Olu Of Warri, Wife And Stanbic IBTC Empowers Over 1000 Beneficiaries Comprising Of Women and Youths in Delta

In a bid to improve the livelihood of the less privilege women and youths of Warri Kingdom, the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III; the Olori, Atuwatse, and Stanbic IBTC Bank have provided over 1000 Point Of Sale (POS) machines to ease the provision of a means of sustenance for the Itsekiris in Delta State.

The intervention took place on Monday, April 4, 2022 in the Olu's palace field in Warri, at a programme tagged "Warri Kingdom Empowerment Programme" in which empowerment kits were doled out to beneficiaries.

In a brief speech, the Olu of Warri who prayed for and appreciated his subjects, assured the beneficiaries of his concerns to ameliorate their plights as their traditional leader

According to His Lordship, "I care about each and every one in this kingdom. If I have millions of dollars, I will make sure that I give them all to you. What I have I give it all to you today.

This empowerment items you will receive today, God will give you wisdom to use them; you will see the prosperity that is coming into your life," His Majesty prodded.

The programme was powered by Stanbic IBTC, a generational bank that ensured all beneficries get their kits to commence their own businesses.

The regional agent, Network Manager South Region of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Perebor Awoju, in his speech at the Flag-Off ceremony, appreciated the office of the Olu of Warri and the Olori, Atuwatse for the opportunity to be a part of their vision to create value and impact lives of the people of Warri Kingdom.

"Beneficiaries of the initiative are privilege to benefit from the means in which Stanbic IBTC expresses her passion and commitment to broadening opportunities and access to financial services for every Nigerian and African irrespective cultture and location," Mr. Perebor said.

Jonathan Amino Erikowa was the first of hundreds of beneficiaries to receive the empowerment kits from Stanbic IBTC which include POS machine and other accessories.

One of the beneficiaries, Duakpemi Utieyinmi, expressed excitement, and in delight said: "I am excited and grateful; I hope to improve and expand my business with these accessories."

Another beneficiary, Ogiden Tuoyi, said: "I am grateful, I have been searching for this opportunity, and God has used the Olu of Warri to bless me."

I need your encouragement and advice. I'm an entrepreneur. I manufacture product for sale. 60% of the materials must be imported, why 40% are available here in Nigeria.
The last time I borrowed money and made 6pcs. I did advert on Facebook to my surprise my inbox was flooded. I sold the six but could not order for materials because I have to repay my loan and some domestic consumption.
My current plan is to make at least 200pcs which will cost a lot of money because after selling the last six pcs customers where still ordering for more, some where even ordering for bulk but I disappointed them because non was available. And I don't want to repeat that mistake.
