Politics › Re: The Truth About The Second Niger Bridge-Chibuzo N. Ziggy Azike by omenka(m): 5:09pm On Sep 16, 2015
@ najoke: Saw your mention pretty late. Had been very engrossed at work. Sat down to do "one for the road" and on refreshing the home page, saw this.

Now, this second Niger Bridge stuff has been one of Jonathan's admin's biggest fraud- forget he even promised to go on self imposed exile should he not finish the work before 2015.

I wrote an article, "opportunity cost of corruption under Jonathan" www.nairaland.com/2452978/opportunity-cost-corruption-under-goodluck and sited the second Niger bridge in it trying to compare the cost of its construction to that of one of the world's longest bridges in China. I mentioned Lalasticlala several times and even Seun as well but I still don't have any idea why that thread didn't grace the fp.

It is just a shame the people of SE allowed themselves to be used by a fool such as that man despite the region having some of the smartest people in Nigeria.

Such a pity.

Firefire:
The impediments on Buhari's fight against corruption is Bukola Saraki and his cohorts, including the previous governors who looted their states treasury now fully integrated into the Senate.

However, we Nigerians are determined to fight corruption with the last drop of our blood.

Enough of looting our common wealth and you people living larger than life.

We use this medium to warn all the past and present corrupt politicians to start to return our loots in their custody as a matter of urgency.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Kill corruption.

wow! you have ties with Cross River State? Never knew, the only problem is that our current Governor thrives on media publicity which in most cases is packed with lies
Leave dat man make him just dey do. He thinks governance is all about wearing a cap that displays the native colours of Tivs, Idomas, and Igedes all over the world. Dude is nothing but Akume's puppet. And it seems he's even oblivious of the anger welling up inside those who fought tooth and nails to put him where he is today- the masses. If he doesn't turn a new leaf soonest, the Suswam treatment awaits him in 2019. angry

Edit: I thought you were referring to my state governor.

I don't know much about what's happening in CR state. That's where my Mom's from.
Politics › Re: Woman, Who Gave Buhari N1m Savings, Not Abandoned – APC by omenka(m): 4:34pm On Sep 15, 2015
PDP has been fighting for dear life using every single rumour imaginable- just as Ihedioha admonished them to- to pull this government down.

The defeat from the last election is really taking it's toll and they can barely hold forth as a credible opposition especially in the backdrop of their 16years misrule.

If I could have my way, PDP would be ignored and allowed to wail for eternity like a Devil that lost a soul to Christ.

Do we even start counting the people PDP abandoned until the last hours to the general elections- families of immigration scam victims, families of our fallen soldiers, IDPs, to mention a few.

While the Amphibians who've sworn never to see anything good in this government keep seething with hate and envy at every good news that hits the airwaves, Nigeria keeps making silent progress to their utter dismay.

The more good news we see and read about, the more their situation and general well being deteriorates, good thing is, they shall continue to revel in their self induced misery for the next 8years at least.

#NeverAgain shall this country be handed to such band of criminals and their demonic cheerleaders.

Nigeria will grow stronger and stronger IJN, amen.

Long Live Mohamadu Buhari.

Long Live PYO.

Long Live Fowler.

Long Live Nairaland Progressives.

No, lying is. Buhari once said it is shameful that smaller African countries to whom Nigeria (the touted giant of Africa) should be acting as a big brother are the ones rather leading the fight against our home grown terrorists. You guys twisted it to say he said we don't need our neighbors' assistance in the fight against terrorism, and you guys believed your own lies just as long as it makes you happy.

Politics › Re: PDP Urges APC To Pay Attention To Management Of Economy by omenka(m): 5:44pm On Sep 14, 2015
If PDP and her supporters weren't the sadistic imps they are and are hardwired to always be, they would understand that they need to give Baba some room to continue to perform his delicate surgical procedure on this country that has been rendered crippled due to many years, 16 horrendous years, of incessant abuse by them.

Had they taken as little as 10% of the time given them in 16years to actually do the work for which they were empowered to do through the ballot, we wouldn't be in such dire straits we find ourselves today.

And to think that what we see today is worlds apart from what Jonathan handed over to Baba, a literally grounded economy with no electricity, petroleum products, and a basterdised currency, makes me think of PDP and her supporters as suffering from an acute case of amnesia when they grumble.

They didn't and would never support Mr President, yet they make the most demands of him.

What a sorry bunch.

If there's any truth to this accusation, then it's a huge slap in the face of good governance. Just like I stated yesterday, no governor has any reason whatsoever to divert these funds into ANY other purpose, be it personal or genuine public purpose. The money is strictly meant to offset workers' salaries and should be used STRICTLY for that purpose.

This dude is pushing his luck too far- if this is true.

Compassion's more powerful than hate. Thumbs up for the EU!
That is some Nigerians for you. They think everyone has lost their sense of humanity like them. Even the pictures of the body of that baby washed on shore that probably marked the turning point in EU's posture towards the migrants wouldn't have twitched a nerve in spiteful and bigoted people like the op.

The only point worthy of attention he raised here is the position of the Gulf/Islamic states in this whole mess. I can't seem to understand their stance, especially Turkey's.
