way back, i used to hear those ladies in the barracks telling others whose child sucks their finger to use razor blade and the child won't suck it. or rub it with bitter leaf, just funny. here in school there was this girl from india tall and pretty and we work and do take classes together. it is always funny to me when she starts sucking her hand. i asked her why you doing it, she said she loves it. then i asked again, you got a bf doesn't he complains, she said no that he likes her doing it, i just shake my head. she is abt 23years old. the habit is not good. don't leave her to continue doing it. whenever you sees her sucking, just tap her hands out of her mouth, don't know if it will work but try anything you can. |

Just because there are more women than men shouldn't be an excuse to allow polygamy. At least not all of the women want to marry. I agree it should be abolish and make it illegal to have more than 1 wife. We ladies should start from somewhere, don't agree to marry a man who is already married. |
Seun, do you remove post? @ topic I always wonder why a woman will sleep with 2 different guys at a given time. I don't think it is okay. I also believe that a man might know if he is not the father. A woman might not know though because sleeping with guy #1 does not mean he gets you pregnant. Unless you've been pregnant and knows it before sleeping with guy #2. The worst confusion is if you sleep with each few hours apart when you are fertile. |
From the post here, I see most will take their mother above their spouse, see it this way, Let the husband put their mother first above their wife Let the wife put their father first above their husband. Lafem:A good one here. |

you are right. there are some soup i love that palm oil in but not egusi, i think it is good with apon or ogbono soup. other than that no other soup i can think of. at some point, i lived in the western nigeria so i know that oil real good and we used to term it 'yoruba oil' no offence o. so strong aroma, my mom always ask me to buy Igbo oil which is way expensive but that is her kind of oil and the one her people uses in the Southern part of nigeria. I don't shop for the yoruba oil but i eat some meal prep in it with my friends. maybe they store it for a long time to ferment and have that aroma. |

@ dafidixone This is the 2nd time am hearing it that SEX is the cause of problem. The first is my oyinbo married man whom came with his lady for sunday lunch. we ended up chatting about christian relationship. He said for men the top thing is sex. For women, it is security. His lady (a working woman) agreed. I was like ''huh''. Didn't know sex is that much important to a guy, or perhaps just oyinbo men only and not african men? So you all (men generally) the best tip of a lasting union is sex? Na wah. Thought it was just for procreation, and now human being don hijack the thing and making it the cause of problem in a union, ojigbijigbi |

It was spring break and was bored. So i started playing with my hair and ended up doing the puff puff thing we do back in Nigeria when trying to groom your hair. It looked horrible seeing what i did in the mirror but weeks later went to class and everyone loved it and said ''it's cool style you have, i like it'' and my Asian roomies (the boyfriends of my roommates) wanted me to do their hairs, i was like ''sigh'' i don't like this thing on my head please, same day I loose it. |

I really can't understand why a man will kill his wife. Everytime in the news we see a husband killing his wife, a boyfriend killing his girlfriend etc I'm just seeing this in CNN now. Few weeks ago, a guy killed his wife and dismembered her body. Just last week an military officer killed his wife and dump her body in the wood, he called police that wife is missing, few days later the body was found and last Sunday the big guy gave himself in. It was said in the news that wife caught him cheating on her with 2 people (a female and another with a male) his beautiful military career is gone. In nigeria some husband kill their wife and that is even worst as no closure unlike in the west. But why why the killings? If you don't like your spouse, divorce and move on. I know it's both way but husband killings are becoming a fashion like animal. We are supposed to be human. You meet a woman, fall in love with her, marry and then have children much later you both fall out of love and then the next best thing is to kill, WHY? I feel sad about the killing of Ms. Grant in this case. http://www.denverpost.com/art/ci_5355648 What's your take? |

And it also indicates that mothers get way too much credit for raising their kids [at the expense of fathers?], or perhaps it's a reflection of the scourge and prevalence of single parenthood and broken-homes/upside-down families, else I see no reason why any balanced individual would want to choose his/her parent over their spouse. I think that any child that's raised in a stable home wherein the mother and father play their roles accordinginly, relative to each other and their children, should readily get the cue from such a marriage that the spouse comes first.
