LADY OF RAGE: fashola has destroyed ngige's chances of becoming the next governor.i will advice ngige to remain in the senate.as for tinubu's money,na to chop and clean mouth.
Wetin concern Fashola with Ngige? How Anambra affair tey affect affair of Lagos? Anambra is a state on its own. If it is because of support of yoruba people of Anambra deny the good man'Ngige the opportunity to rule Anambra,it is Igbo cup of tea.

Politics › Re: Soludo Officially Joins APGA! by omiobo: 12:38pm On Aug 01, 2013
Bokoharam: I told Prof Soludo in 2012 to abstain from politics in order to retain the remnants of his prestige, but he never listened. His tenure as CBN governor raised a whole lot of dusts that are yet to settle. He does not need to be Anambra State governor. He should expect a second disgrace. This time from Dr Chris Ngige! After then, he would rest in peace politically. "Ukpara okpoko gburu, nti chiri ya." A word is enough for the wise.

Note:
I am not from Anambra; I am not a politician, but I follow issues/politics in Anambra/Nigeria very closely and analytically.
Thank you! Second disgrace for Soludo. Ngige man of the people. At the last minute, everything will turn around to favour Ngige. Ngige will surely win ask Dora, she is in a position to say it better.

Politics › Re: Massob, Aka-Ikenga Condemn The Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos by omiobo: 4:31pm On Jul 31, 2013
oludyke: Reading the comments of fellow Nigerians on this bizarre act of Fashola has confirmed to me without any ambiguity that Nigeria is not one and never will be. I'm surprised at this generation of youths in Nigeria. Our fellow countrymen and women were 'deported' within their country and many of us do not see anything wrong with that. What do you think will happen should other states decide to act childishly as Fashola has done? Are there no Lagosians in other parts of Nigeria? I will state categorically without any ambiguity that the action of Fashola and his government falls short of any acceptable standards of building national unity. If many of us (especially yorubas) do not see anything wrong with this, do we make noise when Nigerians are maltreated or deported from other countries? When we do the same to ourselves here in Nigeria? It is sad that no Igbo governor has said anything about this wickedness. I say a big shame on them.

I used to be an ACN and the yet to be registered APC supporter, but I have withdrawn my support henceforth. This is just a tip of the iceberg of what awaits Ndigbo should these guys get to power at the federal level. No wonder the Englishman says that "the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know."
Oga,you are on your own. Your place has already been taken. Begging is unrighteous, they deserve to be reunited with their family. Why were u not deported? Simply because you are useful to yourself and to the state.
Politics › Re: Massob, Aka-Ikenga Condemn The Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos by omiobo: 4:23pm On Jul 31, 2013
Igbo contributes to 55% to LG? That is nonsense comment! Why can't they contribute that to their region if everything is about the seller? Moreover buyers owns the market. Igbo can't survive on their own. They depend on others to survive,if not,why cant they establish all they have established in Lagos in their region?

longjon: Did you say all states should hold onto their resources ? Can Lagos survive on its IGR alone ?
True federalism is the solution, if Lagos will survive or not, should not be your concern,it should be yorubas. I'm of the opinion that each state should live on what they have. Lagos has been the way it is even when there was no oil.
Politics › Re: Orji Kalu Threatens To Sue Fashola Over Forced Relocation Of Igbos by omiobo: 1:09pm On Jul 30, 2013
9icest: Abi. The same criminal who raped his state financially and ethically is now making noise.
Mr. Kalu, how many people of Abia did you turn to destitutes, gala hawkers, baby making factories dealers, armed robbers and immigrants in foreign lands? Im happy you are dealing with a SAN, someone whose actions are always within the confines of the law. You can sue the entire Yoruba race for all I care. And Im sincerely DARE you guys should start deporting Yorubas. I SINCERELY pray you do... Please hurry and lets see what this fall-out will lead to.
Haba, the state says it doesnt want excesses of beggars, and prowlers without jobs or identity who do nothing but harm its citizens...na wetin tongue
When LSG detained the beggars for 6months,why didn't their relatives bail them,if they have relatives as they claimed? So Kalu wan sue Fashola for doing the favour of reuniting the beggars with their relatives. Somebody must be Mr Jones!

trista: Anybody who thinks corruption can be tackled that easily is just clueless (no offense). for God's sake, even America, a developed country has its certain degree of corruption not to talk less of this under developed country of ours. Someone said that, an Authoritarian is what we need, well that's bullshit! That with no explanation needed will only make things worse. We've seen it before haven't we? As a wise friend once replied on this thread earlier in quote "how can corruption be tackled when you need corruption to enter power in the first place? That's a great rhetorical question." I've said it and I will say it again, its only with the miracle of God we will be salvaged from this troubled country of ours. Besides, it can't even be solved under one cabinet, the time is too short for one man to rectify so much damage in our economy already. That's my opinion though. Am out!
Kai! Leave story,my friend. Simply proffer solutions to Nigeria's major problem"corruption".. Op's question is a very standard question. Just answer the damn question, stop giving flimsy excuse. If you were to answer this question in an interview, will you be answering the question by spitting the above "bull shit".

50calibre: First and foremost, immediately after taking office, is take the following steps

1 - Retire all the current army generals from every geo-political zone, send them into mandatory and comfortable retirement.

2 - Evenly promote (to encompass every region )young, hardworking and intelligent army officers to varying higher ranks.

3 - Move to amend the Nigerian constitution, enshrining in it more justice, equity and FairPlay, reducing the powers of politicians/godfathers, making them accountable to the masses, powering the judiciary to function independently without fear or favour, making it a punishable offence for retired politicians to meddle in the affairs of state, to include the death penalty for theft/embezzlement above a certain amount.

4 - Empowering the police force by providing better training, funding, increasing their salaries and setting up an independent police committee that looks into allegations of corruption and unfair practises within the police force.

5 - Drastically reduce the salary and various other bonuses of politicians, making politics less lucrative.

6 - Incoporate anti-corruption lessons into the national curricula, to impart on young minds the dangers of corruption.

7 - Strip politicians of certain rights, strip them of their diplomatic passports that every travel outside Nigeria be routed through the state department.

8 - Empower the likes of EFCC, ICPC etc giving them absolute power to pursue and ensure corrupt officials are hunted down and met with the stiffest form of justice.

Quite a long list
Nice one! your ideas are genuine. Op asked a simple question, nlers could not outline how to tackle corruption after they will abusing GEj. Our youths are even clueless as their leaders.
