queensmith: for one it will violate their privacy rights, sharing their genetic information between these scam agencies?
They are not scam agencies. I fear I might have given you an incorrect description of the agencies. Many of the African heritage and other DNA agencies are doing interesting stuff with a person's DNA that is beneficial to the said person therefore they are not taking their money and giving them crap in return. Yes, I do agree discovering someone's specific ethnic group is rather a hard task, almost impossible if you ask me, but I feel the reason behind it is to help African diaspora. Many of whom are lost. It is neither harmful nor a way to steal from their customers but rather they are giving them a place to belong. That is how I always viewed it. Plus if you think about it, they not only tell you what African ethnic group, etc. you descended from but they also inform their participants of potential diseases/old age problems in your near future, carrier status, ancestry painting, etc. Some DNA agencies can even trace your lost relative based on their participants an example would be 23andme. Some agencies actually use acquired DNAs to find cures for potential risks of a community. It is not a fraud at all; they doing many positive things with the DNAs.

Though I am Flavour's fan I do agree with everything you said.

It is a shame he even compares his music to highlife.

LMFAO. The north and their need to blame Igbo for everything they do. So how can Igbo bomb your mosques, do Igbo also bomb the churches, do they also kill themselves. We created Hausa and Fulani names? Sought out help from neighboring Muslim countries to join the BH. Smoked garri and stated yelling for "allah", pray tell how many Igbo are muslims? Going back to BH, Igbo smoked plantain leaf and told the world they have access to a well known muslim terrorist group "al qaeda". al qaeda notorious for hating christian and everything western is working hand in hand with a christian group whom believes in western factors. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab must be Igbo too. I laugh in Hausa BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHBuhariHAHAHAHAHAElRufaiHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

The blame GEJ failed miserably, now they moved onto blame Igbo. Chei wetin man no go see from Northern.

PoliticsRe: Obafemi Awolowo’s Letter From Prison (dated 28th March 1966) by OneNaira6: 3:08am On Jul 02, 2012
PhysicsQED: That picture was discussed a long time ago:

https://www.nairaland.com/465853/igbo-women-social-status/4#8980081

They are neither Igbo nor Bini. They are from Somorika, Akoko Edo, Edo state, Nigeria.

Just in case you were wondering.
The link to the accuracy of the picture did not work but neither the less I've somewhat assumed they weren't Igbo or Bini.
I just never had proof to back up my assumption. Thanks though.
PoliticsRe: Obafemi Awolowo’s Letter From Prison (dated 28th March 1966) by OneNaira6: 3:04am On Jul 02, 2012
Katsumoto: The picture is from the Tribune website. It's not like its private website. If you are going to doubt Tribune (when the picture in question wasn't produced to support any argument in particular), then you either have to stop buying newspapers or you request that journalists provide data for every sentence they produce.

Anything to question the argument that you don't support while not producing anything to support yours. Gimme a break
Dude I'm not here to fight you. For one I'm not interested, the argument is pretty much repetance and repetance of each other. When will you people tire unaselves out? lord knows. For two I don't give a f2k whether awolowo betrayed ojukwu, igbo or not. Everyone on this website should know by now my stanch on Awolowo have all to do with his act during Biafra (i.e: Stavation, 20 pounds policy and especially the abandoned property because that sh1t impacted my family). Nomatter what rewrite, what saint paint, whatever anyone tried to do, they can never erase his act during Biafra war. I don't give a f2k if he was betrayed, he betrayed someone, whom got him out of jail, whom put him back to jail, what killed him, whom killed him. All that sh1t matters little to me thus dude I am not here to fight you.

As for the last highlighted. I'll just use a common american term "duh" to answer your sarcasm. Its a well known fact that news media all over the world lie as long as it increases their viewers and or increase their rating (Africans especially Nigeria being the biggest offenders) therefore most nation requires news-media to verify their stories by providing proof unless their proof is an innocent bystander thus he or she remains anonymous. So what sense were you trying to make in your sarcasm? hmm na you know

PoliticsRe: Obafemi Awolowo’s Letter From Prison (dated 28th March 1966) by OneNaira6: 12:41am On Jul 02, 2012
afam4eva: At times i wonder where all these letter emanate from. is it that they've not always been in public domain or someone just woke up in 2012 and decided to write a letter on behalf of Awolowo.
I'm not sure how accurate the letter is but it was written in a book. Though it came out after the death of Ironsi thus noone can verify whether the particular letter is accurate or not. Somewhat similar to how Gowon brought out his own version of what happened before Biafran war immediately after Ojukwu died thus noone around to counteract the accuracy of his own story. One thing I can accurately say is that Nigerians have perfected the terms "the dead cannnot defend thyself".

$10,000 prize for anyone who can find Ojukwu in that picture. Perhaps Ojukwu released Awo and Gowon seized on the opportunity to take a picture with Awo before Murtala's car took Awo to Ikennehuhhuhhuh
I read through out this thread and though so many things had me cracking up on this thread, this particular post has got to be the funniest of them all. comeon dude, how are we to verify whether the caution on the pictures is accurate or not. It is similar to how one of ya'll posted a video from a Nigerian news industry with the title Biafrans arrive lagos and upon watching the video, everyone on the boat was white. Also how we've seen the same pictures used by Nigerian news media to illustrate "Igbo leaving north in droves" in this century. Dude seriously? How are we to verify the accuracy of the caution on this picture. That's what got me cracking up

Let me explain myself better in a way you might grasp it

This is Ojukwu in 1500 sitting and thinking of the future of Igbo

This is Gowon and Ojukwu in 1995 after Biafra war
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/lKXK2Er8UZk/0.jpg

As you can see, I can add any form of title to a picture, just because I did so does not make it true unless it can be verified as accurate. Though yes in this example, my pictures can easily be traced and found out the title in each is inaccurate because all the pictures are found online in google but what if I posted it in a blog or rather yet a website destroying any evidence to retrace it. Does that now make the title accurate? of course not.

A real life example would be this picture
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3qpe1yGpF1qga40to1_500.jpg
This is a picture of Bini and or Igbo women in the 1500s

This pictures has been moved and tumbled so many times, titled changed in different blogs till the point noone in this century is aware what ethnicity the women in the pictures are. So far we've seen both Igbo and Bini claiming them as their own. Does that make it accurate? might or might not. The women might not even be from either of the groups, whom knows they might not even be Nigerians.

Whenever una argue history, una make me laugh.
CultureRe: Ndokwa People Of Delta: Interestd In Finding Out More of ur Background & Culture by OneNaira6: 1:07am On Jun 24, 2012
Andre Uweh: Ndokwa people speak a dialect called Ukwuani. Ndokwa is one of the 9 local councils in Delta state called Anioma or Delta Igbo.
They are a hardworking people and peaceful minded. Their chief town is Kwale, also is Aboh situated along the Great River Niger. The slave of Igbo origin who bought his freedom and later wrote about his life is from Ndokwa. His name is Olaudah Eqiano.
I never knew this. Interesting, he's biography did it talk about how Ndokwa is during tha era. If so, in comparison to Ndokwa of today how does it differ or similar.

sorry to OP, I know it's a little bit out of your topic for thread but i'm intrigued to know

Like I said earlier, Ibos are not known to be smart... How can you compare EROSION, with FLOODING?? What's your qualification again?? I hope you're not still in Secondary school.

EROSION: The group of natural processes, including weathering, dissolution, abrasion, corrosion, and transportation, by which material is worn away from the earth's surface.

FLOODING: An overflowing of water onto land that is normally dry.

It's funny how Igbo claim SS as well.

All the Igbo regions in SS don't have a single drop of oil, so you guys can't claim nothing over there.

Itsekiris, Ijaws and Ilajes own all the Oil in Delta State.

Ijaws own all the oil in Bayelsa.

Ogonis and Ikwerres own all the oil in Rivers.

Ibibio and Annangs own all the oil in Akwa Ibom.

Igbo parasites, get a life.
