Indaboski007:
Mothers of that set especially igbo people most of them don't remarry. It's this 80's down generation that started this remarry thing for women.

Even in those days women remarry for only children sake. Our generation has lost it everything sex sex sex
In those days ,widows were re-married to the husband family. provided she is Agrees to it so that she & her children can be able to take care off by her late husband brother . It’s only when the children are grown that is when that option will not be made available to her.
But if the woman is still young & had not had any children then she can be allowed to remarry either within or Outside the family.

Mvici:
I Lost Confidence In My Girlfriend The Moment She Asked Me To Marry For My Mother.

I had a girlfriend some few months back before the covid 19 outbreak, that was after we went home from school due to the strike and the pandemic, we both are in the same school which is IBB university lapai, in our final.

So at home this faithful day, I put a call through! We both were talking, laughing on phone, so she ask about my mum, I said she was fine and she now ask abt her loneliness because no one at home, I told her but I'm still here with her, she ask what if school resume and what if we should go for our service next year, she now told me to marry another man for my mum.... lol... telling me who knows" that my mum might like the idea if I should table it with her. Gosh! I actually laughed about it then on phone with her but inside me, it wasn't funny at all.

The next day, what she told me was still bordering me, so many things were just running on my mind...so even if by mistake I wife her in future and the Lord decide to take me when we have a grown up child like me, who is planning on becoming a graduate this year and have even spent 30 years in marriage already....she won't even mourn me for long before accepting another man's proposal or bleeping with another man or probably her one time ex.

I decided to ask my mum with play, mum be sincere to me, you and my dad have been married since far back 1986... U both were in marriage for about 30 yrs before he past away few years ago, may his soul rest in peace..this is 5yrs now are you considering on marrying any one or having any kind of body movement or even can stand the presence of another man in your life?

Guess what her reply was....
Mum said my dad was the only man she know in her life and that's how it going to remain by God grace, period! and I shouldn't ask her such again with cry/smiles on her face because she has me and I will give her groundchil........

Seriously I don't know why I brought this here but pls tell me, any girl that can ask a 52 Year old woman to re_marry even after she has a child, isn't it clear that she can't stay without having sex to anyone as long as her husband is on a peace keeping mission or even travel abroad?

Thanks everyone.
Would you do same if it were the other way round?Would you be able to remain married to your dead wife till you get old and leave this world . You sound like a selfish human being .. a typical man that is a product of our hostile society and their expectation of widows . You do not know what your mum goes through with loneliness . You are only concern about your feelings and not your what your mother want in her inner mind .

I believe if you had ask Mumsy what does she think about remarrying or having a companion then you would have known what she really want .
You are selfish and your girl friend is a nice person with a loving heart .She shouldn’t marry someone like you and you don’t deserve her.

Interesting that none is dark in complexion when we all know the real India have lots of them. Colourism is quite an issue in their movie industry.
All the black Indians belong to the delit cast..they are untouchable and not recognized in their society.
Just the way our men have fetish over our fair ladies in Nigeria that is how Indians fetish over more lighter women.Their women also use bleaching creams like our Nigerian ladies. But the difference is that its only enhances their already white skin while our own dey change completly into doll baby.Hmmm!Let me stop here before my sisters come for my head. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed grin

Oga nobody is encouraging fraud but don’t make it seem like Nigerians only are committing fraud. There is fraud everywhere. Corporations has been defrauding developed, developing and underdeveloped countries right from time. The government with some corporations are defrauding their country and their citizens, citizens are defrauding their fellow citizens, citizens are defrauding the government and governments in turn defrauds her citizens. So it’s what it is and if you like preach from today to tomorrow, fraud will continue and some will get caught, some won’t get caught. Just like some will work hard and get rich while some will work hard and remain poor. Also some won’t work hard and be rich while some won’t work hard and still be poor. So everyone has his or her destiny and whatever the outcome is, let everyone take responsibility for their action.

I myself, if not for Nairaland, I didn't know there is Ikewerre anywhere

I see him as an Igbo man, since 2012.

I don't even know there is Ikewerre anywhere.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Most people see him as igbo.

All these rejection or so, is just your internal problem.

Other Nigerians see him as igbo
Dont mind them .When it comes to BIAFRA struggle the ikwerres are Igbo including the Delta Igor but when it comes to politic, mba they are not Igbis but from Port harcourt and Delta. I just pity those Igbos from PH and Delta thinking the Igbos from the five Eastern state see them as one .

It's depends.
1)If the man is a lazy and only good at building castles in the air Run far away from him
2)If the man always feels insecure or has self esteem issues, please run away .He will make you life miserable and would always want to oppress becos of his supposed bruise ego becos you are the breadwinner.
3)If he is a jolly good fellow with a good heart that does not have chips on his shoulder .A hard worker that is trying out with other work option while looking for a better job ..Then you are good to go.

This is my problem with you women, always thinking you know all about men and what they want and how they think. Stop assuming you know men you only know those around you. WE ARE NOT THE SAME!

To prove we are not the same, the last time I dated a lady who asks for airtime was when I was 17. And it didn't even last. Now I'm dating the daughter of a Nigerian senator. Stop thinking you know men coz you don't. We don't like dependent women we like independent women coz we are for equality just as every other person.
You seem like a gold digger to me.So stop bashing women .So many men are gold diggers but will hide under the umbrella of love to leave off thier girl friends .Pls girls watch out for opportunist .They are every where .

Let's continue bashing broke girls and pretend there's no increasing number of broke guys looking for working class or well-to-do ladies to latch and leech on. Their own is even worse. Broke girls want to eat and buy stuff with your money while those ones won't rest until you're completely drained and in debt. How many broke girls will want you to convert your property to theirs? Broke leeching men are deadlier than broke leeching girls. I will teach my children to avoid both when they're of age.
Thank you my sister.
Romance › Re: Don't Ever Date A Broke Girl by omoharry(f):
semyman:
Most of these broke ladies always play the orphan card as their parents are usually non existent or totally irresponsible
Saddest part is they will be looking out for made men to take them out of their misery while sharing their worthless ass with broke guys in the hood for free
Come on ,you guys should stop complaining about broke girls always demanding for money .Most men feel like Demi-God when dating jobless ladies/student becos they know they are easy lay and would always be less opinionated and not have independent mind like the working class ladies.
.It also applies both way because we have some broke guys dating working class ladies still in one way or the other request for money without the mind of paying back .Its happens both ways .
Working men should date thier kind so that they can improve on each other life.
On the other hand, you guys should stop generalizing about Nigerian women as leaches.I can't remember the last time I ate a mans money.
My parents always taught me to be content with what I have .So all through my university days, I only depend on my allowance till I graduated .The only gift I got from from my bobo back then were birthday gift. In most cases it a symbiotic relationship where we support each other with some money when we are broke.
Then When I started working my full independence began and I have been doing my own things on my own without a blink of an eye.

It's sweeter when you spend what you earn .Its emancipate you from this dependency syndrome .Beside it's better to earn your money than collect from a man, becos it can never be sufficient enough for you as compared to when you earn it. I don't earn much but I feel happy spending my money .
So guys please not all women depend on your money
Please stop going for broke girls only to come back to lament on how demanding they are. And you broke guys should stop disturbing us with your constant lamentation of how hungry and demanding dependent ladies are. What do you expect when you want willie to be happy without bringing any cookies onboard for the lady.
Please do not demand for sex from dependent ladies If you don't want them to ask you for money .If you can date them just to know them without asking for sex like you are entitled to it then they will not have any sense of entitlement over your money.
Please take note that women all over the world look out for men with money . It's has been like that since time immemorial .its not a new thing . Gold digging by women have been there since the beginning of time .
Christianity Etc › Re: Is There Anything Like Generational Curse? by omoharry(f): 10:30am On Jun 21, 2020
tydi:
A generational curse is believed to be passed down from one generation to another due to rebellion against God. If your family line is marked by divorce, incest, poverty, anger or other ungodly patterns, you're likely under a generational curse. The Bible says that these curses are tied to choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 says we can either choose life and blessing or death and cursing.
you are right. A family friend of mine has a linage that is cursed with promiscuity and stealing .It happened to her grand mother ,Her mother and her.
Then when she gave birth to a baby girl . her three years old daughter started tolling that line of stealing from her uncles food that was covered on the table .18years down the line she started that same habit. Now the mother is very convince that there is something wrong.
This is what generational curse is and not the things one you did becos you were stupid and gullible .

The lady should be ashamed of her self and her parents. They are disgusting, shameless nonsensical fellow.

580K for trad wedding? Feeding, clothing, rents and other bills on meager 70k and you bring forth 120K extra bill for an inlaw.

Your husband deserves a standing ovation while madam needs brain reset.

Iru kileyi gan sef..Iru pete ni oo.
The man try ooo! I believe he does not live in Lagos becos that salary is not even enough for me as a working class lady .How he managed to pull off that N580k for dowry from his N70,000 salary baffles me. Not to talk of other expenses in the marriage, means he must saved up & deprived himself from a lot of nice things so as to marry this inconsiderate wife.

Women please before saying I do ensure you have a job or a means of income so you can contribute and support your husband and if possible your own family without dragging him into matters such as this . He should not be force to contribute to your brothers marriage .Your brother is a grown man and should be responsible for himself .

And you men look very well before you leap .Its not about beauty alone or how endowed a woman is .There are things you should look out for in the girls family before going ahead to become thier in-law .

Many African Americans are planning to return and invest in Africa due to the racist fueled murders by both the police and white supremacists in the United States of America. Nigeria does not seem to be a popular destination; the countries of their affection are usually Gambia , Ghana , Senegal , Kenya, etc. But there are a few of them who are willing to take the plunge and test the waters in Nigeria.

I personally think this is a big risk because if there is one country where black lives do not matter, it is Nigeria.

What about you, would you advice African Americans to try out Nigeria initially, for settling down amongst their black brothers and sisters ?

Why this thread anyway , is this another avenue to bash on Nigeria?

You already know that Nigeria has a lot of issues with human right violations. Couple with corruption ,Terrorism,Kidnapping ,Inter-ethnic/religious violence with a harsh economic terrain for any decent person without very good means of income to survive .Yet you are asking if it is safe for AA to come.

America at present is better place to be in at least the only problem they are complaining about is racism .But here in Nigeria, we are battling worse than that . Nothing seems to be working in this country .The whole system is rotten from top to bottom including its citizens .

AA have started thier struggle and things will get better . I am sure with George Floyed death ,Things will turn around.

So no. Nigeria is not a suitable country for them to come at the moment .Maybe in the future when we have all manage to our our house in order.
For now you guys should check other African countries out.
