PoliticsRe: Why Jonathan Is Guaranteed To Fail-leadership Newspaper by onemopol: 5:48pm On Nov 11, 2013
Last week, the Ghanaian president, John Mahama, fired a minister, Victoria Hammah, who played a major role in his election as president. Her offence? She was caught on tape saying she would remain in politics until she made a million dollars. In Nigeria, that’s about N160 million. Note that Victoria Hammah was not yet guilty of corruption. So why should we be surprised that Ghana has done so well in the past few years so much so that we now send our children to schools in the country, troop to its hospitals for treatment, and those who can afford it are locating their holiday homes there

Useless report. I am here in Ghana and 70% of Ghanians are fed up with the president already and a useless aboki reporter is using him as a reference point for good leadership.

NNPC,CBN,INEC,NERC are all govt jobs but their salaries differ. If you know what NIMC scale is then tell me. If they follow the normal civil service scale , then trust me they will really struggle to get good experienced hands especially in IT.

Why is it so difficult to know what the salary structure in NIMC is. I have used the few contacts i have in Abuja and no one knows the real figures. I have a high paying job already but will not mind minimal pay cut to take a chance with NIMC but no concrete information to help my planning.

i.:
one mopol,  aka one man army. well you in it sha,
1st why did you cheat on her? well if the underlying issues are still there then man sorry to tell you, you are gonna cheat on her again.
forget all the blah blah about getting a new crib, location doesnt matter. as for your pastor well he should get ready to advise you when you go astray again. as for your madam, well una wan marry shebi? make she fork out at least 800k for the rent, she wan make you pay at least 2m 4 wedding, and becus you look woman pay for anoda house, mehn is she serious?
The cheating was not really  planned. Started by seeing a smart babe in the neighbourhood and by some occurences, WE got talking. I have a small problem say stories plenty for my mouth. Being someone i see around often, i never knew that i probably was passing the wrong message to this other lady that i was probably still available. i only sensed that she somehow liked being around when i was chatting with other guys in matters like politics, football and general life issues and e be like say i sabi make people laugh small.

For respect for this other lady i will not give full details of how it turned full  romance(i have explained that to my fiancee). Somehow i let down my guard, maybe because i was feeling that since i had not committed to my fiancee, i should not shortchange myself by limiting my options. This relationship was  almost an entirely "holy" one (phones and general gisting) except for ONCE that i allowed my "body" to rule.

I somehow understand my fiancees concern because our transaction is being done on pure church "no testing" level . Infact at that time she no even allow me kiss. Lol. Only say she don dey allow me kiss small small now. grin grin

So when pastor ask me say "Is there anything you know you have done that if revealed later will affect your marriage"? Fear just catch me na so i open up to pastor. (mind you this was 3 months after i had called off the relationship with this other girl not as if it was this confession that made me stop. i stopped one my own with full consent of both parties).

He(pastor) then said no problem but that i should make it open to my fiancee before going ahead, that if she can forgive me, then we should go ahead, but if she cant find a place in her heart to forgive, then I should move on BUT GO AND SIN NO MORE.

Guy you are'nt even a lecturer yet so you wont have the right view of certain things.

I served as a corper in one of the polytechnics, and still remember all the vows i made before i started teaching but i can tell you that with sustained  bombardment from these "aggressively" dressed girls my story changed.

So any smart babe will know that  fidelity struggles for even a GOD fearing lecturer are much more than with bankers.

BABE!:
The pastor is not at fault. You started it. Plus the pastor only gave you an advice sef, you could have followed it or decided not to. So, it's entirely your fault. Good you told her the truth though; God answered her prayers.

Now she knows she getting married to a potential douche-bag. It's left for her to decide if she wants to move on or not, and apparently she has already made her choice.

So now what do you do? I really don't know. Hustle for the money na.
Kai, is it really that bad? why cant ladies look at the positive side of a guy being the "mugu" to open up this way?. And the real truth is the stint was mainly a phone-phone kind. The idea was just to create a fallback, just in case things did not work out well for us.

Well sha while i do not have anything else to hide, and also do not plan to cheat in marriage. I must confess that i am learning this lesson of  "opening up" the very hard way.

Call me dumb if you care, but just advice because guy man dey tight corner. This is my story:

1. I am guy about to get married to someone i have known for 4 years ( 2 years dating).

2.Got involved with another lady last year who "unfortunately" is a neighbour but called it off when
our differences started showing up.

3. My fiancee at some point suspects and decided to ask me if i had anything with this lady. i denied.

4. on starting counselling i confided in the pastor that i briefly dated a neighbour and pastor says i
must confess to my fiancee and ensure everything starts on a clean slate. This i did and since then wahala don start.

5. We are going ahead with the planned wedding but finacee says , there should not be any trace that i even say
hi to this other lady and that i should arrange to move out of the neighbourhood.
Moving out is not an option for now because i no fit use 2m dey look for house because baby no wan see somebody face.

6. ADVICE please, how do i handle this?

Who wan bet with me again, that by this time next week we would be privileged to have another shallow minded (many of them are ignorant literates) Nairalander post a thread on Fashola not doing anything in Lagos?
You know why? because between now an next week some folks that have hitherto taken for granted that fashola is a performer will be come face to face with mighty potholes, blocked drainages etc, and will be forced to ask again "what has fashola done"? .

Please and please do not call any tax payer that cares to know shallow minded. If you are so impressed with his performance , your duty then is to tell us the achievements that informed such appraisal.
PoliticsRe: What Exactly Has Fashola Done In Lagos? by onemopol: 1:11pm On Jul 25, 2011
^^^^^^

My friend speak for yourself. As for me , Fashola is grossly overhyped. With all what we pay as tax and the massive lagos budget , it is unthinkable that Fashola will not consider clearing/freeing drainages as the rainy season approached. Tell me any part of lagos that is free from massive pot holes as we speak.

People are pained. "eko o ni baje" will surely not take him far until he matches this media hype with commensurate work.

I just laugh when I see northerners back Buhari with all their life, while a lot os southerners are treding the same path that makes some people feel they are more nigerian than others.

Pitch GEJ against any northerner today and the anti-south sentiments will cause northerners to back there broda . Check out the kind of headlines you see from "daily trust" and "leadership" newspapers and you will see what i mean.

i will never vote for any of the nrothern candidates ahead of GOODLUCK, becuase for once we need to tell some Ciromas in this country that the DAN FODIO script they have been playing has elapsed.

Dont get me wrong I am not against good governance, and the truth is GOODLUCK in his ten months has performed above average. Buhari was military head for almost 2 years and there is nothing I mean nothing we can point to aside his WAI campaign and locking mostly southern politicians.

i will say NO this time to another vieled ABOKI domination. If we all belong here, then we should all be qualified to lead, irrespective of tribe.

PoliticsRe: Ptf Projects: Afenifere To The Oputa Panel by onemopol: 7:13pm On Mar 25, 2011
df2006:
The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust
Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies
the marginalization of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects
carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98)
show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West.

Of all the roads rehabilitated by the PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads
representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where
the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of
refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24
per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in
the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa,
Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020
kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military
dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East
States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per
cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of
Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF
projects came from.Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the
National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South
West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked
100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the
North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against
88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the
South-West and 86 per cent for the North.

The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had
zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was
zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State
Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health
clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent.

Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with
83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself.

Demographic Manipulation: The Northern wielders of power have skewed all
demographic indicators to marginalise the Yoruba and confer undue advantage
on the North. For instance, while the old Kano and Lagos used to have the
same number of divisions, various demographic manipulations over the years
have brought about absurd disparities between the two states. While the old
Lagos remains a state with 20 local governments, the old Kano has become two
states-Kano and Jigawa with 77 local governments. These are some of the
indices used for revenue sharing.
Ha, this is really, really serious. I thought this was mere propaganda, never knew that a documented submission by the very credible afenifere captured it this way. The report is more beleivable when one considers that it was at a time when Buhari had not shown any interest in the presidency.

This man somehow has to explain this before we go further.

So the speaker of the Lagos house IKUFORIJI(or whatever his name is? who recently bullied that actress  is from another state too?

Gbawe:
Well, by your reasoning leaders should simply not bother then. They should just carry on bullying the populace as shamefully as those before them did because "what will actually change"? All it takes for evil to thrive is for a few good men to do nothing. Change will not come in a day but little actions , from genuinely sincere and competent leaders, will move us towards civility in the end. I remember a friend who had been abroad for a long time visiting Lagos last after ten years last year. He could not believe the orderly queues for the BRT and the better general conducts of Lagosians. I explained Fashola's leadership principles and policies to him . In the end we both concluded that if leadership is aware, civilised and responsible the same trickles down to the populace in the end.
I simply asked what has changed and you came up with this epistle. Save your sermon please. Is it a law just for the pages of the Newspaper or to just look good? If things are done properly there must be sanctions for offenders and visible signs of massive ipmrovement.
