Minmin2323:
Good morning ma'ams,I am here again to ask questions
(1) iS the first PNC(post natal care) appointment very important,I am suppose to go today but I left home to my mum in-laws place already and it is very very far to my hospital where I was given the appointment
(2)I cry everyday, say 5 times in a day,I don't know if this is a sign of PPD,I barely eat and I am exclusively breast feeding,I lost all the appetite I gained during pregnancy,I want to be left alone,I look at baby always and say Oprah Winfrey was right when she said she didn't want to birth a child because of the dead of not being there for them,I apologise to my baby everyday telling him I will always be his greatest cheerleader even though I am going tru it all at the moment
(3) oh the pain is still very fresh and this is 15 days after my CS,is there something I am not doing right,I asked my doctor before leaving home and she gave me cocodemol for pain,I don't really know what it is doing to me,my sisters had CS for their kids and none is behaving like me,(it is true that I am just being overly dramatic with the pain like my mother in-law said, now I just go inside and feel my pain in peace)
(4)baby did circumsition on Monday, not the hospital way that I was looking forward to,the person that came home to do it said we should be putting cotton wool to wrap it every morning with penicillin and drops of oil, then remove it the next morning,oh the way he puts his hands together when the pain hits him make me cry even more than him,I don't look forward to bath time anymore, are we going to be fine?
(5) when can I start bathing,I only wash down, and use towel to clean the soap on the upper part of my body
(6) mamas that have done CS should please drop manual on healing,I know our bodies are different but little tips to help my life is needed at this point
(7) and oh the pressure to go back to work just 15 days after giving birth is killing me.
Sorry for the epistle and typos,I am losing it already
Hey mama,
1. Its important to go for your PNC. Your doc will get to know how you are feeling, if you'll need medications, advice you more on what you should do and what you should not, check your stitch area etc.. Try find a vehicle to convey you as it will help you alot.. Like the questions up there can also be directed to your doc and you'll get professional advise.

2. Please don't let ppd set In you're gonna be a great parent.. After I birthed my LO, my appetite dropped largely but MIL made sure I took pap cos I wasn't always hungry but the more my baby sucked, the more my stomach opened up and now I eat more.. Trypl taking pap and fruits especially when you don't feel like eating anything cos baby needs you and all he can get from you.

3. The pain depends on your body too.. That's why your postnatal checkup is important. Dont lift anything heavier than your baby, stay away from chores oo. Be consistent in using your pain relief and taking of suitable fruits. You will be fine.

4. You both will be fine

5. I started 3 weeks after but some mums here started earlier. Just don't scrub the stitch site or cover that part and gently pat with water

6. No 3 will help and other mamas will add other helpful tips for you.

7. Forget offline work for now, don't even try it. you can get started with something online for the mean time..

You will be very fine, it's a phase that will pass. One love and E-hugs to you

Hi every one, I'm new here, congratulations to mama's that have put to bed, and those still expecting, safe delivery to you all. I'm 5 weeks gone by the grace of God, I want to ask if its safe for me to use a sewing machine at this stage,?.
Wait for a little while before continuing with your machine if it's manual but if its electric or industrial, it's fine.. I know there are people who didn't even know they were pregnant and continued using their manual machine but its a different thing to know.. I knew I was pregnant before missing my period and I stayed off my machine till I knew my "Tanwa" was well sitted in there.. You gerrit baa? Congratulations ma

I use salt and warm water but it's still white.. d down down tongue is even thick white from bress milk and nan angry grin grin grin grin grin
Biko recommend
I've heard of glycerine. I think you dip cotton wool in little and swipe over the tongue... If you have that finger brush for babies, it should clean with water

Mamas do you know there is something called babies getting sick because their environment is too clean??KIkikiki…that’s how my sisters baby was taken to the hospital and the doctor said she should calm down on the neatness that the child’s need micro biome something something….Actually my sis is a neat freak o. After every pumping she bought special liquid soap and will boil the bottles for like 30 minutes before she wash with the special soup…. grin
This is what I was able to read up on that

Yes, I sometimes use shea butter also. But I use shea butter as body cream for my baby also and I notice how the skin got darker overtime. Do you think it could be cause of the shea butter? I use less shea butter on my baby’s face and more on the body and the face is a bit lighter than the body.
Personally I think babies have their face lighter than their bodies... Its when they grow that the face becomes slightly darker than their bodies.. But if you think its caused by the shea butter, maybe you should change it

oh. Not the shea butter itself. I meant will not applying anything on the hair cause that. Most often I only brush the hair without applying anything. The baby is on low cut though.
Oh, I'm sorry I slipped that part. I think it will make the hair dry out truly. Please, apply something

I am a first timer
I am disturbed
1. How do I know how many week is the pregnancy ?

2. There is a serious pelvic or waist pain, how do I remedy it ?

3. Is it possible to have PID and HSV same time ? And the doctor said it is a minor one and end up prescribing Lynxiclav 625 Tablet?
How do I reconfirm this part to make sure she is 100% clear of any infection?

Please help a bro oo as I be JJC oo
1. It can be calculated from the last menstrual period. How? Download a pregnancy app on playstore or any app downloader on your mobile, input the day the last menstruation started and boom you are good to go. OR visit a good diagnostic centre in your environment to run a scan (it mostly corresponds with the LMP own if the pregnancy is still in its early stages)

2. Once had severe waist pain in one of my preggies and I can't say this is the solution to it so it's better you Visit your gynaecologist.

3. Use a Google search to make research on that drug and see if its usable in pregnancy or contraindicated.. Better still, seek a second opinion from another gynecologist (not a general doctor o)

All the best.

So I haven’t been oiling my baby’s hair for a while cause of heat. But I’ve been told it will make the hair became coarse. Is that true? Though I sometimes use shea butter on it. What do you mamas recommend??
I use shea butter on my baby's hair these days but I apply it more than once a day so her scalp is not dry... I doubt if it will make her hair coarse but try and Apply it more than once

Hahaha, naked ke? Rara oo.. The way my daughter babbles when the fan is rolling, you'd think she's telling the fan to roll faster.. I also keep like 3 extra clothes on the bed so I can change her cloth when it's wet. Fiam the new one Is wet before I know what's happening.. New Gen babies wey no dey like heat. I wonder how my baby will cope when it's heat period and there is no light, na to blow fan tire

Babies of this generation loves Ac/fan even more than adults grin
They really do but one has to be very careful of too much exposure to those things as they are still very tender... It baffles me to see my baby sweating in Onesie when me the mama is well covered, It amazes me so much but preventing cold from entering their body is important

Good evening mamas, please who has ever use/is using Aptamil800g for her baby? Want to ask how many days it takes a 3months+ baby to finish it because am seriously not understanding what's going on again.

My baby is always at creche from 8am(which he'll be sleeping) till 4/5pm dat I ll go and carry him but his baby milk now last just a week and am beginning to wonder what's going on, how can I ask d caregiver how many times he eat per day because I expect it shd b within 2-3times considering every 4hrs for him. Naso baby milk dey tey finish
The caregiver might be tasting the milk grin.. Get the dispenser as stated and stop giving them all the gongoni (tin) grin
Don't also forget that while he's with you, you supplement with breast milk but with them, it's just the milk over and over again.

The advice you seek can only be given you at the hospital so I'll suggest you go back there.. The deed has already been done and I know lessons must have been learnt.. Talk to your gynaecologist and ensure she works with her doctor throughout the pregnancy

Thank you for all you do on this platform.

For my son, it's not that he's not sitting at all. He sits on his own for like 2mins and then falls.
It's just that with how fast he achieved other milestones, I taught he would have started sitting firmly on his own by now.

Sometimes he rolls from tummy to back
I think it's too early for that oo, sitting firmly ke shocked..
In my place, we start teaching boys to sit at 4 months (they say so they don't sit on the scrotum grin).. I started sitting my DD at 3 months, her spine is also very important, make e no bend cheesy.

Just continue patiently, he'll get there

Good evening mamas

Please who knows any good treatment for jaundice. My baby is just 9 days old and has been tested to have jaundice. Has anyone experienced this before
Please take him back to the hospital for phototherapy or you use the early morning sun method of its very mild.. Some people give their babies pawpaw water but many moms don't advise it cos of their tender kidney

Good afternoon Mamas

Abeggi oo
Ayam tired of carrying my boy and I need him to start sitting atleast. He will be 4months by 20th. Please what can I do to teach him.

Thank you oll
Be patient mama, when he's 4 months, you can start sitting with him.. I put my DD in between my laps when we started or hold her and let her remain in sitting position for few minutes when we started and now we can stay longer.. When he's getting used to you doing that, you can then put him on the settee and pass his sides with clothes (make sure you are there o).. At first he'll tip over but gradually he'll sit on his own?

Please mamas what do we use to cut our LOs finger nails? I use baby file but the nail grows back longer after 2 days. I tried baby nail cutter from a grooming set and omoh i mistakenly cut her fingers, blood full everywhere.
I need suggestions please
Aww, little innocentie.. The nail cutter is the best. Just ensure it doesn't hold any skin when you put her nail in between then tip it off gently.. Or you can use your teeth when you just brushed (some women use their teeth but I can't).

Mamas advice is needed pls. I m resuming work soon. My baby will be 5months then.i don't want to rely on my breastmilk alone again. Am thinking of a backup food incase I can't express. Can I go ahead to introduce solids/puree/ baby food or I still need to use all these baby milk formula.
My second q, how do u clean 4month old baby mouth. I feel d mouth needs cleaning, they can't just be eating and eating.i feel it s smelling milk
Good morning mama... You can clean the tongue, some mums use cotton wool swiped in glycerin and you can also use cotton wool swiped in water to dab the tongue and wipe any area you feel needs to be wiped.
For me o, you can start purees at 5 months and semi solids as well Incase formula won't be sufficient for baby
