i went to check if the 1992 on my birth certificate changed to 1982 after reading with comment but it didnt grin clearly you are one of those overage uncles with no wife cause you just went psycho crazy on me when i was giving you advice.

Most young girls only find you attaractive if you have money to spend on them not that you are someone they would want to show you off to the world. Note i mentioned greedy girls not decent girls. Every other decent 20something year old is busy helping a guy, in her generation, make his dreams come true.

You ever asked yourself why every girl who is not enough for you never introduces you to her family or post your pics on the social media? cheesy instead she will post your toe, a quarter of your head or shadow? Here is your answer grin there are never proud to be seen by the world with your tired asss.

Let me advice you going for someone who is born in the generation after yours will not make you younger and or make your prick function well like it used to 20yrs ago.

You calling your agemates used goods? And what are you with your prick that has tasted every curable STI known of in science cheesy you better keep quiet because out there there are 20something year olds laughing at your old ass and foolish comments. You cant go for more than one round without using herbs or medicine, what does that make you? Expired goods grin

You all need to grow up and act your age. How many of your mates weddings are you attending next month? How many of your mates legitimate children will you be posing with this year? cheesy biko you better act your age ooo, even God dey pity you.
lol...kai.... una no go kill me with laugh for this Naira-land. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

electropiz:
Angry Letter to the Nigerian Youth

By Bayo Adeyinka

My dear Nigerian Youth,

I am very angry and that is why I am addressing you. You are the source of my anger and I want to vent my spleen- maybe not at you directly- but at the arrogance of your ignorance. Of all nations of the world, you are to be most pitied. Do you still wonder what you have done?

You don’t have an Ivy League education but with the little below-standard education you got, all you could do with it is to write a petition against someone with the benefit of an Ivy League education. You can’t even run your personal economy as you’re almost always and perpetually broke yet you arrogate to yourself superior knowledge about the nation’s economy.

You sit in front of a computer and rant all day through social media but with every click, you make money- not for yourself- but for Mark Zuckerberg. With every megabyte of data you spend complaining and maligning, you make stupendous bucks for Etisalat, Glo and Airtel.

Over the next two years, the number of Nigerian millionaires will jump by 47% but most likely you will not be among because you are too busy whining and complaining. And yet about 60% of Nigeria’s 170m population are below 35 years. Oh, what a waste!

By the way, Mark Zuckerberg was 19 when he started facebook. Africa’s youngest billionaire, Ashish Thakkar, is 31. He escaped from the Rwandan genocide and relocated to Uganda where he started an IT business. Collin Thornton, who made his millions by fixing bad computers and setting up Dial-a-Nerd, is 35. Adam Horowitz, an 18-year-old entrepreneur, started 30 websites in 3 years before he became successful.

The only thing you have ever started is an online petition. Have you heard of Jason Njoku? He’s 33 and the founder of Iroko TV. He received $8m investment into his company just a few years ago. What he does? Sharing the same Nollywood films that you spend hours to watch online. He didn’t just hang around waiting for Buhari to make something happen or blaming Jonathan for not making anything happen.

Kamal Budhabhatti was deported from Kenya but while on the flight, he thought of the opportunities in Kenya. He found his way back after 6 months and today his company is valued at $30m. He’s 36. Have you heard of Chinedu Echeruo? Apple just paid $1b for his app. He’s a Nigerian like you and all he did was attempt to fix a problem.

But for you, the only thing you attempt to fix are your nails- and your hairdo! Chinedu moved to New York in 1995 and found it difficult to navigate the city with ease so he developed HopStop to fix the problem. Stop listing all the problems- we know them already but what are you doing about them?

Awolowo was 37, Akintola was 36, Ahmadu Bello was 36, Tafawa Balewa was 34, Okotie-Eboh was 27 and Enahoro was 27 at the time of independence of Nigeria. In 1966, the first coup was led by Kaduna Nzeogwu (29) and stopped by Murtala Mohammed (28), TY Danjuma (28), IBB (25), Sanni Abacha (23) and Shehu Yaradua (23). It brought in Yakubu Gowon as Head of State at 32 and Obasanjo at 29. You are in your 40s and you still sag your trousers.

Of course you know Linda Ikeji. You’ve spent hundreds of hours on her blog laughing and commenting while she smiles her way to the bank. She’s just built a house for her father in the village- just by you clicking on her gossip and sharing. Your day is not complete without a stop by at her blog. She was as broke as you are but she turned a hobby into a business. Are you that void of understanding?

You think the politicians have any regard for you? That is why I referred to the arrogance of your ignorance at the beginning of this diatribe. You have a false estimation of yourself. You have an over bloated ego. You are only as good as an election ticket- pure and simple.

You are only good to used and discarded like a used ballot paper. Who keeps a used ballot paper anyway? That is why they only remember you every four years. You are like a menstrual pad that is only useful during the menstrual period. Are you hurt? Okay, let me help you. Have you heard of Prof Olusola Adeyeye before?

He is a Senator of the Federal Republic at the moment. But before he became a senator, he was popular on facebook. Even more popular than so many latter day facebookivists. I was one of his many followers. He put up posts after posts and pander to populist thinking. Then he was elected and one of the first things he did was to deactivate his facebook account. Yes, you read me right. Deactivate. How many times do you still see El-Rufai’s tweets? No longer regular? That is how it will dwindle until he disappears totally. I’m not limiting it to the aforementioned alone and this is not about any party. They are all the same.

Yet you falsely believe your future is in the hands of one politician. You will grow grey hair with that belief. And by the time you wise up, you’re on your way to the grave- not with a life expectancy of less than 60 years in this clime. Can you see you have wasted your time? And possibly your life? See, people have been complaining since independence. And they will still complain in 4 years. Will you be among them?

I agree with my friend who said Nigerian youth need mental detoxification. And maybe I should add that you need a brain transplant. Let me give you another example. I’ve watched you try to pull some people down when you don’t like their face- or their comments. You report them to facebook. And they get pulled down. Momentarily. Just momentarily.

Do you know why? Facebook knows those people draw traffic. Their posts get huge numbers of comments. And with every comment and click, someone is making money. Will you allow your best customers to leave? That is why though facebook pulled down Adeyinka Grandson’s page, he was given a facebook fan page in return. Yes, a fan page. You need to get a job and you need to get a life. There is life away from facebook or social media.

If you’re not making money from social media and you sleep on it, you’re merely existing- you’re not living. I have seen some of you take selfies and pose in all manner of ways as you paste your photos on social media. Are you a photographer or are you selling something that we don’t know? You’re unemployed because you’re unemployable. You don’t have skills. Sorry, the major skill you have is that of pointing out the problems and debating about them. That’s a no brainer! You can’t even diagnose the problems properly.

You think Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala is your problem? You are a self-inflicted problem. You are afflicted with yourself and by yourself. If you’re looking for the reason why you are the way you are- look no further than your mirror. Instead of occupying Nigeria, you should occupy your brain. The only witch chasing you from your village is you. It’s time to stop bewitching yourself.

Stop whining about lack of electricity or fuel. Do something about it. Every adversity has a seed of opportunity embedded in it. Create something. Invent something. Start something. Read up a book. Write a book. Take advantage of the present situation. Nigeria is a huge market. Nigeria is a virgin market. Waiting for you. Unleash yourself. Release your passion. Follow your potential. Invent your way to prosperity. Stop waiting for government- government only needs you when they need your taxes. Don’t depend on welfare. People who depend on welfare don’t fare well.

You think you lack capital? No, the problem is not lack of capital but lack of ideas. Just today, two men stepped into my wife’s office selling the new portraits of Buhari and Osinbajo. That’s someone grabbing an opportunity and seizing the moment. I have a friend who started out by offering after-school lessons to kids on her street- now she has a school.

I know a lady who was indigent and self-sponsored on campus. Each night, she soaked beans and made ‘moin-moin’ in the morning for sale on campus. I bought out of the moin moin as well as some other students and that was how she paid her way through University. Not prostitution. Have you heard of Ayodeji Megbope? She started her business with the last N1,000 she had on her by making moin moin. She is the CEO of No Leftovers.

I have shared the story of ‘Akara Ayo’ and invited him to talk to us before. He left his banking job to start a business frying Akara (bean cake) in Ibadan. And added some innovation to it.

Start a snail farm. You can start it with less than N100,000. I started it with nothing- I just picked up snails in my compound and raised them. In a couple of months, I had raised close to a thousand. You have a car and you are complaining you don’t have a job? Convert it for car hire. Take it to the airports and see how people will hire it for the day. Liase with good hotels and place it at their disposal. I met a young man in Calabar who charges N1,500 per hour for the use of his car. There is something in your hand that can give you the future you want. The best moment to start is now.

For God’s sake, just do something!

NB: This is just an article to stir up and challenge people and it’s intention is not derogatory in any form.

Dygeasy:

CONTESTANT NO. 7

>>>>|SANDRAHNAUB|<<<<

Sandrahnaub hails from Imo state in the eastern part of Nigeria.
She is a 19 yrs old 200level medical student of Houdegbe North American University.
When asked what her favourite food is, she simply says "I love to swallow", be it eba, pounded yam etc. ‎Her role models are Ben Carson and her mum.

When she isn't reading her voluminous medical books, you would find her cooking or hanging out.

Her sense of reasoning and the fact that she is always smiling makes her different.
She is that daughter/sister/cousin/friend who hardly frowns, is always smiling, cracking jokes, ever compassionate and willing to help the needy.

When we asked her why she deserves to win the contest, she says "I deserve to be the Miss Nairaland because I want the opportunity to really come out to help people (that's one major reason I ventured into the medical field) and teach people how to laugh again, seriously, if there is a price for this pageantry I don't know, I just want to have fun as this is my first pageant ".

Vote the compassionate Sandrahnaub, Contestant No 7 as the next Miss Nairaland.

SANDRAHNAUB'S VOICENOTE

http://www.datafilehost.com/d/f5ebaf36

SANDRAHNAUB'S QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION.

1. What has been your greatest achievement till date?

ANS: My greatest achievement would be bringing my parent back together.

2.If there is one thing you can do to change the world, what will it be? If you were given Seun's powers as the owner of Nairaland for a day, what salient changes will you effect?

ANS: A)‎ If I could change anything in the world I would want to change how people always turn to violence to solve their issues. Violence is a serious situation that has gotten us into nothing but trouble because we are always trying to resolve matters that may or may not concern us. For example, in this country. "Boko haram" thinks that, impregnating , kidnapping, molesting teenage girls‎, and killing people is going to solve their problem which is false, It can't and it will never solve issues with the FG.

B) Mehn!!!, to my level of understanding of nairaland, I don't think I will change anything Seun osewa is really doing a great job

3. If you will be winning the crown tonight, what will be the very first thing you will do?

ANS: Express my heart felt profound gratitude to nairalanders, other things will come next

4. What will be your contribution to mitigate local terrorism?

ANS: Mitigating terrorism, *sighs*
* 1st thing I will do is create awareness i.e through seminar and speech about the risk and prevention of terrorism most especially to the YOUTHS who would be considering‎ terrorism

‎2ndly I will assist my country security i.e police army e.t.c. By reporting /giving them info that may seem helpful in fighting terrorism( when I detect the activities of individuals and organizations who may pose a terrorist threat‎, I report).

5. What value does women play in life and how do you intend to work the current Miss NL to promulgate your presence and status.

A woman play a huge value in this life‎ starting from the family, a role of mother, and we all know that family may be d smallest basic social unit, but it has played the larger role of grooming the leaders of tomorrow, and the present leaders. As. We all know this wouldn't have bin possible without the help of a mother, A WOMAN.

6. What are the sacrifices you have made for this contest?

Made so many sacrifices, one of it is my time... and m ready to make more sacrifice when I become miss nairaland 2015.

7. How does this Miss NL contest, and any other beauty contest, contribute to humanity?

Beauty pageant like miss nairaland and others‎ promote advocate on humanitarian issues (such as visit to the motherless baby homes, prison, school for the handicap. E.t.c), promote tourism, and serve as cultural envoy across the world.

8. If you believe that God made everyone perfect and a reflection of His image, would He approve of a contest like this? which basically is an admission that we are essentially unequal, and should be ranked by looks?

ANS: Well I think God is in support of beauty pageant (if not he wouldn't have initiated this in d 1st place). Some people feel/ think that beauty pageant is about beauty alone, I disagree, beauty pageant, I see it as opportunity for a woman/man to come out and showcase their confidence, talent e.t.c

9. Many kids and teenagers are bullied worldwide for having "imperfect looks" -- buck teeth, large ears, overweight issues. What is your message to these young people?

ANS: I see my self as a point of reference, my advice to them is love yourself, until then will people learn 2 see the beauty in u and appreciate u ‎...and also be grateful to God, for there are other people with much worse disabilities.

Agriculture › GMO: Nigeria’s First Sugarcane Bio-factory Begins Operation by omoharry(op): 3:18pm On May 20, 2015
The federal government has inaugurated Nigeria’s first Sugarcane Bio-factory in Zaria as part of efforts to achieve national self-sufficiency in Nigeria's sugar requirements.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga, said the inauguration of the one-million seedling per annum capacity bio-factory was the first in the series of bio-factories to be established in the next five years, with combined capacity estimated at 12.5million cane seedlings per annum.

Aganga spoke while declaring the Sugarcane Bio-factory open for operations at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State on Monday.

He said: "The provision of high grade and quality seedlings of sugarcane is essential for the attainment of the set goals of the National Sugar Master Plan. A bio-factory is a facility where disease-free crop seedlings are rapidly micro-propagated under controlled laboratory environment for planting in the fields.

“This facility is designed to address a critical constraint facing Nigeria’s sugar industry – timely provision of high quality and clean seeds to sugar estates and farmers across Nigeria. We expect that, in four years, five of this kind of facility would have been established across Nigeria with capacities of between 2million and 2.5million seedlings per annum each.”

Aganga explained that the projection in the NSMP was that at least 250,000 hectares of sugarcane fields would be required for processing in about 28 mills of varying capacities to produce 1.79 metric tons of sugar in the first phase of the Master Plan.
He said: “The event today marks another milestone in the implementation of the Nigeria Sugar Master Plan, which was approved by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in September 2012. The NSMP is one of the major sectoral policies under the Nigeria Industrial Revolution Plan, enunciated by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment and launched by the President in February 2014. The ultimate goal is to make Nigeria’s manufacturing sector highly competitive and dynamic.

“The production of sugar is an integrated process with field and factory processes that are inter-dependent and mutually inclusive. Thus, efficiency in the cultivation and supply of sugarcane is essential for efficient milling and production of sugar and associated by-products such as ethanol and electricity.”

He noted that the vibrancy and efficiency of the Brazilian Sugar industry had been attributed to the investment and innovation services, which institutions like Brazil’s Cane Technology Centre(CTC) were providing to the sugar industry in Brazil.

“This is what the National Sugar Development Council seeks to replicate for the Nigerian sugar industry through the establishment of this bio-factory. Today, I feel fulfilled by the achievements that we have recorded under the programmes and policies that were executed under my charge as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment.

“One of the major aims of the NIRP is the deliberate linkage of research, technology and innovation to industry. Bio-technology in particular has opened to mankind a vast array of opportunities to significantly improve both the quality and quantity of biological deliverables”, the minister added.y

Speaking during the event, the Executive Secretary, National Sugar Development Council, Dr. Latif Basari, said the new bio-sugarcane factory would fast-track the development of the nation’s sugar industry, boost industrialisation and generate employment.

Busari said: “For us, the establishment of this ultra-modern facility that would support cutting edge technologies to rapidly multiply sugarcane seeds for our sugar estates and farmers is a clear demonstration of the determination of this administration to link our nation’s industrial development to advances in science, technology and innovation.

“It will enable the Sugar Council to achieve the NSMP goal of ensuring sustainable sugarcane production and enhanced productivity of sugar mills, all resulting in meeting our sugar sufficiency target.”

According to the executive secretary, this will also ensure the long-term viability of the Nigerian sugar industry and guarantee that Nigeria continues, not only to be food-secure in sugar but also derive all the notable benefits such as contribution to clean renewable fuel and power generation; huge employment opportunities; poverty alleviation and rapid rural industrial development.

Nigeria, We Hail Thee" (1960-1978)[edit]

Nigeria, we hail thee,
Our own dear native land,
Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In brotherhood we stand,
Nigerians all are proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.

Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour'd,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.

O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.

"Arise, O Compatriots" (1978–present)

Arise, O compatriots,
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith.
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain,
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

O God of all creation
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.

Following a brutal attack on Karamga Island of Lake Chad, the United States Department of State has said it will help West Africa in degrading and destroying Boko Haram insurgents.

In a statement released by the State Department which was obtained by TheCable, US condemned Boko Haram barbaric attacks on human life in the region.
“We condemn the attacks by Boko Haram insurgents on Karamga Island in Lake Chad, which killed 48 Nigerien security forces and wounded another 37, with others still missing.

“We offer our condolences to the government and people of Niger and to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives and who are missing.
“We condemn the violent actions of Boko Haram sect and its continued disregard for human life. Boko Haram insurgents have perpetrated countless unprovoked attacks on men, women, and children in their homes, schools, places of worship, and businesses. Their brutality and barbarism know no bounds,” the statement said.

The statement, which was released by Jeff Rathke, the acting deputy department spokesperson, reiterated the country’s commitment to destroying Boko Haram members.

“The United States is committed to supporting the efforts of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) to help the countries of the region increase their capabilities to degrade and destroy Boko Haram insurgents.”

Many countries around the world have also pledged to support West Africa in halting the growing force of terror and insurgency in the region.

I watched with sadness how thousands of innocent people died in Nepal from that earth quake and it makes me wonder if God really finds joy in the death of people. The so called God is claimed to be alpha and omega but how come he sits dumbly and lazily and watch people they claim he worked so hard to create die like fowlshuh Many Nigerians are deep into the belief of this dead God that they no longer use their brains when commenting on tragedies because they have all been brainwashed into believing their existence is owed to a fable God sold to them by Isrealites who are far worse in commiting crimes against humanity in terms of war and killing innocent people. A four month old baby survived the earth quake and i was surprised to see some people thanking God for her survival shocked
Thank God for killing over 5thousand people and saving a 4 months oldhuh Africans are so mentally lazy that they call an imaginary Dumb God in everything. FuCck the foolish God for watching innocents die while watching. that is if the furker called God even exist. IT SHALL NEVER BE WELL WITH GOD FOR HIS WICKEDNESS IF HE TRULY EXIST. nonsense undecided
be careful with what say with your mouth.....
Politics › XENOPHOBIA: A Pharaoh Who Does Not Know Joseph by omoharry(op): 10:33am On Apr 30, 2015
SIR: The recent events in South Africa have suddenly thrown up a new word in our consciousness: Xenophobia – another expression for hatred.

For weeks now, we have been witnesses to xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals living and doing businesses in South Africa. And Nigerians are more at the receiving end of this aggression. Since 2010, when one Jacob Zuma took over the reins of government of that country, the crime wave has risen dramatically.

Zuma represents a “Pharaoh that did not know Joseph” – literally, one who easily forgets the past.

To every country that forgets her history, this is bound to happen. Zuma and the garrulous Zulu king, whose outburst triggered the explosion of the long-bottled up phobia for other nationals in general and Nigerians in particular, have forgotten the demands of African brotherhood. Both have forgotten in a hurry, the contributions other African countries and indeed Nigeria, made towards the dislodgement of apartheid regime in that country.

For a reminder, so many black South Africans were on scholarship sponsored by Nigerian government in this country. The second democratically elected President of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki, was one of the beneficiaries.

Nigeria became a member of frontline states even though it was geographically removed from that region in order to make more impact in the fight against racism in South Africa. Other measures were taken by Nigeria and other countries to free South Africa from minority rule.

This exhibition of bestiality against Nigerians is not just by the common people of South Africa, rather this is a script written by the South African government, headed by Jacob Zuma. Nigerians must not forget the Yellow Card saga.

The iconic Nelson Mandela until his death acknowledged the role Nigeria played in enthroning an egalitarian regime in his country. Mbeki followed suit, but Zuma’s people seem to forget.

A country that forgets its past will have no lessons of history to live on. This is not good for Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. I just learnt that history, as a subject, is no more in schools’ curricula.

I hereby plead with education planners and governments to return the study of History to schools. This will enable future generations draw some lessons and not behave like South Africans.

I pass out a cloudy urine twice two month ago and became paranoid about the state of my kidney.I quickly went to a Military Hospital in Ikoyi for Urinalysis..finally every thing came out fine after showing to my doctor..it only cost me 2000 naira. So naira-landers..i think every one should try and do this test at least once in two years for a proper update about your kidney.
Congratulations op, not every one had this opportunity to survive kidney problem...we lost our dear CHAZE B to this same kidney wahala...even after his wife donated and everything was done in India..he still died... so money or no money survival is Gods grace after kidney transplant.
