Crime / [photo] Two Choristers Arrested For Cutting Neighbour’s Face With Razor Blade by omaigala(m): 11:43pm On Mar 28, 2013
Two women – Temitope Abigail and Temitope Remi – have been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ebute Meta on a three count of conspiracy, assault and grievous harm.
Abigail (26) and Remi (28), both choristers at a Cherubim and Seraphim church at Progressive Road, Ebute Meta, were said to have assaulted Hannah Okurabe (18) with razor blades at Abule Nla junction, a few metres away from the church.

The incident which happened on March 17, 2013 was said to be the result of an earlier fight over the church’s choirmaster, Joseph Unuigbe. A father of two, Unuigbe is married to Folashade, who is also a member of the same church.

The charge sheet reads:

That you Temitope Abigail and Temitope Remi at about 18.30 hours at Abule Nla junction, Apapa Road, Ebute Meta West, Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit assault and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 409 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

That you, Temitope Abigail and Temitope Remi in the aforementioned magisterial district did unlawfully use a razor blade to cut one Okurabe Hannah on her cheek, eyelid, left ear and back of her neck which caused her grievous harm and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 243 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges”. Their counsel, identified simply as Mr. Chukwudi, made a bail application.

The prosecutor, Mr. Ishola Samuel, objected to the bail application, saying that the complainant was presently admitted to the Lagos Island General Hospital.

The Magistrate, Mrs. M. O. Tanimola, ruled that the charge was a bailable offence.

She said:

Bail is hereby granted the two defendants in the sum of N200,000 each in like sum. Defendants are to produce two responsible sureties who are gainfully employed and with evidence of tax payments to the state government in the last three years.

“The sureties must be relatives of the defendants and their addresses are to be verified. Case is adjourned to the April 17 2013 for mention.”

The suspects are said to be currently remanded at the Kirikiri Minimum Prison.

Celebrities / I’ve Slept With More Than 1,000 Women, Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner by omaigala(m): 11:33pm On Mar 28, 2013
Hugh Hefner, the ultimate Playboy, has claimed to have slept with more than 1,000 women. But the 86-year-old insisted he had never cheated during his three marriages.

Asked by Esquire magazine how many girls he’d had sex with, he said: “How could I possibly know? Over a thousand, I’m sure. There were chunks of my life when I was married, and when I was married I never cheated. But I made up for it when I wasn’t married. You have to keep your hand in."

Hefner wed for a third time last year to British model Crystal Harris, 26. He had been married to his first wife Mildred Williams in 1949.

They had two children together, Christie and David, but the two went their separate ways in 1959.

He got hitched for the second time in 1989 to Playmate of the Year Kimberley Conrad but this didn’t last either and they separated in 1998, before getting divorced in 2010.

With the precarious state of Niaja, why aren't there emergency lines in each state yet? Why are there no police post at strategic locations to ease reporting and to help the
interception of criminals? Why are there no security cameras in and around every nooks and crannies of each states of the federation yet? Why are police reports and registers still on papers and done manually? Why is there no data base that contains the finger prints and bio-datas of Nigerians? *yawns*

Sports / Talented Young Nigerian Defender Gets Arsenal Trial And May Cost £1 Million by omaigala(m): 3:41pm On Mar 24, 2013
22-year old Godfrey Oboabona will not be totally unheard of at Arsenal. The centre back plays for Sunshine Stars FC and the Nigerian national team. Heplayed the full 90 minutes in direct opposition to the Arsenal striker Gervinho as the Ivory Coast were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations at the quarter-final stage. After knocking out the tournament favourites, Nigeria went on to lift the trophy for the third time, and Oboabona’s impressivedisplays may have earned him a dream move.
According to the Sun, Arsene Wenger will take a goodlook at him after giving him a trial with the club. The defender has made himself one of the first names onthe Nigeria team sheet, already winning 18 caps at such a young age, and would only cost around £1 million. If we do sign him, he will join the list of players who are also fans of the club like Carl Jenkinson and Jack Wilshere.
Oboabona has declared, “Arsenal are my favourite club from childhood. It is the club I want to play for.”
Hopefully he can impress Wenger and prove to be a real bargain, because they are hard to come by these days.

Only God (Jehova) knows which is true or false, what I've resolved to do now; is read the holy bible, interpret it as led. And most importantly, look for opportunities to help anybody, cos they are God's treasures, he values them more than any treasure on earth. If you can't help them, don't hurt them.

He wanted to bribe the north by including Yar'adua, the southwest by the inclusion of Diya, but Lo and behold, it back fired. I wonder how daft his advisers are, this goes to show how stack their level of illiteracy is. The level of intelligence in Nigeria is kinda sophisticated now it's still going up @ a supersonic pace. It will be very ok if he did away with the ill-fitted advisers & employ the services of real and better ones. However, this singular act of pardoning someone who shamelessly disguised as a lady & escaped to Nigeria without thinking about his dignity & that of the country, is a deceptive act & that has discredited him as someone who is not trust-worthy, a staggering nation, such as Nigeria can't be entrusted into his care. Well, I wouldn't blame the imperialist (USA) if they cut their aid.
