Did the arm implant too for a year,the only thing I loved about it was the no period thing or if it will even show,na spotting which will last for just a day but men,I increased oh so had to take it out and switch to pills. For the pills,one has to take at a particular time. For me my alarm was set at 6pm,that was the time I choose for the pills and it did well for me.

But why take daily pills? It doesn't sound good to me abi it is only on days of intercourse?

Finally I have the privilege to share my birth story.

For the privilege of testimony and thanksgiving, Quick throwback to 2018.

So I got married to DH in 2018 and before our white wedding, I experienced my first miscarriage. Like joke, I suffered recurrent first trimester miscarriages three different times, of course, Doctors cannot explain why this happens. Forward to Oct 2019, I conceived even when I was not planning. How did it end? I had IUFD at 9 months - 7th July, 2020 - accompanied with bleeding due to placenta abruptio. I was sectioned to deliver my beautiful baby girl but, then she was already lifeless. I was transfused 6 pints of blood to be alive today. Fast forward to 2021. I planned to take in, yes it was not accidental but, I was worried about the outcome. Really exhausted from miscarriages and disappointments. I remember saying that prayer, "God, if you won't grant me this honor, do not take me half way". If you have experienced evacuation as a woman, your prayers will almost be never to conceive than to miscarry along the way.

So the journey started in May, 2021. I prayed intentionally and I closely questioned every impossibility. My Dr. adviced me to do cyclogest treatment up to 20 weeks. But I am both stubborn physically and spiritually. So, I thought to myself, I did all the bed rest and progesterone treatment yet, I lost my baby to IUFD. Hubby was ready to embark on this journey at all cost but, I told him I was not doing any medical treatment except bed rest. He bought cyclogest and I personally called the pharmacy to return it and exchange it for prenatal vitamins. I encourage DH to meet me at the level of my faith. We prayed the prayers, had the bad dreams of course but we were determined to win this time.

Please, let me not be sounding like it was my capacity, No. God had me all the way because at the time I took in, I needed bed rest but, I am also a working class mum. I thought it through, then a program came up in my office that needed 2 months virtual participation, I was successfully selected to participate. Guys, see bed rest on a platter. LOL!
So, just before I finished the program, I was past my first trimester. Apart from the usual symptoms, I had no cause for alarm. Then I resumed work in my second trimester and everything continued to move well with lil anxiety here and there though.

Fast forward to this year, 2022. EDD was 14, Feb, 2022 - val things. I was excited, all of a sudden, my consultant started suggesting CS because of my medical history. I really struggled with this option. Not because CS was a big deal but because I always wanted to have the pleasure of jagina delivery too - all round experience - and a second time CS would mean a risk for jajina trial in the future.

Well, story cut short. I was told that 37 weeks it would be for me. I went home and prepared my mind. A week to my 37 weeks, consultant booked me for 29th Jan, 2022 - that is 38 weeks. I did not object. More time for me. I went home happily. A week to my 38 weeks, I visited and they insisted on admitting me and carrying out surgery the next day. Ah!!! Ogbeni is that how this butchering is easy for you people to mutter? Do you know how I have been adjusting psychologically? I refused o. Before they could gather in accordance to convince me, I packed my bag and ran home o without looking back. I called my mum and told her to start preparing for 29th is the date.

Finally, on 28th, I was supposed to check into the hospital against 29th but my spirit was cold. I simply stayed back and slept on my bed. Lol!!!
DH was just like, this my wife, please let us get this thing over with na. I said hubby, everything will be fine. That morning, we got to the hospital very early. We went to check in with the nurses that started giving attitudes as to why I did not come last night. I just said, I could not come but I have come now. After much drama, I asked them, do you want to cancel my booking and send me home? Lol!!!

Las las, they prepared my bed and dressed me up. Reality gradually started closing in on me. I started sleeping o. When they took me to the theater, I continued sleeping. Dr. came and tapped me saying, "I like the way you are just relaxed about this process. The only thing remaining in your disposition now is beer and fish". I laughed out loud and said, "Dr. CS it is and nothing else. So, let me be sleeping until we are ready".

Finally, in the order of Sarah, my laughter has come. My cute princess was birthed on the 29th of Jan, 2022. Everyone who heard me has been laughing with me.

-the baby that will stay will stay.
-know what your problem is and handle it. Mine was first trimester miscarriages.
-mums we are and children must come. So, remain +ve against all odds

Thanks.. what if the lady doesn't know about the app and later got pregnant ( confirmed after a missed period) How will she calculate her EDD?

Good morning ma, she should calculate using the first day of her last period.. For example, if she discovered she has missed her period for this month and her January period started January 7th, she will start calculating from that day. She can now download a pregnancy app and input the "" January 7"" as the LMP(Last menstrual period).
If she doesn't know the date she started her last menses, an early scan done at 8weeks will be precise and around her EDD

Pls Is it normal to feel cramp 1 or 2 days after ovulation? I hv been feeling this way since 5months ago,,slight cramp on my pelvic, it does last a day or two is also not steady I don’t like it since I’m ttc it keeps reminding me of my next period, does anyone feel same?

Are you sure the cramp is not an indication of your ovulation period?

What of a lady that her period date do change every month? How many days cycle is that?

I'll suggest she studies the period monthly using the app to know the varying cycle length for like 3 months then download two other apps and set them using the different cycle length, all the apps will have different ovulation and fertility days, she should work with them in having sex. I don't know if this is clear but I tried it after an evacuation when my period length wasn't stable. But she must be sure she ovulates

The Dr. said it is not too high that we should be doing early morning sun therapy but if after her 3 weeks and she is still showing high, we will have to do phototherapy in the hospital.

I am doing exclusive for her and poops each time she sucks but the texture of the poop doesn't seem ok to me. Always watery

God bless you... Coconut water has been saving babies from colic... As in Ehhh... Once you give the baby dat water... The will not cry for colic or disturb your night... It's you that will be waking your baby up in the night to breastfeed.

Whether or not you give her she will outgrow them before 3 mths, Its called Colic and common in children. It is gas swallowed during breastfeeding .

How to help.
1.After every feed gently massage the back from down to up to let the gas escape.

2.lie her down facing you and gently move her legs as if she is riding a bicycle. She would fart
3.Dont make a habit of giving "suggested" drugs to your infant. All she needs now is warmth, food and enough rest. If you are concerned pls take her to the hospital.

Growing gradually. Jaundice has been taking us to and fro the hospital though. 3 punches so far for baby blood sample collection and it hurts to see her cry each time.

First time at 72hes was 9.5 and at 1wk it increase to 12, with all the morning sunning.
A retest today gave a drop to 9.3

Can we just have the honor or resting. Let me know my wahala is only colic

Sorry for all the stress ma, the hospital is supposed to place her on light therapy. Why are they not doing that.. Also keep breastfeeding her so that as she poops the bilirubin will be clearing out. It us well with you ma

This reminds me of one morning I was wearing Jean and top and a sandal, was very energetic and walking so fast, as I pass by a shop in our street and greeted the woman she ran out of her shop and said Iya ibeji e ti bimo ni, I had to turn back so she can see the belle, she said the way I was walking was very fast I told her we are still in the morning and energy is still fresh, by the time I was coming in the evening I was dragging myself she was just laughing at me

Cute bump, greeting to LO, tell her to kick you well for me

ROTFL, the way the energy levels changes ehn. Some days sef, the mouth will be long

Not all the general hospital in Delta State, infact some general hospital in that state need to be closed down especially that otor- udu general hospital, in udu local government.

You just need to pray that u don't have emergency at night otherwise the outcome won't go well, they don't have nepa light even their generator is not functional.

I lost my baby boy there early this year when my wife was delivering,I just thank God that my wife didn't follow, the story would have be horrible, I wanted to take the matter to court but my friend said I should forget about it.

Water is very good at this stage oo, you must drink well and ensure you ain't dehydrated at any time.

Oh mama thanks immensely for checking on me. I'm fine o at least better than I was. Mum in law insisted I lie down and do nothing but to eat and sleep. She journeyed down to ensure I obeyed. She even did the cooking herself as hubby wasn't around. As I couldn't get to the hospital that day because it was a bit far from my residence and secondly it was weekend. I wasn't sure if I would see the doctor. So I jejely obeyed MIL and she advised I used ice water/cold water to massage my tummy/lower abdomen which I did. The bleeding has stopped, just a tiny drop I saw yesterday on tissue when I wiped. I'm trying my best to rest. Even though work isn't letting me.
But generally I feel better I was last week. Thanks so much ma for asking. I feel loved
