PoliticsRe: Easterners, What Are Your "Biafra Stories"? by OneNaira6: 6:04am On Jul 31, 2012
odumchi: The Biafran war was a war that dynamically affected all of the Eastern peoples of Nigeria. It not only affected us, but it involved us, consumed us, and threatened us, but it did not destroy us. The war forced us to adapt and find ways to survive when nearly impossible. We were challenged to think unconventionally in order keep body and soul together, and with the grace of God, we did so and survived.

Personally, I am interested in learning about what others faced in those three years. Whenever I come across an Easterner, I have this urge to ask them to tell me how their family's "Biafra story". However, this is easier said than done since the war has left many with sorrowful memories, broken hearts, and tense feelings.

I believe that if we each open up and share our families' experiences, we will not only learn more about each other, but we will be reminded of how similar we are. Thanks in advanced.
You are asking for others story but you neglected to tell us your own story.

chino11: You got it bro, you got me correctly.

We need to work for anything we want in this life including our unity as Ndigbo. I hail all of you, even the ones that have cast reflections on my person. We expressed diverse opinion as to my postulations, which is most needed in building unity amongst us.
Well if this was your actual intention. You should have said so in the beginning. What you wrote was flat out insult to all Igbo group. Sometimes you mean well chino but sometimes that mouth of yours put you in alot of trouble. Hold your tongue dude, even if we piss you off, learn how to hold your tongue. What you wrote would not bring unity nor would it bring happiness to your fellow Anambra people, all you did was invite insult and attack to your persona and attack to people of Anambra. Proud_igbo, the guy you attacked is an Aanmbra citizen like YOU. Watch what you say dude!!!

Onlytruth: You are NOT Igbo. Period. The bolded gave you away.
So, don't try to say what you don't know.

The WHOLE TRUTH is that Igbo is the most organized and united tribe in Nigeria. Quote me on that anyday. Here in Nairaland alone, the Igbo is the ONLY tribe that is organized. If you doubt me, show me another tribe that matches Igbo here in that department.

Only lunatics would be swayed by the words of another lunatic.
Dude what did you expect? Chino opened a door for them and ran away. Did you not see Runs.Tofrel.Efe post?

Nwoke, be sure to see more and more post like that in this thread for the next couple of hours. If Igbos learn to ignore them, they would leave and seek a life. Just Ignore.

manbuchai: Why didnt he present the slums in Enugu?what is the agenda?he is not doing justice to onitsha and owerri. There is no city that does not have shortcomings. In New york,Harlem is worst than most slums in Nigeria. But things like this are covered unless you visit there to see it yourself.A kind of 419 to attract tourist. Most countries depends on tourism for economical growth,as a result does not present things the way it is.Why do you think that cnn keep presenting Africa as a poor continent full of poverty, crimes and wars? It is to scare people from visiting African thereby denying them the benefit of (tourism)economic growth.
He actually did. You should go back and rewatch his Enugu thread. One of the main reason, people applauded him in that thread was because unlike other individuals, when posting city of Nigeria he provided every section. The slums, the suburbs, the market, etc. Go back to that thread dude. He showed the slums of his state as well.

PoliticsRe: Why Ifeanyi Ubah Wants To Be Governor Of Anambra by OneNaira6: 7:20am On Jul 29, 2012
The only right governor for Anambra state is Soludo.

Don't make the same mistake twice Anambra people.
PoliticsRe: Why Ifeanyi Ubah Wants To Be Governor Of Anambra by OneNaira6: 7:19am On Jul 29, 2012
hardywaltz: Childish write up, Ifeanyi is free to contest, but i believe Anambra State has past that level of an illiterate ruling ova a large population of one of the most literate people in Nigeria (not as if it has happened before). Ifeanyi also comes from a not too politically vantage zone as u know most Anambarians are weary/suspicious of Nnewi folks, not to mention that Peter Obi currently has an axe to grin with Nnewi people for all the tribulations they put him through and also the massive support Andy Uba got from Ifeanyi in the last Governorship election.
Trust Anambra people they will eat your money, laff and dine with u but on election day they shall show u their real color, just like they did to Soludo and Emeka Offor.
When you were done writing all this, were you happy with yourself? Nnewi, Onitsha, Akwa, Idemili, etc are you all not the same Anambra peeps. Na wa ooo!!

Ileke-IdI:
Is Awolowo not old enough to be your father?

Are most Yoruba politicians not old enough to be your parent?

Yet you abuse them, no?
Get your fact straight. First of all, I've not talked about Yoruba politician cause I don't give a f2k about Yoruba nor their politician. For one I don't even know any Yoruba politician other than Tinubu and Fashola. Pray tell point out where I've spoken of Yoruba politician other than Tinubu. I attack politician for their wrong doing. I've attacked both Martin Elechi and Rochas Okorocha. I've also attacked Chimaroke Nnamani, which are all Igbo people. There job puts them in line for criticism. FACT

Awolowo on the other hand is a bonfide tribalistic fool and any respect to that man from I is out of the water. My stanch to that man isn't because he is yoruba, my stanch holds on the fact his act impacted my family directly. It is not something I read in a piece of paper but something that hit square in the head at my grandfather's property. I don't respect that man the same way I don't f2king respect hilter. Have you seen I condem any of you people for disrepecting Ojukwu due to age? No. Igbo politicians? No. Even GEJ? No So don't bring that bs in here

Now pray tell don jazzy mom. Is she in a line of job where people are allowed to criticize her or even insult her? Yes or no?
Has she made any impact that have affected anyone negatively? yes or no?

what gave any of you people right to insult that woman then?
PoliticsRe: Plan To Demolish Mosque In Onitsha: Muslims Protest by OneNaira6: 6:17am On Jul 29, 2012
Da infamous: “We are not resisting the decision of the state government to beautify the Bridgehead but the plan to demolish our place of worship is more political and could result in breakdown of law and order because no Muslim would stand by and watch their place of worship demolished for no just cause
Meanwhile, the Transition Committee Chairman of Onitsha South, Mr. Okechukwu Ezeani, said the actionof the state government was not politically or religiously influenced, but a measure to clean up the entrance to the state.
The bold sounds like a threat. Religion of peace indeed. Tufiakwa!!!!!!

Anyway, the mosque was illegally built in a land it shouldn't be, the government has every right to demolition the property if it is affecting their plans. All this protest and headache is unnecessary. Threatening the government would even add in more fuel for the demolition. What ever ounce of chance they had to get the Anambra government to stop, went off the roof the minute they threaten them. This people do not know Anambra people at all, do they? They would test that threat, watch. It gonna happen just to see what you people would do. Una do not know Anambra people at all at all.
PoliticsRe: Plan To Demolish Mosque In Onitsha: Muslims Protest by OneNaira6: 6:09am On Jul 29, 2012
rhymz: what do you mean by forced Igbo muslims in the north? I am presently in Sokoto, this is arguably the seat of Nigeria's islamic power yet there are churches and many Igbo people living here in Peace. Which one again be forced muslim for this we era? Guy relax biko and say things as they are. Can somebody show us one Igbo muslim, all these long epistles will not do anything, any desperate Igbo person trying to curry favour from rich and influential muslims can claim to be muslim and even change his name to some funny muslim name, it still does not make him an Igbo muslim. Show us proof of a practising Igbo muslim that all and sundry knows.
I think he meant "forced" Igbo as in Igbo that converted in terms of safety from the hausa/fulani up north, for more contract and political gain. I do know one Igbo muslim. He's the only Igbo muslims i've met in my entire life and his islam is as fake as it can get. The guy in question converted for contracts alone at least that is what I believe because when he converted, nobody else in his family converted with him including his children and wife. He eats food muslims are not suppose to eat like pork and stuff. He is the only Igbo muslim I've ever met in my life and I have a feeling that man pray silently to God and Jesus. I would not be surprised if he goes to church secretly.

CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by OneNaira6: 5:30am On Jul 29, 2012
Honest to God, some Igbos on NL can be irritating. Honestly asking, reading bright007 post, does she in anyway actually sound Ika to you? or even SS at all? I do not mean just on this thread but in her other post from both “the Igbo cultures are the best” thread and “the true extent of ala-igbo” thread. SMH, you guys cannot be this gullible. Some of una are very knowledgeable when it comes to Igbo culture and history, also very knowledge able when it comes to SS Igbo origin but in terms of attitude, etc., you people lack it big time. Anyway, go right ahead and continue feeding the troll. I will on the other hand leave you people with this; chinyeyeN said it all and I’ll post it for emphasis
ChinenyeN:

I want you to take a step back and view the nature of her posts. Does it in any way resemble someone remotely interested learning from you? Does it in any way resemble someone who might actually care about the knowledgeable contribution you have been making?
One more thing I would like to add; SE Igbo, every single SS Igbo on NL (at least the ones I know), have one time in another told you people that you are over-magnifying a problem that is not a problem back home. The magnitude of deniers are in small portion and decreasing as the day goes by but a journey in NL, a person that isn’t knowledgable of the event would think this is a huge problem back home. Who is promoting that type of ideology? Igbo people of SE region. The individuals whose community this exact “problem” and conversation is on continue to inform you people that you are over-magnifying this problem yet you have refused to listen to this word. They have told you people to stop using this site to continue this argument due to fakeness we have witnessed on this site but you people refuse to listen. I can create a moniker still claiming my actual background but instead denying being Igbo and talking about how Asaba are Benin descendant or something and I can bet you my entire life saving, my life and my entire family, both in-laws and blood related, etc. that out of the blue, multiple supporters claiming the states would surface. Though 99.9% of the supporters would be fake, but doing so just to take a spike at Igbo and SE Igbo would fall for it. Quote me on this. From Ejine to Igboboy to Noiseless (I’m unsure if he’s delta Igbo. Correct me if I’m wrong), to Chyz to me to Ogbuefi to Ezeagu to etc, etc have one time or another told you people to leave it be especially on this site. Take a look at this thread, this entire conversation is about Ika, Ezeagu, a proud Ika man, still an active member but how many times you people seen him get involved with this argument, other than the beginning portion when it was a hot topic? Another Ika dude, not ogubefi, my apologizes but I’ve forgotten what’s his NL Id is, but I do remember the post where he was comparing both Igbo and Benin language similarity and upon asked what his opinion of Abogetean was, did he not say you all should leave him alone and let him continue. He does not represent Ika and he probably does this for the attention. Even Ogbuefi has long left the conversation. Now stretch it out to other SS Igbo, Ejine is a no-show on this thread. What of chyz? No show right. Noiseless? Nada? Igboboy? To shorten what his post is saying, Let it got, leave Agbotean alone. Me? Pretty much saying the same thing as Igbo boy. Why wouldn't you all just listen or even take the hint?

If you people would not listen to anyone else, at least LISTEN TO CHINYEYEN.
