FamilyRe: Marriage Or Staying Together? by omoge(f): 3:42pm On Jul 31, 2007
i personally hate the idea of young pple carrying belle instead of them focusing on what they are doing eg school.

why a young guy will decide to bang a young girl (so call boyfriend and girlfriend) baffles me. it's hard to understand why they do it. maybe they lack self control, maybe it's the devil, maybe it's lack of tough parental guardiance i still don't know.

i'd prefer a young guy who is in love to marry instead of banging girl up and down and putting some in family ways. it's not helping our society wether it's western countries or nigeria/africa. men should learn self control and not go splashing their water all around the place.

if you have your gf pregnant for you, wether it's by mistake or whatever, go ahead and marry instead of bringing one more confused/fatherless or motherless baby into the world.

EducationWhat Do You Do With A Child Who Is Not Good Academically? by omoge(op): 1:43pm On Jul 31, 2007
what is the best thing to do with a child who is not doing well in school?

my friend's son is 17years old and not doing well in school. i really wondered how they got him into jr secondary school even though he can't read or write. he has repeated that class now 2ice. yet everyone is forcing the child to continue. in 2003, he said he wants to do a vocational work. they rejected it and asked him to go to school.

what is the best thing to do in this kind of situation?
send him to boarding school?
allow him to do a vocational job he said he wants to do?

he is been force and i have to advice my friend to allow him follow his heart but she is confused what to do too.

please let's hear your take.

FamilyRe: Child Dedication by omoge(f): 8:38pm On Jul 30, 2007
do you mean dedication in the church you attend or just getting friends together party?

someone i knew did a dedication 2 weeks ago. she and her husband brought the child to church both dressed in nigeria native wear with big gele grin there were dancing (am not a member just went there for the dedication) and lots of singing and praising. at the end, they brought out cooler filled with puff puff and another filled with bottled water. i got some puff puff grin but after eating 2, i had funny sensation in my belle so i had to stop. i asked her if she is doing another party in the house, she said no that it will be too costly for their pocket (the baby is the 3 child).

the church i attend had dedications of baby (oyinbos are what i have seen so far). that's where it ends. am not sure they do party.

for me sha, i might do ooo or might not. we will see when the time comes grin

FoodRe: White Girls And Fufu by omoge(f): 11:46pm On Jul 29, 2007
yeah that's true. once they like you they will eat what you are eating. most like jollof rice, egusi and pyam. they also like oxtail and stew (that's the one my neighbor's wife love) really crazy about oxtail stew. all the children eat any kind of nigeria food.

my good friend and her white bf came to visit me and he was asking of egusi and pyam. i was laughing. told him i didn't have the ingredients to make it some other time. i made jollof rice, the guy use am cover him head lol grin throught that afternoon and evening, the guy made sure the rice was at his side. cold go warm am and continue to eat grin one thing, i didn't add my favorite ata (habernero sp??) pepper to it though.

so guys, learn to cook okay grin

FamilyRe: Why Would A Man Go For A Second Wife? by omoge(f): 10:10pm On Jul 29, 2007
Yes!! strange as it may, many african women don't fight. they gladly/sadly remain in it. the oyinbo women won't take such nonsence. apart from financial wahala, the other woman is what send many oyinbo couples to court where they seek for divorce. the women here don't go away easy, they take the check book with them.
FamilyRe: Why Would A Man Go For A Second Wife? by omoge(f): 9:59pm On Jul 29, 2007
It is true and they keep making excuses. We should be honest, Sex is the main (maybe only) reason men go for the second wife. They allow the thing between their leg (dangling yekini) control their head undecided

FashionRe: Beautiful Bedroom Pictures | How You See Bedrooms? by omoge(f): 6:55pm On Jul 29, 2007
Sijuwade, where i live pple tend to show the home/apartment to first time visitor but it's most common with homes. when a first time visitor visit, you take them round the house including your bedroom. it's up to you to show your home/bdroom to your visitor not a must thing though with us africans. but oyinbos as long as their bedroom is organized, they will show you around.
