Every contributor here knows Aina loses concentration but you. Aina get caught ball watching on many occasions. He literally knocked Balogun into unconsciousness during world cup qualifier, because of lack of concentration. Sometimes I feel you deliberately like to sound ignorant.

the same keshi you are talking about couldn't sustain the success he achieved that he couldn't qualify to defend the tittle he won? the same keshi who paraded home based carpenters at the expense of players plying their trade in top leagues in europe and as well performing very well week in week out? the same keshi that left the team in a mess which turned us to a laughing stock in africa?

don't allow your past achievements in life get to your head making you to believe that you are still the best in your chosen career when alot of competitors are working hard to surpass it. we are no more blessed stars compared to the era of jay jay and kanu so it is wrong for you to think that other african nations fear us because of our past glory. sexy football is achievable but when you have the right components and talents to exhibit it. whether you like it or not we lack world class players but are doing decently well with what we can boast of.

your keshi you mentioned denied so many deserving players a chance to fight a place in the national team and when he ran out of luck we became miserable football wise. players like odemwingie, aluko, lukman, taiwo, martins, imoh just to mention a few were denied chances in the team because of his junks and selfish interest.

I knew luck will run out of keshi and when it does it will be disastrous but alot were blinded because of the teams triumph in the afcon and making through the group stage of the world cup where we were grouped against teams like bosnia(who the ref helped us to win),iran that out played us and argentian who won us even when nothing was at stack.

also can you remind me of the teams we faced during the qualification of 2014 world cup and if they were as strong as the ones we faced during the 2018 world cup qualifiers?
Yet, with his crappy players he got to second round of the world cup and won the nations cup . However, Rohr, with all the ballers he parade his team cant play simple passes....Now, who is better?

The main problem we have is in midfield. A front 3 of Musa - Ighalo - Moses Simon/ Samuel Kalu isn't bad at all in terms of profiles. It's that midfield that is killing us.
Etebo and Ndidi have done well but I still think that pivot isn't balanced enough.
I once said Iwobi is a poor impression of an attacking midfielder..

Nigga is so confused and lost most times....Iwobi on GWG is a sorry site. Nigga is poorer that poor on the field.

Yes, I support your assertions.

Yes, he may get the Job done qualifying us for tournaments but we ought to see signs of improvement

I dare say that we were lucky in our last game. But it will be foolhardy to keep on courting on mother luck. She is not a faithful woman and may leave our side in the next game. The reason why SA is very confident against us is because we didn't play to our full potential in the recent meetings between us.

We need to improve on our game and start instilling fear in our opponents.
Of course, we were danm lucky to beat Cameroon....lol. Any tactical sound coach like the South African coach can read Rohr so easily. The team has no rythm no telepathy just random movement of the ball till a chance is mistakenly created. Our progress does not correlate with our play.

I am just waiting for Rohr dismissal...you cant give what you dont have....end of road.

i made reference to Brazilian players plying their trade in the chinese super league not Brazilian clubs. rohr is crappy but qualified a team who failed to make it to the afcon back to back with a game spared and also qualified the team from a group that comprised top african teams such as zambia, algeria and cameroon enroute to the world cup without losing a single game just in the space of 3 years.

he is crappy and turned our team to one of the most feared team in africa once again which is what we were known of in african football previously. what was our rating in world football and africa when rohr took charge of the team compared to now?

when we were grouped against against cameroon, algeria, zambia during the world cup qualifiers did you ever believed that the team will qualify easily like the did considering the foes they faced during the qualifiers?

the problem we have as Nigerians is that we are way too ambitious and lack patience without putting into consideration that in the game of football it takes time to build a decent team. to me i agree rohr is not the best but he has so far done enough to build a decent team from scratch and as well built a solid foundation for any other coach who will take over when he vacates his position.
The world cup qualifying group of death was not the first time we found ourselves in such group. Keshi had achieved more with way less talented group of players than Rohr. Rohr has not won anything yet. And ,yes he is tactically deficient. Rohr has been Super Eagles for over 3yrs yet we unable to play three good passes....its not impatient...its FED UP! There is no reason why we should not be playing beautiful football!

And, no! The problem with Nigeria is not impatience it's people like you who are dormant and comfortable with anything you are given. Rohr has not done anything spectacular....just few flashes here and there.

ighalo have paid his dues in a top league as the epl before he left for china for monetary gain which is understandable. the brazil national prefer calling up a player from the csl than a player banging in goals week in week out for anderlecht, club brugge, standard liege, genk and gent who are the biggest teams in belgian football.

the same oshimeh counldnt hold his own in an unstable club as wolfsburg but i will never judge him with that because it was also a learning route in his young career. oshimeh's time will come but for now ighy is the best we can boast of
You started on the wrong note by comparing a well organized and funded Brazil professional league(i guess that's what csl stands for) to the Super Eagles situation. Fact is that Osimhen is our best striker in the just ended season in Europe not Ighalo and Chinese league is no where comparable to Belgian league. Therefore, I maintain the only reason Ighalo is starting has nothing to do with club form...my statement will be further validated when you take in account what a crappy tactician Rohr is. So, dont compare apples and oranges....use the appropriate variables. Many clubs in the Brazilian professional league can give some European super powers a run for their money. Gabriel Jesus waa bought directly from Brazilian league. They have good quality.

Also, using Osimhen's time at Wolfsburg to degrade him is just pathetic....if you know what a teenage players fresh off the boat go through in these European clubs you will hide your face in shame....this is a young man who was a teenager and still learning the basic. There could be a thousand reason why he was not CONSTANTLY played. However , the same Osimhen is in another clubside churning out goals like nobody's business....He who laughs last...while Ighalo was bungled out of premiership.

I see your romance with Southgate....lol

If Jamilu Collins is 100% fit, then I would expect him to start at LB while Ola Aina move to his natural RB.

That, to me, is our strongest like up.

O pari
Ola Aina cant displace Awaziem now. Aina has improved but I am not completely sold. Chidozie Awaziem,on the other hand have remain composed and steadily gaining confidence.

I would have loved Aina to start from left now that Jamilu Collins is back but I also noticed Aina still loses concentration mid game. Sometimes dude is absent minded. Awaziem though not as adventurous as Aina but he has performed fairly well for a guy who is played out of position.

Reality Check he dies not deserve anything, you earn game time. It is not a RIGHT

The SE is not the place you build your career.

The SE is recognition of outstanding quality performances in your club and league.

Thier club form reflects the requirements of the league and club but not the requirements of the SE and in this AFCON.
So, Osimhen did not earn game time?? Remind me the league where Osimhen plays and Ighalo. The only reason Ighalo is starting ahead of Osimhen is based precisely on super eagles experience. It has nothing to do with club form.

IMO,Rohr isn't much different from our local coaches when it comes to players selection . Our local coaches selection are often influenced by nepotism, corruption and tribal sentiments but Rohr's is clearly based on loyalty which I feel is bad for the team. .

Look at Shehu. .Because he impressed during the World cup qualifiers Rohr decided to stick with him for long..despite having Aina and Ebuehi who are better and natural RBs ... His preference for Kalu obviously has to do with the Bordeaux connection .And he is still rewarding Musa for his world cup heroic that's why he doesn't want to give Onyekuru a chance to displace him..
Look like what's going on. And that first goal against Cameroon in Nigeria sealed the top striker position for Ighalo....ever since then its either Ighalo or nobody. But, lets not forget he dropped Nacho

Rohr has been sticking with Ndidi, Mikel,Ogu and Etebo as his midfielders, while giving little chance for others like Uche Agbo to compete... He invited Ebere Eze to train with the team in London when d guy was relatively unknown but refused to call him up when he hit form with QPR ....
He is obviously not innovative like we think...He prefers to stick with his loyal boys...
I don't think what we need now is a DM in Agbo because we have that in numbers and Agbo has not been particularly spectacular. We need a 10 and a young one ,too.

I don't care if Rohr wins the nations cup or not I want him gone. We need an attack minded coach because we have decent defence.

Iwobi has this habit of starting games slowly and gassing out quickly. against a rugged Cameroon team, I fear what would happen...
Mikel would have done the job but he is a mess in this tournament and Iwobi leaves much to desire. We can forget that midfield until the nations cup is over.Ndidi passing abilities lack the quality to control the midfield and Etebo is undefined.

I want to see Azubike Okechukwu play with Ndidi....Zuby is more gifted than all the DM we parade, including Ndidi. Zuby can match forward with the ball and dictate play something Ndidi is yet to normalize.

He's no kid
Iwobi lack the gut and grit to play in the AFCON...He will lose more possession, Ekong will lose possession, Ighalo will miss 20 chances to score, Musa will outrun lightning....Just when I thought I was about to recover from the world cup disaster another is about to strike.

He was made before politics. This is not tribal because I dont do tribal politics...Its for iidiots....also, calling me IPOB shows how dimwitted you are.

Cameroon are the under dogs IMO. The last 3 matches we played were a combined score of 8-1.

Ighalo has scored 2 goals in 3 matches and so has Simon Moses. Mikel will be a big miss because he has been imperious against the lions 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 matches. Iwobi should be excited as he will face the team he made his international debut against.

Leon Balogun made his first appearance as a CB against Cameroon thanks to Sunday Oliseh who paired him with Efe Ambrose that night in Belgium. I think he is the only one who can man that left side as Ekong and Omeruo play on the right for club.

JOGA BONITO baba icons! Spreading passes like Barcelona but our eagles can't string 2 good passes with Mikel, Ighalo and Musa present....Let the youngsters play and learn from their mistake.

Nobody need to tell us this AFCON should be used as a building process for our youngsters.
