry to the UK.
My mum is coming, I would like to know the possible questions they might ask her. In her application we stated she will be staying 1 month. But she intend spending longer time here

Sent 3 paid mails (1st was paid for, others were just reply to the first mails sent, which was free)
Collection mail 11th May
Picked up 12th May.

I doubt. From experience as long as the decision mail did not come with a refusal letter, you will most likely get the visa.

I sent a paid email day before yesterday nd I got decision has been made today,pls how long will I have to wait to get my passport back. Biometric was done on March 15th

Nobody knows how long it would take.... It could be a day or 2 it could be few weeks..... So just keep tracking it.

I remember last year when TLS was always crowded, a woman came late.... She was bluntly refused entrance despite her pleading, she was asked to go and reschedule.

I have already booked for biometric appointment this month. I didn't upload any document like account statement etc on my portal. Please what should I do? Should I print my account statement and go to biometric center with it?
During biometric appointment booking, I paid for assisted service 11,700 and return courier 8000, total N19700.

All your documents, should be printed in A4 paper, then u take it to biometrics where u will be assisted to upload it.
Not just your bank statement, but every other supporting documents you've got

A quick question please, for someone whose visa is been sponsored, can the part where the amount of money the person intends spending in the UK personally be written as zero since the person is being sponsored financially or should we just write something down?

Good morning all, my mum was refused visa earlier. So we are trying to reapply.
Her formal application I stated she earns 2.5m per year, but it was a mistake. Can I change this amount to 1.5m? Will it cause queries.
Also they queried the large sums sent into her account.... Can I say its a gift deed for the journey to the UK? I planned sponsoring this 2nd application unlike the first one. We actually need to explain what the large sum of money sent into her account is for.
One 1m was sent to her account 2 consecutive times.

Please I really need help as regards my mum's visa refusal.... I am planning to reapply by march but this time around I will be sponsoring her. I will use my UK statement of account. I hope it wouldn't cause an uproar? She can't sponsor herself again because we can't prove that the funds in her account actually belongs to her. She is just a trader, although with put business in her refused application. Is there anything I should be worried of? I booked an appointment for 3rd Jan. I received a call from TLS ikeja on 31st not to attend as they will be closed due to the public holiday. They also suggested I book for another date, knowing fully well that getting a date is very difficult. It's for a visitors visa. I don't know what to do. I plan going there on 4th and trying walk in as it's their fault for making 3rd available on their site. There is no problem. As long as they give you a certificate proving you are negative.

Declare the fact that you are married, it doesn't stop them from giving you visa.

Please I need your help. I arrived UK October this year with a tier 4 visa(post graduate program ) , I will be travelling to Nigeria this Christmas break for my wedding.
I want to know if my husband can apply immediately to join me.
