Insiders told one of our correspondents that the Tompolo-led ex-militants have been unhappy, particularly as President Buhari recently terminated the oil pipeline protection contract with the Federal Government. Anyone still thinking these guys are fighting for the emancipation of a region need to have their heads checked by a neurologist. The struggle was, is, and will always be about the emancipation of their bank accounts. |

Kastonkastroll: OK AIT might be a PDP propaganda TV station, but there is this 11:00am program I never miss(money show, the only program I watch on the propaganda station). The other day, one man who was invited on the show said oil is a curse to Nigeria and he was so happy about the fall in price of crude oil in the international market. The man said all the problems we are facing today in Nigeria can to be traced to oil and he was absolutely right.
• The people shouting marginalization today is because the want to have their own share of the national cake.
• boko haram was created because some people thought they have been marginalized.
• The ones threatening the FG that if due attention is not given to them, they will pick up arms is all because of the curse black gold
• The religion sentiment, ethnic chauvinism, greed and avarice in Nigeria today is because of the oil.
• Those shouting Biafra Are doing solely so because of the oil.
• The corruption, laziness in Nigeria was because of the oil
The black gold has done more harm than good to Nigeria. How far will the curse black gold take us as a nation? well only time can tell.

Truckpusher: Yeah, but you and I are aware that it's the same elites from both sides of the divide that will orchestrate these violence simply to have access to the national cake - I'm still waiting to see if Buhari would play that game like every other Nigerian past Government.
I do not support it when criminal enterprises decide to hold the Govt to ransom simply because the Goverments over time have refused to do what is necessary to ensure that these violent organizations do not find it easy in recruiting people that already feel that they have an ax to grind with the govt.
Make policies that would ensure growth in any system and watch these armed gangs in every part of the country run out of manpower and resources to exploit while perpetrating evil and destabilizing the economy and threaten our peaceful coexistence but nay! they will never do it and anarchy becomes the order of the day. No nation with her military might has ever killed her way through to achieving peace, harmony and security. Word. |

Truckpusher: What are we afraid of ?
The United nations charter for human right recognizes self determination. If a man or woman wakes up one morning and demands for the dissolution of their marriage I think it is important to take it into account because this is the right thing to do and any party that feel aggrieved can only beg for the other party to stay with a clear road map on what would be obtainable and the indicators properly identified and strengthened on. If the old Eastern bloc have decided to discover themselves and determine their future it is important for any reasonable people to let them have their way. We pray that it should come to fruition let the people determine their own future , let them by themselves face their own future be it bad or good at least it would be their call. Every man has a right to decide for himself and his own destiny unless they've been defined and identified as slaves which the Nigerian govt hasn't done yet even as the slavery is real. You and who are afraid of what I'm praying God brings the dream of Biafra to fruition and you're ranting endlessly... Na wa oo. If person pray make una get una own country, na wahala. If person pray make e nor happen, na anoda wahala! What exactly do you want |

From the president to the councilman, from the general in d army to the new recruit, from the inspector general of police to the constable, from the VC of a university to the security man @ the gates. All of them love to abuse power. Why on earth do I have to leave d road cause a governor is passing? Why would a section of the road be closed or a street closed cause a top government functionary is passing? I might get punished and beaten for my actions but I know my right and don't allow anyone trample on dem for any reason. D problem of majority of Nigerians is illiteracy and lack of awareness. We have a neighbor who is an house of assembly member. Whenever he's in town, d siren of his convoy will always blare disturbing d sleep of others(is he entitled to a siren in d first place?) I complained about it. Guess what came next. I was tagged a bad belle. Until we start demanding for what's right, these idiots will always treat us with impunity. DaBullIT: While you may be right, did it occour to you that there maybe circumstances surrounding his negotiations ?
Do not forget that Other people that are not civil servants want something from the government too , something like good roads , water , security , and stuffs .
Imagine, March salary and this is September, that is very wicked , but like i said last week, these same workers enjoyed 13 months salaries and other bonuses two years ago / last year before campaign kicked off , they should try to understand where the governor is coming from Bro, the last time I checked, the money the states government are getting are specifically meant to offset salary arrears and not to build infrastructure. This is especially evident in the application letters forwarded to CBN by the various state governments wherein they quoted figures of salaries owed workers and mentions were not made of infrastructure. I understand what a tightrope these governors are working here, but they put themselves in this mess in the first place- when money was plentiful, they looted with reckless abandon while some sponsored celebrity weddings and sponsored "state delegates" to attend celebrity wedding overseas!!! They can't start discussing building roads and what not now that they scarcely have the wherewithal to do so. |

Why can't he immediately proceed to disburse the funds soon as he got hold of it?? Why the delay?? Who's pocket would the interest go into?? And his talk about paying half salaries is just totally unacceptable. What Aregbe is doing is condemnable on several levels. |
Politics › Re: Tension As Governors Sit On Bailout Fund by omenka(m): 1:14pm On Sep 12, 2015 |
The governor's had better not tamper with those funds or deploy them to purposes for which they weren't meant. What manner of greed is this??
Those monies were given primarily for the purpose of offsetting owed salaries and allowances of civil servants and shouldn't be used for anything else or hoarded to generate interest for anyone.
I wish the FG had gone about this in such a manner the monies would be disbursed directly to the intended beneficiaries by the CBN through the various DMBs- but of course if that had been suggested, these insatiable an greedy politicians would turn it down because that would mean limited access to the booty. |
