99.9% of men on Nairaland do not have issues with taking care of their wives. However, the reverse is always the case when women like you read the word "cook", or "clean". Why is this always happening?

I have been on Nairaland since 2010 and I have never seen any man post such senseless complaints.

This thread is simply harmless. I have never seen any man brag or hype himself for his inability to take care of his wife. Such men mostly feel so ashamed to even speak about it. But for you women, it seems as though the best way to attract likes is to discourage cooking, discourage washing; use the word 'slave' or 'low self-esteem' on any woman that does any of the above. Issues that shouldn't even be heard, you folks come online to brag about it.


This trend is shameful, and it can only get worse. A lot of men are already opting out of this institution called marriage. At the end of the day, it is you women who eventually 'manage' whatever life throws at you.

Most Nigerian women do not shy away from their basic responsibilities( these is what we were brought up to know) which is to keep the home front running..our problems start when the man feels he has be sidelined because the woman is too busy working, looking after the home;children and him inclusive..without even lifting a finger to assist her to reduce the burden on her..which he will eventually use as an excuse the start cheating on her with a younger girl whose body is still firm and unblemished from child birth and making his wife miserable, and sad..then these men will still come and preach on how woman should do a vigil for him to remain faithful to her...who does that? and you guys expect this women to still take it hook line and sinker and pretend nothing has happened.there is nothing as bad her unfaithfulness..

First, take a strong antibiotics cos it's likely u've got a throat infection. Alternatively, try the traditional method of chewing some amounts of bitter kola.
