Politics › Re: Jonathan Encourages Corruption In Nigeria - Tambuwal by omenka(m): 5:38pm On Dec 09, 2013
To make matters worse, he destroys what little gains that had been made by our muribond anti corruption agencies by granting state pardon to convicted fellons and reversing sentences. That man is just plain corrupt.

I can see laptop No1 operator viewing the thread. Patiently waiting for him to start barking.

IKEMBA NNEWI: There was a time i reasoned like you ''What are these people doing in our land'', funny thing was, back then i was in the north ''Their land'' and yet had that mindset.
My point is, go to Sabon Gari in Kano, Or to Old Airport in Sokoto, you'd think you were in Aba and Awka, respectively. We cannot continue flocking to other peoples lands in droves and then keep a long face when they reciprocate the gesture. I, personally have no problem with them relocating and residing in Igboland, so long they dont bring their 'bloodlust' and Fanaticism with them. Alaigbo welcomes all welcomeables! QED
God bless you and your children's children.

What else can one expect of a perpetually redundant president?? He can even jet off to mars for all we care, afterall, his presence or absence in the country is hardly noticed.

Sincere 9gerian: @Berem.., You have before you a choice to make- follow the path of anger and frustrations or the that of a happiness and blessings. So far, you'r tending towards the path of anger and frustrations but you can still retrace your steps. The path you'v chosen has only one end- destruction, Boko Haram and FAILURE. I have chosen the path of happiness and blessings and I urge you to join the FRESH AIR team on this path.

And by the way, the phrase "continuous incessant whining" aptly describes people like Berem and co who have the HIGHEST number of posts in the complaints thread (aka official whining thread). I dont think I have made any comment on that thread in the last 3-4 months. So congratulations Berem et al.
Berem was right. All your posts so far on this thread are indicative of a frustrated and bitter man. At no point in my opening post was your name mentioned, yet you barged into the thread thrashing like a piranha thrown out of water onto bare floor or do i say like a rodeo bull just released from confinement, problem with that is we've got alot of experienced rodeo riders in here and they are ready to ride you to exhaustion! Perhaps i should just let you wallow in your self induced misery. I guess when you eventualy come to, if you ever do, you would have the presence of mind to see things more clearly. Cheers.

Sincere 9gerian: Who was the coward that created this thread? Why didn't you make this observation in the thread in question? I know I saw your ID viewing that thread on several occasions before it was closed. Why wait for the thread to be closed only to create another thread on the same matter? Why didn't this your emotional outburst take place in the thread in question?

Unlike the sentimental ranting you wanted to pass as statements of facts, valid and SPECIFIC questions were raised in that thread. I'm sure if you had spewed this thrash on that thread, right thinking persons would have taken you to the cleaners. I personally asked that the thread be closed so as not to create further conflict but I didn't realise a coward was waiting in the wings to create another thread on the same matter. Yours is a clear case of cowardice or at best clueless copycat?

All I and many others have asked for is FAIRNESS and nothing more. I am sure the moderators and super-mods got the message. The opinion of one coward whose courage failed him when it mattered most remains inconsequential.
Guilty conscience already eating you up. Better put a leash on your emotion before you rupture some blood vessels. This is a public forum and if you dont like the way things are done around here stop visiting, and i assure you, you aren't gonna be missed. You keep yelping like a rabid chuwawa outta whose mouth a bone has been yanked. As much as you think the mods are bias, alot more folks in here think they are fair. What gives you the impression your opinion is superior to others? If you were being revered as a king in the little cocoon from whence you emerged and you were expecting thesame treatment here only to be disapointed, deal with it man! If you want a forum where only your opinion would be heared, create one. We've had enough of your whining!
Politics › Attention Seun/moderators!!! by omenka(op):
The creation of this thread was neccesitated by a thread opened by someone, earlier in the day, whose name i'd rather not mention, because quite frankly i find him/her uttery disgusting.

I have always noticed, with dismay, a disturbing attitude of some posters, especially those who are PDP bias, to blackmail and bully mods into taking topics critical of the opposition, especially the APC, to the FP even when such threads dont have what it takes to make FP, and ensuring those critical of PDP never make the FP. It manifested in its purest form earlier today with the thread which the said poster opened, attracting the attention of Seun. This attitude has always been there, only this time it has become much more obvious for the attackers have ramped up their campaign a couple of notches.

In truth, if one understands the workings of the minds of those PDP e-warriors, one would know that nothing can satisfy them as regards how this site is being administered! In their minds, as long as a yoruba man remains the founder (too bad nothing can change that) of this site, it will always be pro-Tinubu, pro-APC, and anti-PDP! They are hardwired to view everything through an ethnic and religious prism and the word 'merit' doesnt exist in their dictionary.

Personally, i have several threads which are critical of PDP and GEJ with veryfiable sources, which never made FP even though they had quite a number of coments. Yet i have never raised a voice of complaint against the mods, or solicited front paging any of such thread because i believe the mods, in their wisdom, would take them there if they ought to be there. If a thread is critical of APC, it is so likely one finds such coments as ''front page mods!!'', or ''this would never make front page'' among the first five coments. One must understand this forum isn't just about politics. Alot other topics exist in the other sections, from education to religion to autos etc. For this reason, i get to bear with the mods even when threads deserving fp dont make it up there, for if they were to fp every thread that deserves fp from the politics section, then in the spirit of fairness they ought to fp other such topics from all other sections of nairaland!! If this is done, one can only imgine what the ''glorious'' FP would look like!!!

I can go on and on, but i dont wanna risk sounding verbose. So, i wanna wrap this up by calling on Seun and the mods to remain unfazed and resolute in discharging their duties. The survival of this site depends mostly on you guys and the day you allow your conscience to be swayed by the whims and caprices of a few but very loud members of this Forum who aparantly are paid to do and say what they do and say on this site, that is the day you sound the death knell on the site!

I approve of how you guys run the site and insist there has been no bias in it, and therefore pass a vote of confidence on you guys . Do not be cowed into messing things up!!

Long Live Nairaland.
Long Live FRN.

Crime › Re: Pictures Of Prof. Iyayi's Bullet-pierced Body (Viewers Discretion Advised) by omenka(m):
amakenny: It is saddening the manner Professor Iyayi died. But in every murder there must be a motive. So what could motivate people leading Nigeria to wamt Prof. Iyayi dead? Nothng. ASUU strike has continued after his death. And in no way has ASUU leadership become weakened since Prof. Iyayi died. Apendage of signature? Does that translate to money ASUU leadership is asking for? From all indications, ASUU leadership is now looking for a face-saving exit route. You can't have two govts in a country, if you have, that's anarchy. As for the insinuation that the strike has political colouration, there are evidences here and there to back that, more so, judging from the utterances of the main opposition party which usually implied that it endorses the continuation of the strike. Mind you there had been ASUU strikes in Nigeria in the past, but the present strike has been the most difficult to resolve, why? Because there are ties to it with push for power shift.
Whatever rocks your boat man. I'm still yet to have anyone give me a cogent reason why govt cant sign the damn documents. And you are being miserly with the truth by saying this has been the most dificult to resolve. In '05 (or was it '06) ASUU went on strike for over 6months and at no point during the protracted strike did obj or anyone else for that matter say it was the oposition at work. Why is every problem faced by this admin blamed on the oposition? It is jst too damn irritating seeing them try to absolve themselves of every fault by blaming the APC all the time. The strategy has grown stale!

amakenny: may Prof's soul rest in peace. Hole on his body too large to be from bullet. Or how could the shooter have shot without anyone noticing it? But one thing is clear, this ASUU strike has all the colours of struggle for power shift. The strike is no more having a humane face, not even having the colour of trade dispute anymore.
How does insistence on the appendage of the signature of a high ranking govt representative on an MoU it willingly entered into with another body amount to strugle for power shift?? I realy dont understand how some nigerians think. It is realy shameful to say the least.

Politics › Re: Has Any APC Controlled State Universities Pulled Out From The Strike? by omenka(m): 2:50pm On Dec 05, 2013
modestdude: I have not given a thought over FG's claim that ASUU strike is political, not until recent happenings surrounding the divisiveness of ASUU membership became public. so i ask, if FG's claim is a foul cry, why hasn't any of the Opposition controlled state universities announced resumption date for their academic and allied activities or is APC's opposition all about being against everything pro-Jonathan/PDP?
Is there any criticism or mass action, or industrial action in the life of this administration which it didnt attribute to the opposition?? The govt is bereft of ideas on how to govern the people hence its consistent act of taking refuge in the court of gullible nigerians by blaming the oposition. Problem is we have millions of your type out there and it is advantageous to the govt to ensure people like you dont get any wiser, and this they do by giving you guys the worst quality of education money can buy.

There are many cases of violence perpetrated by these animals called Hausa daily that are nt even discuss at all becus it is individual causalty. There was a time on radio whn an Edo Man was talking on phone with presenters abt how he lost 3 children, a his wife with a small baby on back who went out to draw money owed them be4 they run away whn there was uncessary violence. And at D time he was being interviewed, it was already abt 3yrs back this incidence without anybdy knwing him or taking up his issue. This idea of One nigeria is nt democracy at all and so therefore shouldnt stand or work! Lets face D candid truth.
How about talking about her futile efforts in trying to secure here husband's benefitshuh Who do we blame for that, hausa/fulani as well?? Dont understand why people always get a hardon whenever hausa/fulani is mentioned.

From your spoken english, if you were gej, you would not only sack the lecturers, you would proscribe education across the country. Ignorant illiterate who assumes Graduate Assistants can become PhD holders in 5months if the govt trains them and makes them well ''granded''! Wonder the kind of pipeheads who liked the post.

There are thousands of threads here that are critical of pdp which never made fp yet no one raised a finger, but once a thread sugest wrongdoing by a member of apc, you guys are so quick to start muscling mods to fp it. And why should anyone even listen to this two timing thief, liar, and murderer? Now that he's critical of apc, he's cool, when he criticizes the precident it becomes a yoruba/hausa conspiracy.

There is not a cent in that account and and the said evidence was back dated. If these were true why didnt that thugish minister present them at his last press briefing to justify his ultimatum? This govt think they are dealing with pipeheads here. Discerning mind can easily see through their lies and deciet. ASUU would make a huge mistake not getting that document signed by govt before calling off the strike.

PDP were clever by half on this one. They were so eager to capitalize on the slip up and it has blown right in their faces! I can bet my last cent they would keep the money to themself instead of giving a dime of it even to the most destitute begger in Edo state. Whether you like it or not, the buck stops at the president's table. Was looking forward to an unbaised apraisal only to see all the hausa/fulani crap here and there. When have laws ever been appropriately aplied in this country?? If this sees the light of day, then we can as well bid farewell to free speech in the country. This is where the oposition should make their presence in the assembly count, by blocking this clearly anti-people legislation. Whatever hapened to working on a bill that proposes very stiff punishment for corrupt public servants?? The oposition in the NASS are realy begining to piss me off!
