The pictures tells u how the common man in those countries lives compares Nigeria ands not as it has been over exaggerated by some shallow heads who have'nt been there at all. If u go to holidays bronchures u will think Egypte is heaven on earth, but in reality its not, Cairo is as choatic and crowdy as Lagos, the pictures we see of Hotels environment, Historic places is to lure tourist, but is actually different from the pictures u see with your real eyes about the common way of life there.

@Ma_J_Blige,

Nigeria may not be at its best but I am proud of her, I'm trying to tell the people who uses Egypte, Tunisia and Morocco as a basis to compare Nigeria to look farther.

The way some people on here just compare things without real fact and physical proof is really lamentable, I sometime wonders what they are trying to prove, I go to Egypte, Tunisia, Turkey and the carribean on holiday on a regular basis, and I have toured a great part of the country sides and remote villages, honestly speaking, majority of the populace still lived in shacked houses like we have in Nigeria, rampant power failure, runs transportation with riketty danfo and coaster buses, bad roads etc.

Places like Turkey that attract 30 million tourist per year are not better than the Nigeria we talked so bad about, Comparing the city center of Istanbul, Tunis and Cairo with the who of Nigeria is actually not fair, If u go to the holiday hot spot in Turkey like Antalya, Side, Alanya, Mamaris, Bodrum, Kusadasi etc, they still experience  rampant power failure and most of the hotels and companies still have a standby generators,  they uses mostly Domus ( turkish danfo) like u find all over Nigeria, runs similar bazaar (market) like we have in oshodi, alaba, onisha, tejuosho market in yaba etc, corruption is still rampant like in Nigeria. They still farm and harvest with hard labour in those countries like we do in Nigeria. Even with their longer existence Nigeria have come to catched up with them in terms of development.

Just looking at pictures taken from a beautiful part of a country is not enough reasons to draw your line of judgement . If Nigeria can have a bit more goals oriented organisational structure, we could surpass those countries 2 fold.

Balarabe hails Jonathan on Ojukwu’s wife’s appointment

By Ajibola Abayomi, Acting News Editor Saturday

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has praised the Federal Government over the appointment of the wife of Igbo leader, Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu, as the Special Adviser on Diaspora Matters by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Balarabe described the appointment of Mrs Bianca Ojukwu as recognition of Ojukwu’s contribution to the development of the country.

“I think it is a good thing for the Ojukwu family. It is to compensate the man for his effort in nation building. The Federal Government is in the right direction and there is nothing wrong with that.”

The appointment is a well-deserved one. The Federal Government has done what is good and I have no reason to kick against what the president has done.”

Yes, his correct observation/ description of some Nigerians engaging in unwholesome activities in some parts of SA cities, is not analogous to your own misguided/uninformed view point that 'Most Nigerians abroad really have this overbearing area boy/girl syndrome'. Are they wink?
Lol grin grin, my view point is not misguided, It's in fact what I see here whenever I visit my Nigerian friends I have in those neibourhood I mentioned and is aint different from what playmode is observing in SA, We express our 'notice me' suave so much in the wrong form, I find it a pathetic way to seek attention or looked upon as someone with high standard.

But again, while we have bad ones, we also have good ones that are well liked and promote how great and good we are as a people.

Jobless people like you with nothing better to do on your hands than to go around sniffing your nose at Nigerians whom you think you are better than because you have ''education''. But you fail to realise that some of the most braindead people on this earth are the most ''educated'', and that a people's flamboyance or otherwise is absolutely  nothing to be ''ashamed'' of, unless you already felt they were inferior or unworthy to begin with.

I go around the world as well and no one is as brash and arrogant as an American or an Italian, or a Spanish. Yet somehow their attitude is looked upon with a smile and an admiring shake of the head, but Nigerians? Oh. He must be a devil for being so brash and arrogant. He must be insulted, and called every name under the sun. Afterall he is supposed to be quiet and humble.

Nasty idiots.

Wow, u sound really waist dip in this issue, Nice u mentioned the Italians, Americans and Spanish as an example, do they resort to making  public nuisance of themselves and loud mouth that disturb a neibourhood?, doing their drug deals/commiting crime that openly threaten the tranquility of a neibourhood?, acting as if they are above the law?.

Look, while we have alot that behave like Oshodi area boys I have also seen some Nigerians that have acted suave in an interesting typical Nigerian ways and they were looked upon with a smile, drooled over and admiring shake of head like the Americans and co u are refering to.

So learn how to live with criticism.
PoliticsRe: South African Police Raid On Home Of Henry Okah's Wife Turns Deadly by omanzo02: 3:05pm On Jan 23, 2011
@playmode,

Your analysis there was spot on, most Nigerians abroad really have this overbearing area boy/girl syndrome, They tend to display high value is a very obscure and undecorous manner, I see them alot in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, east london, Texas and Hamburg to mention a few. Its a pity the uneducated ones succeeds  in finding their way there, and instead of developing themselves with the enormous opportunities around them, they stuck to the same backward situations that held them down. It's actually a pity.

The notion that anything BLACK/Nigerians is a targeted specie by police is not actually true, as long u live by the rule and stay away from crime, nobody give a damn about who, where and what u are.

Its becoming obvious that the fraudulent Nigeria's religious brainwashing of large portion of the masses is in conniviace with politicians to supress and hold their awareness hostage, I'm glad I don't belong to any of those stupid religious sect that call themselves churches, I find it hard to believe that most Nigerian feel God will drop down to earth one day to rescue us if we don't take our destiny in our hand and face the true reality of life, we have been synonimous with the stupid saying " God dey", well, I have news for them, There is no God dey, God only help those that help themselve, I think the best place to start a good revolution is from our pastors and churches to signal to all that we are back to our senses.

Burn the pastors, the churches and the politicians and everyone will come to term that power belong to the people.
Christianity EtcRe: Have You Praised Him Today? by omanzo02: 10:29pm On Jan 20, 2011
Fellow Nigerians,

Stop this fraudulent religious brainwashing,
These pastors can't help u and God won't come or sent an angel to solve your problems,
He already given u the wisdom  to take your destiny into your hand,
Miracle won't take place if u dont practically work for it,
The riches u pray for are within your reach if u a proper plan laid down for your life,
So those hopeless prayers, night vigils, demonic rituals won't get u no where,
Heaven only help those that help themselves.

Please, resist fiction and face the reality of life.
RomanceRe: I Am Doing Something Abominable And I Know But I Need Help by omanzo02: 9:30pm On Jan 20, 2011
@poster,

Its an acceptable fact that what u are doing is totally wrong, so I'm not interested in criticising u.

Yes, u can get out of your situation if u intentional want to, the best way to go about it is to have a deep dialogue with the husband of your sisters in a very serene enviroment. To start with, explain  the implication and damages of your affair with them is causing and its resulting effect when everything comes to light, let them know u have thought over it and u are not willing to do more damages than u have already done, call it a "breakup" if u like, but is the best way to go. its obvious from your post u are enjoying their company and the favours u get, let them know u enjoyed your time with them and appreciate the help they rendered to u and sound it clearly u feel it's deem that the affair comes' to a close, give them the assurance that u would keep whatever happened secret and live with blames that goes with it.

To prepare u more for their reaction, knowing men for what they are, they might want to convince u to change your mind to continue the affair, this is where u need to stand your ground that u want to call the whole bullshit over with and open a new chapter in your life.

Those fake pastors on this forum who are asking u to call them for prayer are just trying to captialize on your current situation to take advantages of u, If u believe u can change, then u can, afterall changes is  when human changes the way he do things, Yes I believe God exist somehow, but come to realise God will not come down or send an angel down to earth to rescue u from your problem, it's u who will show the will power, creative and pyschological wisdom to pull yourself out. So the fraudulent Nigeria religious brainwashing cant help u. The solution to your problem lies practically in your hands.

Goodluck.

THE CHALLENGES OF HETROGENEOUS NATION
i laugh when i hear something like NIGER NIGER REPUBLIC. I wonder who and who that make up this would-be prosperous nation. i am sometimes temted to ask questions like these: when did the romance between ijaw and ibibio/anang/efik started, when did ijaw and isekiri became best of friendS, when did ijaw and urhobo become good neighbours, when did isekiri and isoko started seeing themselves as one people, when did the ijaw and ogoni stoped fighting themselve. anyway it is a long story. go to PH, ijaws and ikwerres are killing and maiming themselve all in the name of claiming ownership of PH. urhobo and ijaw have fought each other bitterLY all in the name of claiming ownership of warri. warri has been divided into 4 LGs to accommodate the two groups but yet, they are still fighting. okrika man, bonny man, obobo man degema man KALABARI MAN, all will claim to be ijaw it comes to Nigerian politics but in their minds they believe otherwise. i strongly belive that if NIGER DELTA REPUBLIC SUCCEEDS, IBIBIO/ANANG/EFIK people will never join them, they may join the neighbour and kinsmen the igbo or REMAIN ON THEIR OWN. IF NIGER DELTA REPUBLIC SUCCEEDS,,,,,,,, IT will not last long, because all minority groups will not tolerate another being superior or dominating them. they may decide to go their separate way, giving room for the creation of another 10 nation within NIGER DELTA WITH THE POPULATION OF, PROBABLY, IJAW REPUBLIC 5MILLION, EFIK/ANANG/IBIBIO REPUBLIC (AKWA IBOM AND CROSS RIVER) 15 MILLION, URHOBO REPUBLIC IMILLION, IKWERRWE (WITH THEIR BROTHERS) 5 MILLION, OGONI repulic ( AND THEIR BROTHERS) 250,000, ISOKO REPUBLIC, 200,000 IKSEKIRI REPUBLIC 500,000, OTHER REPUBLIC 2MILLION, I STROGLY BELIEVE ND REPUBLIC CAN'T WORK BECAUSE IT IS NOT HOMOGENEOUS. THEY PEOPLE HAVE NEVER SEEN THEMSELVES AS ONE BEFORE.
Lol, I'm tempted to contribute to this comment tho, yes, there has been some internal crises and clashes between the tribes in the Niger Delta, but what you are not admitting or addressing to us is how these crises came about, so it may be wise to remind you that the same Nigeria state through her powers that be administrators created the crises to disunite the people to their advantages to control the wealth and expand their oppression on the people.
Your analysis of warri crises is far from the truth, The truth of the fact is that Chief Obafemi Awolowo acting on wrong advice from the same Nigeria state converted the title of the Olu of Itsekiri to olu of Warri, since then he has been trying to extend his constutuency beyond his kingdom and he met the legitimate resistance a sovereign tribe territory being invade would put up. It may interest you that they are now aware of the intrigues , and are more closer to each other than before, is that not a sign of unity?
