Got married in 2011, waited, waited and waited for pregnancy to come, months ran into years pregnancy wasn't forthcoming.

I and DH finally decided to do IVF, first attempt failed, second failed as well. To God be the Glory the third attempt was successful. Did PT Jan 1 and got a positive results, was super excited n prayed for a smooth journey

First trimester was smooth, aside weakness and tiredness. No vomiting, no nausea

Second trimester was something else, had dehydration headache, took malaria drugs thrice, vomiting n nausea was on n off, took drips, could hardly sleep at night, was given diazepam injection to make me fall asleep, as God could have it we progress to next stage

Third trimester was abit smooth, felt fetal movements more alongside with kicks,could barely walk, heaviness was on another level, also had to treat malaria twice oooo coupled with exams I wrote, which I think led to preterm contractions
At 32weeks started having preterm contractions and difficulty in breathing, vomitted as well and appetite was zero...I was admitted,vaginal examination done and cervical effacement has taken place, God is so faithful pregnancy was carried till 34weeks, despite placed on drugs n complete bedrest contractions still persist

Emergency CS was carried out on Wednesday morning 28/7/2021 to a live delivery of a baby girl (weighed 2.1kg) n baby boy( weighed 2kg)
They are currently in SCBU and by God's grace are doing great and responding to treatment.

All Glory belongs to God, just can't thank him enough for changing my name to mama ibeji, after 10years God Almighty wiped my tears and wore me a gown of joy, happiness.

I wish my team(August mothers) and others mothers a safe delivery, there shall be no loss, you all shall carry to term in Jesus name.

Mamas abeg I don't know what's happening to me o Today is day 33 of cycle,which is unusual by the way ,spotted brown little yesterday,Did Urine PT Negative, Nothing showed again today except few stains when I wipe (brown).Did Blood PT today Negative.
This TTC don tire me soooooo.Why Pikin hard born like this? why is my own different gan? I am getting tired and frustrated .Spent so much this last cycle yet this again. I feel so sad especially for my husband cos he will never want me to be sad,yet I know he was really hopeful this cycle.He wouldn't talk about it but I know he prays silently that I won't see this period this month.God just look at this man's sacrifices and make both of us happy.ConsIder my husband
What I noticed is this on and off itching since the miscarriage I had.God look at my side and show me mercy now .Even if I have sinned, forgive me .Are My sins that much? O su mi oooo.I can't deal with this anymore.

It is well with you ma, God will surely do it. What the update now, have you tested again.
As for the itching, hope its gone? God will surely do it

Yes o she is a girl, I was actually hoping for a boy because I have two girls already so I wanted it to be a surprise to me thereby asking them not to disclose the sex during scan. But all the same am super happy and grateful to God Almighty, for some people are actually having sleepless nights, spending money, moving from place to place looking for a child but I did non of that and God blessed me

Thanks ma I truly appreciate your kind response.
I have given her all the rest she want I do the laundry and most house chores. But when i am not around my wife will go behind and start doing the works saying she cant sit idle. I something scold her with empathy for doing it. But you know typical wife like to worry themselves over house chores. I even stayed of love making with her like 8 weeks counting now. I will continue to let her get more rest. I am sorry about your MC. God will surely replace it with triple joy. Amen

Amen, thank you. A woman I know was told by her docs to have enough rest and get back to the hospital after a stipulated time. When she went back and complained the same issue they "detained" for two weeks that she's not resting at home.. If resting at home is not guaranteed, just tell her she'll go for the bed rest where she can be monitored. God will keep her and the LO

My wife is in a first Trimester. Scan confirm she is 10 weeks gone. Which I am very happy cos I never expect my wife to be pregnant cos of we practise withdrawal method. Cos I dont subscribe to contraceptives cos she not conceive before. The problem now is that she having the on and off stomach upset and pain although something disturbing most especially in the mid night . Most especially after managing to eat. Last week Thursday she had this light bleeding while. cleaning the kitchen floor. Ultrasound shows she is fine but this stomach upset on and off like 1, 2, day(s). is the darkness in our happiness. Pls advise
Note: Doctor confirm she is internally Alright during the last scan.

Please let her rest very well and if possible avoid doing anything around the house so that there'll be an internal balance. Rest is extremely important sir. That was how my doc was confirming me alright till I had a MC.

My Birth Story

I had my DD(Rainbow baby) in 2015, thereafter we decided to wait awhile before trying for another and that took over 4yrs.

In September 2019, I took in again but miscarried at 10wks this time around the body didn't expel it naturally, I had to go for evacuation.

Three weeks after the evacuation, my menstruation started but then I got infected and had to treat the infection. (The itch I experienced then ehn was out of this world)

For the first time in my life after treating the infection, I became apprehensive, anxious, worried, in fact I had a lot of negative feelings then because I was afraid it will affect my reproductive organ.

DH tried to allay my fears in so many ways and even suggested that we suspend TTC plus the Covid-19 pandemic, yet I was silently worried and felt the infection has affected my reproductive organ one way or the other.

Seeing my menstruation every month was something I dread.

Then by September 2020 when I least expect, I started looking for my menstruation I didn't see not knowing that LO (another rainbow baby) has started baking.

Presently, we await the arrival of our LO and the joy of a new birth.

My DH&DD can't wait to meet their LO.

In all I'm grateful to God for this gift and I've also learnt a lot from this thread, thanks to all the experienced mama for sharing their wealth of knowledge.

Talk to the people around you, let them in on your problems, you never can tell the kind of solutions they'll profer. And please don't end your life, find peace in Christ.

Preggo mummies, I need help and prayers. I'm now 5 weeks and 1 day. I've been having PMS like cramps since week 3 and it has yet to subside. I took about 6 tests on different days which all came out positive but faint, and I read somewhere that the line should be getting darker gradually, but it's not at all.

Also I'm noticing that some symptoms I had are no longer there, like the slight sore breasts and nausea.

I was so devasted this morning thinking I'm going to have (or may have had a missed miscarriage).

Anyone with such experience? And please your prayers, and lots of baby dust. I'm really attached to this pregnancy despite having two kids already ( probably because I want a girl now)

God will see you through ma, please talk to your doctor/ gyne so that they'll know what to do and please rest very well ma. God be with you and your LO

Some people bleed during pregnancy, I pray everything is fine, ask your doctor if your progesterone dose could be increased, also observe strict bed rest... you and baby will be fine in Jesus name.

Hi all.
I am a first time mum and about 9weeks 5days pregnant. I don’t know if this is normal but I am very sick. Stomach cramps vomiting and strong nausea. I am also very weak.

I spotted for about 3days and the Gynecologist prescribed progesterone tablets. I dunno but I feel it makes me feel worse

Is this how it feels or there’s something wrong with me. Ps I am the first child and the first pregnant person amongst my friends so I don’t really have anybody to ask.

Same here mama, 9 weeks 1 but have been cramping and spotting even after progesterone injection.. Just keep updating your doctor and observe enough rest (very important). May God keep us and our little ones

Good morning mamas, please don't ignore.
I was spotting on Saturday evening at 8 weeks + and I called my doctor to inform him, he said we should observe till 9am on Sunday else I would be placed on progesterone and bed rest. Throughout that Sunday, no spotting and I reported back to him.
Spotting started again on Monday till yesterday which I went to the hospital and was given the injection. My question now is after the injection am I still supposed to experience any spotting at all cos from after being given the injection yesterday evening till now I'm still spotting lightly. Entered week 9 yesterday.

I welcomed my cutie princess today through VD without tears. I'm a FTM. I'm surprised that I didn't tear at all. Just bruises. God be praised! With God, ALL things are possible.
Labour was very hot and painful! . BS Loading.
Mom and daughter are doing very fine. Dad is excited
I raise my voice and say that the Lord who has done it for me will do it for every expectant mom here in Jesus name! Amen.
