PoliticsOUR HYPOCRISY...OUR Lies! My opinion About The 2015 Politics In Nigeria by Omoswags(op): 3:50pm On Nov 26, 2014
OUR HYPOCRISY...OUR LIES!

When I look at how partisanship has blinded oursense of judgment and fairness and respect for others' rights, I just laugh. And this stems from the attitude of my brothers and sisters on the other side of the political divide and those who just don't like Jonathan's face.

Imagine these:If you are a Southern Christian and you support the president, you are TRIBALIST.

But a Northern Muslim/Hausa Fulani who supports Buhari/Atiku is not!

If you are seen pushing the president's case, you are PAID to do that, when you do that for the opposition, you are a patriot.

When an editor writes an editorial that is sympathetic to the president, he has been BOUGHT, but the one that abuses the president is a FREEDOM FIGHTER.

A blogger that posts stories positive about Nigeria is a shame and has been paid, but Sahara Reporters is a credible source of news.

When you support Jonathan, you are a JONATHANIAN. Meanwhile, I am still looking for someone tagged BUHARIST for supporting the retired general.

When you support Jonathan and PDP, you 'hate'Nigeria.

But when you support a Kwankwaso who spent FOURTEEN YEARS in PDP and has only been APC member for ELEVEN MONTHS, you are pushing for change!

When local government elections are held in opposition state and the ruling party clears all the seats, DEMOCRACY IS AT WORK, but INEC cannot be trusted to conduct election. In fact, when such happens in PDP state, it is rigged. When opposition wins a bye-election, the PEOPLE have SPOKEN, but when reverse is the case, then INEC has worked for PDP.

A PDP member since 1999 who decamps to APC today at the age 70 has become a progressive, but an APC member who moves the other direction, has left 'light' for 'darkness'.

All the billions being spent by PDP to prosecute election preparations are 'stolen', but the ones being spent by opposition fall from sky.
When a minister buys house in Lekki, he has stolen. But a Lagos commissioner who shares fence with him/her (and even and bigger house)took 'mortgage' to built his own!

The crowd at the president's declaration was'rented' but all those who came to Buhari's were not.
In fact, some of them trekked from Sokoto to Abuja and did not eat for three days because they love the general.

And if you read this and it pricks your conscience, instead of reflecting on it, you will put on a boldface and tag me a Jonathanian and a PDPapologist. Abegi, wetin you go tag yourself?Obamaian? Buharist? Atikuist? Kwankwasonian? Amaechist? APC irredentist? Joor, my hand dey pain me jare. I wan go drink

5th October 2012 seems like yesterday. How time flies... Its already a year since we lost in one of the most gruesome way, four young men full of life who could have oneday become a solution to some of the country's problems.
5th October 2012, Tekena, Llyod, Ugonna and Chiadika had their lives taken from them in the most cruel manner.
Exactly a year after since we lost them, and today we remember them..
May their souls continue to rest with the lord and may they find justice even in death. Amen.

There is no need for that, we cant agree with everything that is being said by people, however, hurling insult is not the solution.

see Nigeria playing Egypt....
Let's watch out and see, because the playoff is really going to be tough.
the only weaker team here is ethopia because they are going nowhere.
Goodluck to any team dat will be paired with ethopia...
Egypt have not gone to the worldcup in more than 10years.. It would be badluck for any team, even "ivory coast" to meet them at this stage.

Good day NL sport fans,
I want to get your views on this.

Nigeria will face any of these teams in the final round of the FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifiers : Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Egypt, Senegal or Ethiopia. Which opponent will you prefer?

For me, i hope we avoid playing Egypt or Cameroon.. They are always a hard nut to crack.
Libya or Ethiopia would be preferable.

Mazi_Omenuko: I stood staring at the hiv result I had in my hands!

A hiv result belonging to another guy had been given to me and I never knew. How could I have missed such important detail? Down at the lab, I had been alerted when the receptionist took the report to the lab scientist. I had skipped the columns for personal info after the lab scientist had tols me my status and took my eyes straight down to the bottom page to check the status as I had earlier seen in chifawu’s.

Standing inside my room that faithful day, I was overwhelmed with mixed reaction. I part of me was relieved that the result wasn’t mine, and another part cursed me for being so stupid.

I had lived with hiv for 3 weeks, a hiv that didn’t belong to me! I stared at my angel sitting on the sofa and looking at me. it was obvious that she too was perplexed.

“How did you miss this important detail; your biodata?” she questioned. “we have to go to the school of health for another test.” She said and stood up.

But I couldn’t move!

Few weeks back, a girl had dragged me to do a hiv test and the result nearly killed me. Here again, barely ten minutes after gaining my life back, someone wants to drag me to the lab for another test.

“I’m not going anywhere!” I declared.

How dare she! I just got my life back and she wants to take it away from me again.

“you must do a second test to end all these confusion.” She said to me.

“what if it turns out positive again?” I asked almost in tears.

She stood and faced me, looking deep into my eyes. “I’m not giving up on you, either positive or negative.” She said to me.

Then I made up my mind to do a second test.

---------------------

I stayed at the waiting room inside the school of health and waited for my result.

I had done the test the previous day, together with Esther, who helped me in filling the forms and other small things required.

My heart was pounding fast as I waited patiently. Esther left her unit to join me at the waiting room.

“you look tensed.” She observed.

“no, I’m not.” I lied.

I couldn’t imagine what will be my fate if the result turns out positive again.
The receptionist , came out from the lab with bundles of test results. I waited patiently as she sorted them out, then invited me to come for mine.
I picked it from her desk. It was stapled as she handed it to me, with my name boldly written at the folded back page. I stood, my heart pounding fast. I handed the result to Esther, who stood beside me.

“open it.” I said to her. She opened it and read through the contents before looking up to me with a sad expression. She looked disappointed and I feared the worst had happened. My heart was about to explode out from my heart. Then her expression changed and she smiled as she handed the result back to me.

“its negative.”

I grabbed the paper and scanned through it, ensuring it had the correct biodata. Then I found the column for the summary. It listed some test results based on count of antibodies. Then the summary was that I was hiv negative.

I was so overwhelmed with joy that I hugged Esther. She didn’t anticipate it, neither did she hold back. She held me firmly as we stood on the centre of the waiting room, oblivious of others inside the room.

“you are my angel.” I whispered into her ears as I held her tight on my body.

She laughed and pulled herself out finally.

“this calls for celebration.” She said.

“of course, and I’m celebrating it with you.” I said.

“I will be waiting for you in my room.” I informed her as she saw me off.

“I will try and finish up on time.” She said and I headed home to my room, a new person, a changed man, full of life and vigour.
_________________________

I got to my room, turned on my stereo and played my wyclef to the highest volume my stereo could produce. I danced around my room with a bottle of wine in my hand.

I went back to the drawer where I kept my condom and brought all of them out.

There and then I made a pact with my condoms that never will I travel down any warm path without them again, whatever the situation may be. I and my condoms agreed to be best of buddies.

I needed something to seal the deal with.

Alas! I remembered, I had a date with my angel. . .

Wouldn't it be wonderful to seal the deal with an angel. . .

I’m back to the game! ! ! ! I whispered to myself.
i cried when i read dis.. Dis is more dan a story 4 me, its a msg.. Tanks mazi
PoliticsUnder Age Marriage In Nigeria by Omoswags(op): 11:29am On Jul 22, 2013
Now that Senator Yerima has succeeded in persuading the senate to support underage marriage what next?
When and if the underage marriage is formally legalised in Nigeria, what’s next?
What then happens to our innocent babies?
These are the series of questions troubling my mind since i watched on television, the former governor of zamfara state move for the reverse of a vote appeared to outlaw underage marriage in the senate.
The most annoying part of this issue is Senator Yerima defending this barbaric act on his facebook page.
With the way things are going i won’t be surprised if some persons representing the gay community start protesting for their rights tomorrow. It is that bad.
Shame on all those senators who bought senator Yerima’s idea.
I can’t help but wonder how your kids will look at you after knowing that you partook in such a wicked act.
Just like the bokoharam, i disagree that this is a religious thing. I believe that some persons who suffer from partial education have taken religion to another level. They should and must be stopped.
Please, Join the fight againstunderage marriage.
God bless Nigeria.
