My first post on nairaland, so please pardon any error.

Good morning everyone, so let me just go straight to the point.

My elder sister has been dating this guy for more than a year now, she became pregnant months into the relationship and he begged her to keep the child, that he was going to marry her.
So she did and about two months ago, she gave birth to a boy.
Just like he said, he started making moves to marry her, she took him to see my uncle (because our dad is late), alongside with one of his brothers, they also went to see some of my aunties; as well as my Mum. So basically everyone knows them together in our extended family, as well as the street where my sister stays (she resides in Enugu State), because he usually goes to spend time with her and I must admit that he has been really nice to her and made sure she has been comfortable and never lacked anything.
Along the line, my sister started suspecting that this her husband to be has been avoiding picking up strange numbers calling him, she asked him but he told her not to worry.
Fast forward to earlier this week, she stumbled upon a text he received from one unsaved number, the text was begging him to allow the sender to atleast come visit him, apparently; this same guy was already married before and already had two grown children before he left the marriage for reasons which she didn't tell me, so his children have been making efforts to reach their father as their mother went to dump them with his brothers and went her way..

When my sister confronted him, he had to open up to her and apologised, stating that he wanted to start another life and couldn't tell her from the beginning because he didn't want to lose her..

Now my sister is in a dilemma, their traditional marriage was scheduled to hold by the end of this year and he has already started making efforts to officially pay her bride price.
Her two options are:
1. Leave him and become a single mother at this young age (she's a student of NOUN and does business which he supported her to expand).
2. Stay with him and accommodate the children from his former wife.

Did you later buy the Generator and pls what has been your experience because I want to buy the 10kva of this same diesel Firman Generator but am sceptical about the Generator having that I both 6kva petrol engine of same firman in less than 7months and it has packed up. As good as it sounds, I don't buy the idea of blackmailing a debtor or sending defamatory messages to their contacts but also I think it will be injustice to be clamping down on loan app if their debtors has done the needful and also this debtor submitted their contacts to the app when they were about borrowing through the app... so every debtor to pay back with speed inwhich they borrowed with.

I bought an Suv in July 2021 with Factory tinted glasses and as at time of purchase no tinted permit is allowed.. I travelled with it last week to Edo state and I got to so many checking points which they asked and I asked back if they check the date on the papers which they said yes and I responded that they should be aware that no tinted permit is available as at this time till now...

I was offered before travelling to get the backdated one but for me it's forgery and thank God I did not because someone was arrested for the forgery at one of the checking points. The policeman just told him instead he should have told them it's not applicable to his car since its newly purchased.. both my going and coming back to lagos, I didn't pay a dime nor was I harassed because of it.

Any police officer that tries to harass you will do so if they notice your ignorance and fear..

As a parent, I use my hard earned money that I worked tirelessly for to buy a phone for my child so as to track him or her in this evil world we live in. Hello all, I got married to my wife 9 months ago and it has been a wonderful experience all through until her friend showed up two months ago. That was actually the first time I was meeting her as she wasn’t around for our wedding as she was doing her masters programme in South Africa. I knew she and my wife were closed as she was always talking about her best friend while we were courting.

She showed up at our house and I thought she came to visit and catch up with old times with my wife so I gladly welcome her. Later in the night, my wife told me she will be staying with us for sometimes while she gets a job. I was upset because we never discussed it before and I made my feeling known. Nevertheless, I had to give in since she said the friend also accommodated her in her room back at school for a session. So, I accepted her living with us and I felt it was only for a short time. We gave her the visitor’s room.

The first trouble started when I noticed her night gown barely covered her bum and sometimes were transparent with her boobs showing whenever she comes to the sitting room. I expressed my reservations about it to my wife and she dismissed it playfully that it was nothing and that what were my eyes wandering there for, so I let it go. Sometimes, she will enter her bedroom without knocking saying she wants to gist with her friend. And I will just stay on my side of the bed playing with my phone while the both talked. I noticed my wife doesn’t care, but I don’t want any issue with her so I accepted it with the hope her friend will soon leave the house.

I must admit that the friend was a bit useful in the house. My wife closes late than I, and her friend stays home when she’s not job hunting, so sometimes she would have cooked before we arrived. Though, I complained about this also, but wifey believe it was trivial. Her friend was intelligent and as times goes on, we talked on a wide range of topic while waiting for wife to come back from home so I stopped complaining about her to my wife.

It became so normal about her dressing that I accepted it like that. There was a day she came to our room to gist with my wife and playfully, my wife hit me with a pillow and before you know it, the three of us were throwing pillows about and playing like kids. They were both jumping on me and incidentally, I had a hard on as we were playin. I noticed her friend was slightly brushing her hand on me. I had to quickly stop and stylishly use the pillow to cover myself until I came down. I was really uncomfortable with the whole situation, but I didn’t complain to my wife again since I know what she will say. What I just keep asking my wife is when her friend was leaving.

The incident that happened two weeks really changed things. My wife took one week leave and decided to visit her parents outside the state we reside. I wasn’t okay with it leaving her friend alone with me, but she said I will just do fine. I tried to come home late for the first three days so I can completely avoid her, until the fourth day when she came into my room. I didn’t want to be rude by asking her to leave, so I asked her to sit down on the sofa in the bedroom. We first spoke about football, politics and other things. I can’t really say what happened, but in a lapse of judgement, we started kissing and then I had sex with her. I felt regret immediately and started apologizing to her for taking advantage of her. What she said really dazzled me. She said I shouldn’t be sorry as my wife never keep talking of our big I am and how sex was so great. And how she wishes her friend can experience what she was talking about.

My regrets turned to anger immediately and I asked her if she and my wife planned this whole episode just to confirm what my wife was boasting about. She denied being in cohort with my wife, but said something that devastated me. She said my wife wouldn’t mind as they sometimes share things together as they are besties for life right from their school days. I had to quickly exit the room to the balcony. We barely talked again until wife came back, though she tried to initiate some conversation, which I rebuffed. My wife further heightened my apprehension when wife asked if her friend really took care of me and that I couldn’t have missed her much since her friend was around. The dilemma now is that I can’t confront my wife about the incident as I will be admitting I slept with her friend. Her friend is also acting normal and I am afraid if she will inform her “bestie for life”. I have been thinking, what if they had been “Sex partners” before and I married a bisexual cos of the way they do play together. I had just been asking her when her friend was leaving and I don’t want to be forceful because of what happened between us.

Note, my wife has been a good wife. All my family member love her like she’s part of them and she is so comfortable with them. We never had any issues except this. I need advice on how to go on so I don’t destroy my marriage.

Out of experience, your wife is a bisexual... her friend is her best half of partner in sex.. so keep calm, everything will be fine. I got a job in January 2016 with salary of 70k. I paid tithe.. I was also married with my son of 1 months old then. A year later had a daughter. I rented apartment I was paying 180k (A room and parlour self contained). We employ Jide Taiwo Property agent to manage the house (Total waste of time and money) they didnt do Jack... We Employ a lawyer Paid 80k and the lawyer collect cash still was unable to do nothing... You cant remove the roof cos if the tenants proceeds to sue you, you will suffer more than what u bargained for.. So we went Traditional as we are local and Ijebu's Ourself..with Just 15k all the tenant left the house within 72hrs of application... The whole house emptied. Till 2mrw; Traditional means is still the best to deal with any crazy person as long as you are being sincere with the whole events...

Good day all.

Please, I need your advice on one wicked stubborn tenant. My family gave this our tenant a quick notice since February this year 2019. As a matter of fact, the tenant and our family went to Lagos Arbitration and Mediation Centre. It was at the Mediation Centre that we both reached an agreement that he should leave our apartment.

So, we gave him 6 months quit notice in February, 2019. His previous house rent elapsed that same February, 2019. So, for the 6 months quit notice we gave him, he didn't pay any money. He actually said he would need 6 months to search for another apartment at that meeting we had with him at the Mediation Centre in February. So, we gave him the 6 months for free.

The 6 months we gave him elapsed at the end of August, 2019. When the 6 months elapsed, he refused to vacate the apartment. So, my family went back to the Lagos Mediation Centre to complain. The Mediation Centre sent him (the tenant) a letter giving him 7 days ultimatum to vacate the apartment. At the end of the 7 days, this man refused to leave. My family complained again to the Mediation Centre and they said they would look into it.

After another 3 months again by last November, 2019, this tenant refused to leave the apartment. My family went back again to the Lagos Mediation Centre and one of the officials there said "So, the man has not left the house since?". We responded yes. At the Mediation Centre there, they said something like they are incapacitated by the law to take any action.

This is December now going to an end. The tenant is still in the house. He has refused to vacate the apartment. It's about 10 months now living in our apartment without any payment. He has refused to leave.

The apartment is a 2 bedroom flat in Aguda Surulere, Lagos. The tenant's name is Mr Chigozie Okongwu James.

We don't want to take law into our hands as it seems there is no solution to the problem through the Lagos Mediation Centre. It's about 10 months now!

What can my family do to get the man ejected from the apartment? Your advice are welcomed.

Well, sorry about the denial. But, if you had shared your profile with us here before you applied, we would have advised you appropriately. Canada is very strict with ttavel travel history. That is one country that if you have never travelled out before, it would be very difficult to get their visa. I have not seen anyone without ttavel history get a canadian visa( i stand to be corrected though). You might have to chill for now and try other countries before reaaplying to canada again

Secondly, as for the ties, you did not mention the documents you submitted. Since you just finished nysc, are you working yet, are you married, do you have landed properties. What documets did you submit to establish your ties at home here. It will be difficult to advise appropriately without this info.
By and large, you have to work on this points raised before you can reapply. Why not look at other countries like schengen to try and boost your travel history
