THE SITUATION IN NIGERIA.

The lecturer who insists on sex for a young girl to pass is complaining about the rot in Nigeria.

The pastor who pays his driver 20k in Lagos or PH while his own son schools in the US is complaining about the hopelessness in Nigeria.

The trader who removes 2 bowls of rice from the bag, rebags and sells as a 'full' bag is complaining about the wickedness in Nigeria.

The civil servant who comes to work once a week and shows up end of month to receive alert is complaining about politicians who do nothing.

The student who spends the weekend partying only to start posting Instagram pictures on Monday is complaining that Nigeria is stealing his/her dreams.

The motor owner who can't join a simple queue but keeps darting in and out of traffic to shunt is complaining about disorderliness in Nigeria.

Doctors in public and teaching hospitals on government payroll who abandon patients on the floor but are thriving in their private hospitals are complaining that Nigeria is hopeless.

Until we realize that the value of Nigeria today is the average of our own individual values, we will keep fooling ourselves.

We are all architect of our economic development woes. Stop the blame game. Our attitudes and unpatriotic behaviour should stop.
God bless u my brother .This is really the reality on ground. This is who we are but we want magic to happen to make Nigeria better. We pray that our unborn children will be better than us and make this country great someday .As for this generation ,there is nothing to right home about.
Maybe a someone with a hitler personality should come and gassed every one above the age of 18 so that there can be a rebirth of these young Nigerians.

We have more than what they are reporting.
Then where are they ?They should have taken ill and dropping like flies .
How come those sudden death that occurred in kano were not investigated & counted as part of the number of death in Nigeria ?
I think our death toll is over 400 rather than the scanty figures they are telling us.

Biafra is COMING!!! And there’s nothing a Nigger Area citizen can do about it except reclaim their own great heritages
The Igbos are not united at all.Ordinary peter Obi that was selected as VP by a Fulani man , divided the Igbos to the extent that some top Igbo politician were ready to decamp to other parties just becos they felt they are better than the choosen one. Even other tribes had to beg You guys to let peace reign.
The pull him down syndrome is very common among the Igbo communities as compared to the yorubas or Hausas.
You guys should work on urselves before talking about creating a country for urselves.
I don't see a successful BIAFRA with a disunited Igbos.

Anubis:
Of course the figures in kano are not accurate. For one we didn't get any new cases for a week, maybe that was because the only test center in kano was shut.

If you take the whole of Nigeria self, we have only conducted one or two thousand tests at the most, may be that's why the figures are low
Those that had the virus and not tested & treated should have been dropping dead like flies across the country in thier hundreds and thousands by now. What could be the reason behind it, I wonder .I thank God anyway for his grace that we are not experiencing the Ecuador incident.

It's not unexpected. I heard Richard Branson of Virgin say something similar recently. He was lamenting seriously, saying unless the British govt assists, his airline might file for bankruptcy. I hope the whole world would sue China for their negligence. They've caused the world a total loss. Loss of lives, loss of property, loss of hope
China that is already lying that the virus did not necessarily start in China .They said it must have started in other counties but became wide spread in wuhan China .I just Dey look the stupid Chinese diplomat when he was being interviewed .He even lied that the government commended the first doctor that raised alarm about the virus .Their lies are very appalling and an insult to our sensibilities.

GARRIx7:
Nice article!!

I love the way this guy exposed Achebe's lies and deceit.

Achebe truly deserves his place in the "2012 Politics Section Hall of Shame".

What he calls a book is a "body of lies", meant to poison the minds of folks who lack the ability to reason rationally, folks blinded by ethnic bigotry and a supremacist mindset.
Achebe is a renowned writer and I consider your comment as an insult to his name .
Anyway, I consider this as a review for his work which is a normal thing as a writer. Though he might have been too emotional in his write up thus making this piece of work less objective as a writer .
That being said. The word shame should not come in here for such prolific writer.
However, one thing I have observed about the stories of the civil war is that every region tells thier own story differently to favor & absorb them from any blame

i think the water thing is a general phenomenon on the island because during my stay at yaba, i had very clean water. i am experiencing the same thing as the OP currently and i am fed up honestly. i have to use pure water to cook plenty times, i have to pour dettol in my bathing water because of my skin reacting to it, and for washing i can not escape it lai lai, my husband even paid for the tank to be rewashed but nothing changed. i am guessing it is only the water Filtration thing that can be done to curb the situation.
sometimes I think Lekki is over rated .bad water and poor drainage system. If not for the fine houses there and the it proximity to the island, I really don’t know why people should over hype it and ready to pay through their teeth just to stay there.

Why would you marry a cheat and a drunkard?

And if he was perfect before you got married, what did you do to turn him to a cheat and drunkard?
Madam people change in marriage .Most Nigerian men get bored easily with their wives .They start cheating immediately the women become pregnant and no longer attractive to them ..then it continues like that after child birth. They will tell you that they are tired of eating only one kind of soup so they are justified before society to have extra marital affair. They just plain selfish and inconsiderate. As a woman, are you saying you saw ur your husband characteristic before marriage ? Didnt you see somethings that was not displayed during courtship?Though we still have some good caring and faithful men but there are a lot of lazy and irresponsible men out there

The deputy states clearly in the video that these Nigerians where pulled out from their homes and the director who is the Chinese man there doesn't deny it, he shrugs his shoulder

You are really not intelligent are you?

Racism isn't good, whether done by Chinese or we Africans

All of you quoting me and saying you would have beaten me to stupor for protecting him, una get shame ni ? Fire doesn't stop fire. You need water. Show them good example and one good act will generate another. Don't use the bad ones in China to paint the image of all asians.

And no. I don't live in Nigeria but in a South African country.
Try and stay in China for some time and come back with the same rhetorics. They are racist and they do not hide their own. They call us black monkeys with dirty skin yet you are ready to fight ur brothers for their sake .Have you seen any Chinese fight his own to defend a black man?Its only the black man that will fight and kill his own brother just to defend another races but the reverse cannot be said about them.Stay in their country for some years and come back to tell us if they are nice people .

As a domestic worker I guess . She could have also been deceived into thinking that she is going for a receptionist or Hair dressing and other informal job when she arrives but it all turned out to be a lie. There are a lot of agent that engage in these illicit business .
Arabs counties shouldn't be an option for any black person to go except on religious ground or for real professional work that involve genuine companies .
Arabs are animals. If they could treat their women like poo then how do you expect them to treat black women who they consider as lesser being and object to be owned and sold?
So many black women have lost thier lives in the process of trying to free themselves from thier masters. This lady should thank her God that is is still alive .

Abba Kyari was not born in 1938 . He was born born in 1951.

It’s cool for people to disagree. However, once death is involved, we must draw the line.
What line are we drawing here.? That we the masses should all pretend that he was a good exemplary leader that had the interest of Nigerians at heart, while he was alive? That he was dearly loved by all and such we all should put on sack clothes & mourn him?
When Abacha died, the whole nation was happy and jubilated over his dead becos he was a tyrant .
On the other hand there was morning and sadness when we lost people like national human right heros like Gani Fawehimi..Chinua Achebe and co.
Nigerians are not as stupid as our leaders make us be .We know who to weep for genuinely and those we see as good riddance to bad rubbish . Abba Kyari will never be missed by majority of the Nigerians, except by his family and political friend and ass lickers .
Death will surely come to us all but the most important question we should ask ourselves is what legacy are we leaving behind that will retain our names in the sand of time ?
Anyway, May God have mercy on his soul .
