The problem is in generalisation. Most African men abroad who marry white people treat their wives differently. It's known it's seen. This same man would treat a black wife differently. Why give one reverence and the other a take it or leave it attitude.
We all need to do better and communicate. If your wife has gone to do a twelve hour shift and you have been home, is it fair to expect her to come home and start another shift with you claiming rights. The issue in marriages these days seem to be more along the pressures of living. Talk properly and you will find peace at home is not an illusion.
We are no longer living in a world where it's only the man bringing food to the table. It's both and it will be hard for anyone doing the same job as their husband to come back home and start while he sits and does nothing.

Homehow, Women like to paint a very 'one-sided picture' of marriage, that justify their attitude to break up the marriage, in the Western world!

How many Women in Africa will ask for divorce, because their husband did not cook food ready for them, whenthey just got back from work and he has been at home all day? Almost non (rightly or wrongly, is another debate)!
What this confirms is that the laws in the Western world encourages women to break up the home willy-nilly.

Again, hardly will you see a woman who will tie the knot in marriage, with a man who is jobless throughot their courtship (except for some of those "Rich Mamas" who just need a tomboy for exercises
What this shows is that almost all men are working before marriage, are hard working but something may happen along the way that makes them lose their job and they are still trying to get another. They are not "lazy men".

Again, in most cases, when a wife goes to work, it is to increase the income of the family though mostly it is to make her financially independent.
When a man works it is simply to provide for his family. Most women dont put their income from their owrk, 100% at the disposal of their family and husband, like men do when their wife is not working!
This is what causes conflict in most homes. Your (husband) Money is "our Money" but My (wife) money is "my Money".

Most Men who are out fo job, willuse the free time to take care of the Children, take them to and from School, cook for them,, exercise them and have dinner ready for the wife, when she comes back from work. That is the standard practice from most men, except where there is already a conflict on ground and the man deliberately decides not to help out (this is an aberration and he is doing it intentionally to fight back on a disagreement that is brewing but it is certainly not the norm).

Men generally are very helpful of their wives because Men are protective and see it as part of their duty in the family.
Women are not like that, they feel they are entitled to whatever the man does for them and usually dont show appreciation for it, afterall, its his duty!
As for the Chinese and Indian, l think trying to say they are pretending, is to try to undermine and rubbish a good trait of these people.
How long can anyone pretend in a marriage? Why can Chinese and Indian Women pretend (if that is the method to save their marriage) and Nigerian/Black Women cant also pretend, just to keep their home intact?
Are Black/Nigerian women better than these Chinese and Indian Women who on the average, earn three times more than the Nigerian/Black women (who are mostly Nurses and Care workers, compared to Indiand and Chinese women who are mostly into I.T and other top earning jobs)?

Thing is, pretense or not, these indian and Chinese women know the value of staying in marriage, they value their marriage more than the Child Support, lone Parent allowance and Alimony that drives the Nigerian/black woman, but most importantly, they know the long term eefect of breaking up their marriage, on their children and offsprings!
Go to any jail and compare the percentage of black people in jail, with that of Chinese and Indians and you will see that the Chinese and Indian women got more sense than just pretending for the sake of it!
They dont even have to pretend because in the Western world, they have equal access to the Courts that the Nigerian/Black women use, IF THEY WANT TO USE IT.

The end they say, justify the means, that is why the "black generation" will continue to be a servant to the "white generation", their Mothers are at the root of it.

A few "Opinions/Corrections", without going into too much details, if you dont mind:
Let me use your numbering to make it easier for all of us!

1) Is it a coincidence that Women get custody of the children, 98% of the time and therefore gets PAID money by the ex-husband?
So, in effect, it is always Women getting paid, even when the results of their Parenting is woeful, as can be seen from the number of Prisoners who were raised by Single Mothers (there is that one in a thousand that doesnot fit that description bu tit is too small to be of any significance).
That is the UNFAIRNESS in the law.

2) True, you are not forced to get married but Policies are put in place to force you to marry, if you want to live better!
For example, single Men pay tax at the rate of almost 50%, (most places it ranges between 45% and 55%), but if you marry, you tax band comes down to 21% and we are talking of places where you cant dodge this tax on any income you make!
So, the Law is unfair in that context. Let single and married people have the same tax band.

On the issue of Baby Mama, you will still have to pay because the Woman will run to the Courts to get Child Support payment, not withstanding whether you have been more than financially responsible for the Child, she just wants a steady income from you and the child is a good bait!
Some of them, after getting that steady income order from the court, they will still be "pallying" the guy for extra money along side!
So, Baby Mama arraingment does not help a man that much!

3) Pre Nuptial agreements are good but you know thatit is also being challenged in court, by greedy women who signed it but dont want to be bound by it.
Moreover, most wife to be have perfected the art of emotionally blackmailing their husband-to-be, into not signing such agreements, with statements like "Are you saying you are already planning for the breakage of our marriage? Is that how much you love me? I am not after your money so just forget it, l am not signing anything, etc" ...and the weak and blackmailed husband foolishly oblige, only to regret it in future when the woman shows him that Women, will always be women.

4) You are right about most things you said here.
But the "Top heirachy" dont consider divorce most times because they both have too much to lose and you know rich people dont joke with their assets!
Take for example, most "heavy-weight" Pastors/Religious leaders are groaning under the weight of their over-bearing spouse but they will not consider a divorce because it can "break the Ministry" and destroy the source of wealth and Power they exercise!
So, they would rather enudre it with deep resentment (while they pretend to the members) for each other.
For Top heirachy people, its all about preserving the status quo but for poor people, they have nothing to lose and the woman has a lot to gain.

5) Again, you are right ! the laws are wack and those who are currently benefiting from it , think it is okay and they will support it until it turns against them.
Samething will happens with the marital laws that favour women today.
You hear Women say it is my body and l can do whatever l like with it but when they compete against a transgender, they simply realise that if everyone did whatever they like with their body (like sex change!), it can affect relationships and how it relates to others.

But like someone said, in the nearest future, Men will not need women to or wives to have Sex and have legitimate Children (paid surrogacy, test tube babies, commercial, factory-line produced babies, etc) and the issue of marriage will be Dead On Arrival. That will signal the end of all those marital laws that favour ex-wives.
But at that point, just watch Women start clamouring to stop Men from having Children without going into marriage or from a woman attached to them, so that she can get "financial compensation" one way or the other.
That is how unfair Women can be, to Men.
Women dont undertand 'NOW', that it is in their own "long term interest" to treat Man fairly in marriage and divorce, but they willleanr very soon.

BAIL (MONY) BONG is not paid in Cash!

What it means is that "IF" he refuses to show up in court, whoever stands SURETY for that Bail Bond, will have to cough up the #1Billion .

Sometime last week while on my way to Apapa from Trade Fair, I got stuck in traffic at Orile and within seconds something heart wrenching happened.

A commercial bus driver (an aged man) stopped briefly to drop a passenger in one of the new narrow speed lanes. Trust me, this didn't take him up to 15 seconds.

In commando style, two naval officers who were driving behind him in a civilian car jumped out of their vehicle, dragged him out of the bus and flogged him mercilessly with a leather whip while the old man knelt down wriggling in pain and screaming. How dare him delay them for 15 seconds. Worse was the fact that these guys didn't look above 30yrs.

I felt guilty for being so helpless at the man's agony.

Before you express your sympathy at whatever misfortune that may have befallen this guy, just think about the bus driver above and the multitude of Nigerians who have had same misfortune or even worse in the hands of other uniformed personnel.

There was a video making the rounds, about a month ago, when about five of these NDA Cadets parked right in the middle of the Lagos Ibadan Express road bridge (after Toll gate), stopping all traffice and daring any "`bloody civilian" to come and challenge them.
These guys are under 30yrs of age as well, an average of 22yrs old!

It has been like this for a long time, whenever they release these cowards for holiday or after passing our, they begin to behave like animals.
While the missing Cadet (he is not yet an officer, until he finished fom NDA!) may not have partook in such idiocy, these bys and their officers must understand that harrassing and intimidating UNARMED Civilians, IS NOT a sign of bravery (we know many of them that saw boko haram and fled in all directions like chickens!), it is a sign of COWARDICE!
