A friend of mine sent me a package using USPS (United States Postal services). And he sent me the tracking number.

The package arrived Nigeria with 5 days, the tracking status shows it is with the customs.

Custom processing

This is about 10 days after arrival, status still says custom processing.

Confused right now, how do I get the items.

How long does custom processing takes?
And what does it mean

Help pls....running out of patience

No cause for alarms, everything is under control.

Custom are in charge of collecting import revenue.

So, any package that enter the country must also be scrutinized by custom so that you can pay custom charges so far your item is legal item.

But on a norm, the courier service you used suppose to have charged custom charge to your fees.

Don't worry, when custom are done checking and charging appropriate fees on your item, you will be notified. Just pray that it's either they release your item for free or you pay huge custom charges on your item.

Each time I call my brother to please send me money for upkeep in school, he won't give me. I asked him why but he will tell me he doesn't have it.

The problem with Nigerian government with natural disasters is poor management and data analysis, if this happened in 2012 and then happened again in 2022, that's a 10 years cycle occurrence, so we should probably be expecting this again in 2032 and start preparing ahead of time, they should also look at yearly rainfalls back to about 50 years ago and draw data from it and start drawing data from this year and see the pattern before 2032, all the information gathered could help to prevent or reduce the impact of such disasters...
