Religion / Re: Imagine A Worldwide Ban On Bibles by omena555(f): 4:21pm On Oct 10, 2007
that is certainly impossible! i think we shd be careful abt the things we imagine, or soon u will begin to imagine things that will gradually make u doubt ur faith in God (thats if u believe in Him). Gods word says to cast down every imagination and thougth that exalts itself above the knowledge of God. caution pls.
Family / Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 4:01pm On Oct 10, 2007
lafile:

If I get the poster correctly, i think the options are Constant Electricity (i.e. PHCN running constantly no outages no falling poles. anytime of the day u switch on the lights it comes on.) versus Constant water (pipe borne water coming into your house at every turn of the tap).

I think i prefer light. water doesnt have to be constant. it can be stored. You can actually store a months supply.
good point too, especially if the means is there, but stressful.

@mdsocks, so u mean in the midst of riot u can browse nairaland very well but u no fit baf! i just hope u don't eat too, because if u do, i will report u to the iraqi rioters wink.

Family / Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 8:17am On Oct 09, 2007
with water u can have a real clean environment. theres nothing like being in a clean house. it makes me confortable even if there is no light. try having light with no water to clean or cook. it really can be irritating.
Family / Re: Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 3:08pm On Oct 08, 2007
ofcourse both are essential and i know that. but just in case u have to pick one over the other, which will it be and why?
Family / Which Do U Prefer- Constant Light Or Constant Water by omena555(f): 2:49pm On Oct 08, 2007
I have often found myself saying i would rather have constant water supply than constant electricity. I say this especially after doing some cleaning in the house. I just find myself thanking God for creating water. I find it so useful that i prefer it to having constant light. Not that i prefer to stay in darkness anyway, i equally appreciate electricity. Though my brothers always disagree with me on this. They'll prefer to have constant electricity.

So fellow nairalanders, which wld u prefer to have if u had to choose one? Constant power supply or constant water supply?

Fashion / Re: Why Do Ladies 'makeup'? by omena555(f): 5:34pm On Sep 28, 2007
saucekid:

@ omena,

no body makes up in my family lineage. we're just born beautiful/handsome and perfect

@poster, are u so sure of the above statement? u mean nobody uses powder or body cream or hair cream or lip gloss in ur family? cos u all have been born beautiful and handsome? hmmmmm

anyway, one thing u shd know is that makeup is not necessarily for the ugly. u dont say a woman is already beautiful, so she doesnt need make up. im sure that woman makes her hair and will need to apply haircream to it, even if she plaits it, that is part of make up. no matter how beautiful a lady is (even men) im sure they use at least 2 items of makeup. thats becos the word make up is not only attributed to such things as foundation, eye shadow etc.

maybe what u want to ask is why do some ladies overdo it. and even at that, i guess there is nothing u can do abt it. smiley
TV/Movies / Re: Rebeca: A Soap Opera On RSTV by omena555(f): 10:09am On Sep 28, 2007
yeah, we've been watching it here in Benin for lots of months now. it started well, very interesting and romantic. but right now, im getting bored of it cos they are wasting so much time, the suspence is just too much, they keep revolving around one issue over and over again. in short, the soap is just refusing to progress. it can be so annoying saying the same thing over and over again! there was even a time we tot it was coming to an end, only for it to start unfolding again as if it just started. but luckily for me, i just met someone who has watched it to the end b4 now. and she told me how it will end. according to her, the soap is still very very long and will surely extend till next year!
happy viewing sha. u'll enjoy it.
Fashion / Re: Can You Date Or Marry Someone With Facial Tribal Marks? by omena555(f): 8:21am On Sep 28, 2007

Fashion / Re: Why Do Ladies 'makeup'? by omena555(f): 8:18am On Sep 28, 2007
@poster, women make up becos it is equally necessary for those u want to. so let them be ok? thank God u are not a woman, so be content with what u are and let the women be the way they are.

by the way, have u asked the women in ur lineage why they make up? cheesy

Health / Re: How To Combat Pimples? by omena555(f): 8:21am On Sep 27, 2007
@poster,
1) never use warm water on ur face, only cold water pls. even if u have to bathe with warm water, make sure u use cold water on the face. ( i learnt this from Quincy Ayodele and it has help a great deal)

2) use white powder as against brown.

3) try to avoid heavy make up, like foundation and all those stuff

3) avoid unneccessary stress, cos i found out most of it is just anxiety that will produce no result except fear and worry
and pimples ofcourse.

4) laugh and smile a lot. try to be cheerful all the time. it relaxes the face and makes it feel better.

5) eat healthyly. take lots of fruits and water.

all, these, have worked for me. i believe it will work for u too. cheesy

larriederm:

omena555! i quite agree with you o jare, but as far as am concern , who is going to replace her?

@ larriederm, did i hear u ask who will replace her??!! why do u think majority of her colleagues are shouting that she should go? ( i mean why do u think pot is calling kettle black?) Dont be tempted to think its becos they detest corruption. They are all the same! And as soon as she leaves, one of those "pots" will take her place. Its a continuous circle. Its a pity though.
