I have been married for 3 years now, I have known my wife for 5 years altogether. She was and is still the best thing that ever happened to me.

I don't know where to start from, I can't come to terms with the fact that my wife is leaving.

Guys, I think the problem started last year after some hoodlums stole my bike. That was my major source of livelihood apart from some home lessons that I used to do, but stopped due to health reasons.

It's been difficult financially and I honestly don't know what else to do.

Shortly after my bike was stolen, I got a loan from lapo and added with my little savings to enter palm oil business. I wish I had not done so as I ended up losing about 80k because the guy I worked with cheated me whole heartedly.

My wife had to get a job as a teacher in a private primary school. I told her it was just temporary as I was working to raise money for her start a poultry.

In order to clear the lapo loan, I had to do odd jobs and take loan from loan apps. My wife's little salary of 20k became the major source of feeding while I battled to clear the loan.

Sometimes I would borrow from friends to pay the loan app to be able to borrow a higher amount from the loan apps again. This was a mistake and a trap cos now I am so much indebted to these loan apps. I am even owing some friends and right now I am unable to pay back.

I have been in debt for over 8 months now to these loan apps. They have tarnished my Image to all my contacts.

I even stopped going to church because most of my church members who received messages from these loan apps did not even care to hear me out. They believed the loan apps that I am a fraudster on the run.

My wife started feeling ashamed of me. She stopped associating with me in public spaces. I know she has tried. Nobody deserves to pass through what she is passing through.

This afternoon when she came back from work, she told me that she would be going back to her parents house

She said that it is best she goes back to her people until I am able to sort my self out.

Guys I have tried to be strong for so long. Right now I don't think I can hold on anymore. I have always believed that things would turn out well, but right now I am in a low place. I don't know how long I can hold on again.

Last month I tried to even get a security job that pays 25k monthly. But I feel so discouraged to do the job. How long will I work to clear a loan of 320k that keeps adding interest daily.

Thoughts of suicide have been crossing my mind today. I really need help

If you are still owing LAPO try your possible best to repay. But for those loan sharks that tarnish your image please don't pay them on till they re-send transparent message to your contacts. And don't worry yourself if you don't have money now. The highest they can do is tarnishing your image which they have done.
If you are owing registered loan app repay them. Registered loan app are not much e.g Branch, Carbon, Fairmoney.

Determined to revive the port in Delta State, the Federal Government has said it has awarded contract for remedial dredging of Escravos channel.

Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Mohammed Bello-Koko, who disclosed this in Warri, said the dredging of the channel would help to expand the channel and enable bigger vessels to visit the port in Delta State.

The dredging, he said, which has started and is about halfway done, will enable port in Delta State to have a better draft, receive bigger vessels and record less incidences of vessels running aground when completed.

“We all know that the breakwaters collapsed about 10 years ago, and there has been high siltation resulting in reduction of the draft from 7 meters to 3 meters in some places,” Bello-Koko said.

According to him, the NPA has also started the mapping and charting of the Escravos channel starting from the fairway buoy down to Koko Port, which has not been done for over a decade or more.

“The essence is to enable us to be able to know the draft along the way and also ensure that the navigational aids are properly placed. This is because there are some decisions that can only be taken after knowing that the channel has been properly mapped and surveyed,” he said.

Bello-Koko further said the efforts put together means that the NPA is beginning to pay attention to the ports outside Lagos.

“We have a special interest in ensuring that Warri and other ports are more active. This is why we have been holding stakeholders meetings and we are going to Port Harcourt for another one. This enables us to engage with the importers and exporters for them to know that these ports are available for use. We will deploy more marine equipment and ensure that the signals are also working to ensure safe navigation of vessels,” he added.

This, the NPA boss said, will bring joy to the people especially those that are into the business of importation, who have been yearning for the decongestion of the Lagos port and the bringing of business to the Warri port.

Meanwhile, the Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III, who spoke during the visit of the NPA boss and his management team to the Olu’s palace to seek royal support in reviving the Warri Port, expressed satisfaction on the visit of the NPA new management to Warri Port as the first port of call after his confirmation as the managing director.

He said the eastern ports need to be opened up after several pushes by different governments in the past, adding that the recent efforts will yield positive results for the benefit of the importing community.

While saying that the Niger Delta people want the port to work, the Olu of Warri said that port generally drives the economy of the cities where they are located.

He however said that the NPA can always come to the royal family for support to achieve the goal of opening up Warri Port for business.

At least 1000 residents of Warri in Delta State were yesterday empowered with Point-of-Sales (PoS) machines in a collaboration between the Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse 111, and Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc in the state.
The programme tagged: ‘Delta Micro

Business Empowerment’, pioneered by Stanbic IBTC Bank in collaboration with the Olu of Warri took place at the Palace Ground in Ajamimogha, Warri South Local Government Area of the state.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Olu of Warri said the gesture was to improve on the standard of living of the people.

He urged the recipients to make the best use of the PoS, assuring them of more empowerment in the nearest future.
According to him, “I prayed that this will bring blessings to all the recipients, and they will not waste it. God will give you the wisdom, creativity and ingenuity to know how to use it. It will bring positive changes to your lives.

“I bless you with these today. We are looking forward to seeing the prosperity that is coming into your lives, and we will thank God for it.”

On his own, the Regional Manager of Stanbic IBTC Bank, Mr. Perebor Awoju, said the bank was indeed delighted to be part of the Olu’s vision to create value and impact on the lives of the people of Warri Kingdom.

One of the beneficiaries of the project, Mr. Gius Elvis, said he never expected to be shortlisted for the empowerment.
