Brokenbars: I was not bothered if he had oda women but i knew he didnt. he is one guy i know wit so much self control. i was not ready 2 be used and dumped and i was not willing 2 keep him with sex. if he truly loves me, he will stay with or without sex.
hmmm, so you would have been ok with him having sex with other women, as long as he comes back and marries you in the end?

Ourboss: My wife & I dated four good years without intimacy and our honeymoon was as sweet as honey. Understanding matters a lot in any relationship.
Were you faithful in this 4 yrs period?

The most important question here, are you faithful? how many have you entered? the truth shall set you free

joaquin64: Did you ever try Optimum Nutrition's whey protein? Its all i use. Its the best on the market. Dissolves perfectly.
I have seen that brand but never tried it. Maybe I will get it one of these days. Thanks

zeevin: Nice thread i must say. Firstly, i've always had the passion for looking fit. Now i have this weight-lifting equipment at home. Though im not regular (the office job factor), Its been helping. Friends commenting and all that... Ive been trying on the 6packs, follow this 8mins workout video on 6packs but im not impressed. Any practical advice?
6 packs are made in the kitchen, the exercise is just a supplement. What you put in your mouth will determine whether you will get six packs or not. You need very clean diet

joaquin64: I have been looking forward to a thread like this finally. I am no expert in bodybuilding but I have been building muscle mass for over a year and been successful at it. I hated being skinny and that was fuel enough for me to push myself to grow, even though much later i started building for strength too not just to look better. We can exchange ideas and i could give u a pdfbook i used, followed all the rules and gained from. Firstly it is very important to do a lot of research and reading and then lots of trial and error with your own body till you get to understand how your body reacts to different food sources and different mass building exercises in the gym. Passion and motivation is important and very important to enjoy it while doing it and taking it one day at a time instead of rushing it. I like trading ideas too with other passionate builders and watching our progress (seeing gains). I don't know all but I am confident to say i have read a lot of building, nutrition and gym materials as well as watched many YouTube videos of it so I can help in answering one or two questions. I am trying hard to get myself to the position where i can help others like me (those guys who know being skinny is just not good looking at all and want to be not just better looking, but stronger and healthier) and be a motivation to them too.

Note to many Nigerian dudes: Being ridiculously starved-skinny and having "6 packs" is like a fat chick having big tits. IT DOES NOT COUNT!
what type of program are you doing?
HealthRe: A Thread For Body Builders by OmoAlata1(f):
Rexlaw: Greetings folks...nice topic by the way...ive been working out since i was 17...ill be 46 in Dec...the question we have to ask ourselves is "are we lifting to look good or for the long haul...i started off lifting to look good ...big musles etc...as time went along it became more necessary to lift less weight and focus on more cardio...dont get me wrong i still lift but lifting is not my focus in the gym...i typically do 40 minutes of cardio and lift for 25mins...my point is if you focus on lifting you should throw in some cardio as well because musle weighs more than fat...so lets say you lift for a long period of time and you stop...the muslcles uve acquired will eventually turn to fat...so you've got to be careful...wish all you lifters all the best.
I lift so I don't get osteoporosis when I am older since women are prone to that. Plus at an old age, I want to be able to sit and get up without assistance.

Your statement about muscle turning into fat when you stop working out is completely FALSE. Fat and muscle are two completely different things with different physiological components. When you stop working out, your muscles will shrink and become flabby, not fat.

yusufogrin: i heard of a protien stuff named cratine.........but i dont know how much it cost..........my main problem is to get a flat belly........cuz weneva i finish eating..my belly will look like that of jide kosoko....any training on that?
.

You are overrating if your belly gets that big after eating. Portion control is very important. You can eat small small portions throughout the day

emcemayo: @ omo alata
i've done a bit of strong lifts but i was into the strenght training part of bill philips 'body for life' before getting preggers but for now i alternate using 'convict conditioning' and ' you are your own gym. these are bodyweights alternatives dat works ma body real good. i don't do supplements just basic lifting for functional strenghten.
.

I love your taste. I have read body for life but I have never done it. I did you are your own gym 3yrs ago. I also did convict conditioning but I never finished it, I think I got to level 3-4 before I got distracted by another program. Were you able to do the pistol squat and headstand push-up? I am not to that level yet but I can admire those who can lol.

I love bodyweight training cos I find it very challenging plus my muscles recover really fast. My program for the last 3months is very bodyweight based.

Can you keep up with intensity now that you're pregnant? Or do you have to modify a lot? My friend who is a heavy lifter is also pregnant and cannot do any heavy weight training at all. She is very off balance plus she gets dizzy easily, so she is only doing barre workout for now. She is almost due, so I don't have to hear her complain anymore lol

blink182: Guess I will be off for a while, do not see how I can workout in the morning.
You can just get up 1-1.5hrs earlier than your normal wake up. It takes a lot of discipline. Overtime, your body will be used to it, it'll become the norm

AjanleKoko: Was it good? Interestingly I just saw a doccie on the couple and their work, on BBC Knowledge.
Yes it was, I watched the first 3 episodes on Saturday and really enjoyed it. It is actually based on real life event. I was so nosy that I went and read up on the real story online.

blink182: Yeah that thing disgusts me like madt. Just found an ultra modern gym in my town with an excellent instructor, problem is creating time to visit regularly enough. 8-5 job isn't helping at all.
Studies have shown that people who workout early in the morning tend to stick with their program and get amaze result than people who workout in the afternoon or evening. That is very true for me, If I don't workout first thing in the morning and wait until after work, I'll find some type of excuse not to do it. I have been an early riser now for 3-4yrs and it has worked very well for me in achieving some of my fitness goals.

blink182: You ar most welcome.

Ok, cool. I do not support steroids though. I do not need muscles that big, neither am I in a hurry. I just do not want a sloppy body and start developing brea.sts by the time I am 40 or more. I do not ever want bre.asts.
Lol heavy lifting will definitely assure you no bre.asts. People that workout also tend to look young lol

blink182: This thread is for muscle builders not supplement users or male builders. I am not consistent but I'm also natural. I only used Kasilan based on doctor's recommendation due to sever muscle loss I had on my left limb-recovery period. Normally I am natural but when I resume full time(visiting the gym at least 6 times a week), I will definitely try out this creatine to see if it truly helps recovery. Recovery is the reason I'm not consistent-my recovery is delayed especially when I just let go and over work.
When I said drug free, I am talking steroid. I used to take supplements but I stopped 2yrs ago and just rely on quality food. I used to take BCAA, very good for muscle recovery but tasted very gross and nasty. I took creatine, my muscles were nice looking and made me gain 5-10 pounds water weight and the pills were so freaky huge, hard to swallow. I just stopped supplements all together.

FamilyRe: Need Someone To Educate Me by OmoAlata1(f): 11:55pm On Oct 15, 2013
onlyme07: Never would i support your divorce issue. I think it was due to his last action abi?..

Madam, don't go that far..yes,no Mr right out there but you believe with a good job you would be comfortable right? It's a big lie..you need to ask older women what it really means to be married, the home belongs to the woman and a lot of patience is needed to keep it going. Good you have a daughter for him just imagine the custody of the child was given to him that would be another prob and even if you have the custody of the child..kindly ask single mothers they would tell you how hard it is.

The man might have crossed his boundary but divorce is never an option and kindly erase that from your thought forever,it is not a good idea for a woman to think of divorce instead talk to God.

You can't endure now,i wonder if things were to be worse than this. What you need is God and patience. Tell God to give you enough patience to handle the issue at hand. He's not mad,he would realise later he made a big mistake laying his hands on you depending on how you behave and beg you..he may not postrate but you would see him sober. Have a forgiven heart ma'am,we are all humans and no one is perfect

You saw a condom with him and response was not good. Dear, men(not all though) cheat that's no lie, all you have to do is to make sure you buy more for him to avoid diseases. Am serious, WE think doing it outside is fun due to friends, what the young lads wear and how they seduce and believe its a sign of respect keeping the woman at from suspecting.

Do you really know what marriage entails? i bet you don't,it's no childs play, if you want to know, find a couple of more than 15yrs for more lecture about marriage.

I'm not on the man's side ma'am, just trying to point to you that you need to keep your home.Friends that you're comapring your home with or see looking fresh out there are facing lots of difficulties than yours, yet you see them smiling, they want a home believing someday it would be story and enjoy at the later end.

Take your bible, start going to church, start praying and fasting, find marriage books to buy and read, look for matured couples to be your mentor and put God first. All is well !
Huh?? What kind of nonsense is this??
