darkelf: You think Ighalo would suddenly turn a new leaf because its Cameroon? Good point my nigga. Cameroonians will neutralize the little threat Ighalo possess. Honestly, I am pretty done with this AFCON as regards to Eagles. The team can barely play 5 clean passes. I will take a beautiful football to winning matches any day. I dont even want Clarence Seedorf to lose to a crappy Oyibo coach. More Black Europeans should coach Super Eagles. |

Curtisaxel7: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the end of the road. If we miraculously survive Cameroon, we are up against Egypt on home ground. And there is simply no bloody way we're getting past them. Not with a dumb archaic septuagenarian at the helms. From this moment, I don commot mind from SE and AFCON, I just dey wait make season start.
I only pity the young talented players (Osimhen, Henry et al) who are being robbed of the opportunity to use this tournament as a launching pad for thier careers. It's such a pity.
The upside to this is that the NFF will be forced to sack Rohr for disgracing us before the world. Bye bye Onigbinde! It's obvious we are out but not without Rohr getting fired and a total overhaul of the team. |

andrew444: The youngsters we have the are the forward lines ,don't make it look like we have a young good midfielders on the bench as we have onyekuru osimhen chuks not playing much
Our defence and midfield is the best we can offer
Who are the young stars you want to be played together ? It's just the forward line ,I can't remember any young midfielder or defender on the bench Has it not been over 2 years since Rohr took over ? Meanwhile, he is yet to find a midfielder? Lets agree Rohr has done his best. |

Joebie: No be by name.. play as a team.. Many of us are still saying Osimhen cannot play in this AFCON. no be he mates dey play ball. Rohr is clueless how to put these lads together and make them function efficiently as a team. You know, some people post here just to be seen as smart. Osimhen can play in the Belgian league with more technical players than AFCON but nations cup is beyond his level. Rohr doesnt know what to do with the talents he is spoilt with. There is no way we should not be playing beautiful football when we have Onyekuru , Aina , Osimhen , Awaziem , Iwobi , Kalu , Collins , Chukwueze.....We should be playing high possessive football with many goals . If Rohr like let his beat every team ten zero till he lifted the nations cup I want him gone...I want to see us play these youngsters together and familiarize them with one another. Rohr will destroy the future of our national team if we let him to continue |

ChrisKels: The Malian team is made up of youngsters from their 2015&2017 U17 sets, yet they are this good. Yet, some people are trying to convince us playing our youngsters together is a bad idea. Yea, its only a bad when you have Rohr as a coach. I can do better with that team. Since that dinosaur took over our national team we are yet to plays decent football. He kept a Ebuehi on the bench while he kept playing a fumbling Shehu at the World Cup. Rohr is not the way forward. |

ChrisKels: No u re not, u rather are sticking out ur neck for Ighalo hoping he would clean up the mud he has pelted ur face with
With Ighalo and that amentia we call a coach, we aint got no business being in this AFCON.
U guys deluded urselves thinking Ighalo would suddenly turn a new leaf, in so doing, y'all swept under the carpet his well documented prodigalities in front of the post, it's dawn on y'all that after all, Chriskels was right to have said earlier that the bromance btwn una Iggy boy and Rohr was nothing buh a pig on lip sticks. I remember how the kids in here were weeping bitterly whenever I told them prior this tourney that Ighalo was a misfit, a certain psychopat even called me an idiot for saying that
People wont learn, they have started again by not calling a spade what it is, instead of criticising Rohr for his short comings, they are here once again, saying Rohr was a great man-manager but a poor coach, but, to me, he is neither a good manager nor a good coach. No Sane manager will criticise his player publicily, the way he did. We thought the one with KC was a one off, he is still treading that same path now with Chuks, Onyekuru and Osimhen. I believe u saw his response when quizzed on his decision to sideline the three youngsters.
Ighalo =useless Rohr =useless Did he actually criticize those guys publicly? |

Bunique: musa is just 26 and still in his prime. he is one of the most patriotic and loyal super eagles player who has always made himself available whenever being called upon. musa should be respected and be seen as model for upcoming players in the super eagles. Besides there is a reason musa has survived several coaches in the SE, he has a unique quality. the way I say it, it will be difficult for any SE coach to completely discard Musa. Garba Lawal comes to mind...lmao. Every year the guy dey line up mana afuro ife ona agba. |

Just one tactics. Every coach has a weakness that's why you hire experts to help in areas they are not so good at. Amunike is still learning the rope and soon or later he will coach super eagles. |

Kalu, Osimhen, Chukwueze and Onyekuru are new to GWG but these are guys when are very confident, can score many goals and good with ball on their feet but they are wasting on the bench. Why ? Because we must play Ighalo and Musa |

Danielnino00: No need to be soft on Ighalo abeg..he is a poor striker in the GWG... Very.inconsistent...
Some people seem to forget that he was dropped from the team due to his poor performances and Iheanacho's form back then... He retuned to the team against Cameroon and scorer one beautiful goal before going AWOL again..Squandered 2 good chance to help us get a point (or beat ) Argentina at the world cup... I was just lucky that Rohr gave him another chance..Rohr had the chance to try Osimhen, Awoniyi,Odey and even Onyekuru as strikers but he decided to stick with Ighalo. . Imagine if the Yakubu treatment had been given to him!!
Make he retire after the AFCON abeg.. We have had enough... Rohr dy mad self..Leaving a 20 goal striker in one of Europe's top 10 league on the bench for 270 mins ... No need to press on, everybody here knows Ighalo is a crappy striker. He has nothing to offer...Strong and skillful but cant score a goal, unless penalty or in China. |

Football is moving beyond Adama Traore kind of wingers, we should be looking towards technical wingers like Onyekuru Lol....We should set the team to play like Musa. Does Southgate know how Nigeria plays ? |

elyte89: Going forward after d tournament, whether we triumph or not,I believe its high time we allowed Mikel move on,so we can concentrate on dt PLAYMAKER/AM ROLE SOLN once and for all,his stay in our team, seems not to allow dt area to b well worked on,ogu will definitely won't b considered again, whether rohr stays or not
For musa...well dts a 50/50 chance,
I would av loved ighalo to b eased out of d national team too, provided nacho up his game and rediscover his mojo back,we can't rely only on untested osimhen and a flop nacho as d solution to our number 9 position
If not ighalo might still b called upon if things doesn't change...d likes of (odey, awoniyi, ajayi and co), to me are not better options Very apt; Mikel time definitely up so is also Ighalo , Ogu and Musa. Musa is definitely going because he has done his best and its time to take a bow....He can't bench Kalu , Chukwueze nor Onyekuru ....Only sentiment make Rohr play him. Plus, he is not a captain material. Balogun need to watch it after this tournament, so is Ekong. Shehu should also start parking his bags because when Ebuehi returns and Aina is also playing well then he will be forced out. |

darkelf: I know it may be premature but I want us to start Osimhen on the next match.
Now, I'm not saying he is better than all our strikers ooo bit let us give him a chance to see what he can do against st stiffer defences at the senior level. Then, we'll know if lack of supply is the problem or other strikers are just bad. Somebody who score 20 goals in the last seasoned has accomplished enough to start an AFCON match where you have fumbling Ighalo and headless chicken Musa. Musa has nothing else to offer and we have a player who can play there. WHY IS ONYEKURU NOT BEING PLAYED ? |

And when he's not afforded space to run he doesn't contribute much I have said this on so many occasions. Dude can run and shoot but that's about it. Musa is not made for a team that play passes. Musa , Ighalo , Ogu, Mikel time is up! |

forgiveness: I don't know about Ogunbote and Ikhana's style of play, the reason I spoke about the ones I know. John Obuh, Emmanuel Amunike and Aigbogun.
If any average coach can achieve anything with Enyimba, then you should not have suggested Ogunbote and Ikhana because winning the league with these clubs were not a feet. But Aigbogun achieved second position with Warri Wolves. I think this is a great feet.
However, let me remind you, Kadiri Ikhana failed to qualify the Nigeria U23 team for the Olympics tournament in 2004. According to you, Ikhana is a failure with the national team.
You baffle me too much..... Aigbogun achieved second position because he was supplied with all the necessary resources he needed. |
