Hello Everyone,

Our bundle of joy arrived on the 14th of July. Two weeks before the EDD.

I am grateful to God for the bundle of joy.

My wife's pregnancy journey has really taught me a lot.
A week before the baby arrival, my wife and i had gone to the hospital for the normal checks (we dont miss this once everyweek considering she is on Bondomet). When her vitals was check, they said her BP is 130/80 and she should be expecting baby anytime soon.

Few days later, i noticed my wife's leg was swelling but i thought it was just due to the pregnancy pressure. I calmed her down that all was fine. Our appointment was on wednesday but we missed it because i was engaged. But the second day, she dressed up to go lodge a complain about the swollen leg. When her vitals was taken. her BP has shot up to 180/120 (something that was 130/80 a week back). Test was conducted and the doctor said something about SPE (Severe Preeclampsia). I have read about this SPE before and i knew it was something dreadful. There and then, we were faced with either induced labor or CS.

We opted for CS on the spot and it was carried out. I was in the theater with her all through and the surgeon said we made the right decision because if she had opted for induced labor, the baby might not have made it. When the baby was brought out, she wasn't breathing well. They said she has respiratory distress and was placed on oxygen for 5 days. All in all, mother was fine and baby is now hale and healthy.

I must mentioned that what helped with our quick decision was that me and my wife had discussed the idea of having elective CS before that day. So the decision was easy to take.

My advice to expectant da is to always find time to go to antenatal with their wife and doctor's appointment should not be missed for whatever reason. I am assuming what would have happened if we missed our appointment that week.

Good morning mamas and happy new week ... please I need suggestions and advice on what to do. Since I had my baby over 9month ago she has never slept by heslef I guess my mum spoilt her with too much carrying dat that she sleep carrying her on her hand. while carrying her and u put her down on d bed or her bassinet she will wake up immediately crying.. den from carrying her to sleep even if it 3 hours we hold her on our hand well she sleeps. Over time it moved to backing when she was about 2-3month. Please to cut story short d issue now is dat my baby still cannot sleep on d bed when she naps and at night I ve to put my hands under her to place her head and dats how she sleeps all d time . Once I get up to just pee I won't ve reached d bath room before I start hearing her cry I will ve to rush so she doesn't fall off d bed while she look for mi . Please i need suggestion as dis backing for 2-3 straight to nap like twice during d day and even at night time before placing her on d bed is already getting stressful . Please I will appreciate your suggestion . FTM

Our little princess came forth on 20th July thru an ELCS after three days of labour. Thank God for both our lives,still recovering from pain.

u c wat is happening in daycares ehn it gives me d hippies gippies... I have read alot n watch cctv videos uploaded about bad daycares so much it gives me nightmare n anxiety about leaving my children in a daycare, i dey alwz scream at anybody tellin me to put my children in daycare so dt i can resume work... I love money ooo but i love my children most. Trusting strangers with my children is a big capital NO 4 me. I watched a video where d son of a daycare owner dt boy ws btw 10-12yrs of age bulling babies, e pretends to b helping his mother, but wen nobody is lookin at him e pinches, slaps n practice wrestling wit dis babies.. Doing smackdown n all sort... Wen d babies cry n his mother come in to attend to d babies e pretends to b soothing them n wen his mother is gone, e resume his bulling, he was caught on camera live, God wen i watch dis video on facebook my blood was boiling. Another one ws of a hire nanny in a daycare dt purposely broke a babies leg juat to give d daycare she was working in a bad name bcs she wanted to open her own daycare so dt people will withdrawn der babies frm where she ws workin n bring dem to her own daycare n anoda ws a lady alwz beating a 6 months old baby left 4 her to look after, wen i watch dt video d cry of dt baby trigger smtin in my brain, d baby wasnt crying she was wailing, i fit kill d lady if to say i see her. Another story, dis one happened to a friend, i just happened to pay her a visit dis particular day, she came home wit her 10months old baby wit a bump on his head, i asked her wat happened she said his carer told her he fell, she believed her but i dnt but i mind my bzines n said nothing. Evil people hide in plain sight n with venerable people. So people shld just bcareful. Me i can nva tell anybody not to put der babies in daycare ooo, nva... But just knw wat is more important in ur life... No matter how u investigate a daycare, u can nva knw wat is really goin on in dt daycare except God reveal it to u... Dis babies cant talk, dey r innocent beings dt can fall into preys hands if care not taking. Yall shld just b careful wit ur babies. I don talk too much... Not my fault, wen it comes to babies ehn i gt too emotional.
I n my siblings ve experience bad care too wen i was little, not as a baby thou but as a little child frm a family member, d difference is dt i was able to understand wat happened n told my parents abt it n we were nva left alone wit d person ever again.

Good afternoon mamas, am really stressed out and worried at the moment...My 3 months old baby has only been breastfed right from birth and has never taken a bottle before. Now my maternity leave is about to end, I had to get a breast pump so I can start teaching her how to make use of a bottle...But this baby is refusing to take bottle ooh, I think I started late with the bottle...My husband has also tried because I read online that babies might accept bottle from someone else other than the mum, but she is still refusing it. Please I need advice from anyone that has experience this before because am just thinking how she will cope if she starts daycare.

Labor was so short... Baby boy came exactly on the first Edd scan gave me. Came to the hospital by 3.30. delivered 1hr later
Born at 37weeks+
Safe delivery to the remaining July Mamas.

Yes ohhh finally the lord has done it. Is a "beautiful" baby boy � ..... Though the devil really battled but God gave us victory.

Thanks to everyone for ur concern ...... When i brought my case here some mamas suggested I go for elective cs which i find scary then. And being that doctor have already opted for CR (cervical Ripening) hubby will not agree to anything aside doctors opinion .

Was induced on monday evening, on tuesday morning i started seeing blood show and was moved to delivery ward. Labor started around 2pm. At the first check it was progressing 6cm, second check it went back to 3cm. That is how dialation was moving front and back with constant checking (puting hand inside mi VG..... a very horrible experince) for more than 15hrs than I was already tired, and baby too was getting tired.

Dr now advise hubby for emergency CS to save my life and that of the baby that was on wednesday. In all honesty it was a horrible experince being my first time but looking at my Pericous LO it worth it...

In all I give God all the glory.

My sis am fine oo,my teamies na mostly late July oo,the four earliest date we have two have ported, me na scan date I use e don pass,the last scan and LMP na the same,so doc said let's wait for it.A big amen to ur prayers ma,thanks. Hope baby is doing great?

Good evening mums can a baby start teething from2-3months of age, my baby has seriously been biting and dragging my nipple for of recent, when I use feeder she chews it like her gum is itching her.

I really don't understand this stuff sha, cause my first child was 3.4 at 6 months, that was how my midwife suggested partial fasting. I later gave birth without CS but baby was 4.2 at birth. One of my friend that ate so much had her baby and she was just 2.8, what exactly is the cause?
